Poor Yoda. I can't even imagine what it feels like to outlive countless generations, watching all the younglings you trained die in battle, join the Dark Side, or die of old age, not to mention witnessing how the Order you protected during your long lifetime was destroyed in one night. Truly a horrible life

@tacidian7573 The Old Republic is the Middle Ages. George Lucas said it was an era when the Galaxy was dominated by the Sith Empire until they destroyed themselves. Yoda lived through the High Republic, an Age of Piracy and Colonialism period in the Outer Rim.

This really hurts to watch. Each of the clones took their lessons from Yoda, and changed as a result of them. And it hurts seeing Jek and Rys die while Thire lived. They really became more than who they once thought of themselves.
Perhaps you can do this video again with Plo Koon's moment with Boost and Sinker. And I hope their fates are more positive than Jek and Rys'.

That was my favorite episode growing up.
I am an Identical triplet with another brother a year younger. When this episode came out the 4 of us were watching it and it was amazing. We had always been treated as just 4 of the same person at school and suddenly here was someone looking at identical brothers saying that while they look similar they are all very different. Its still why that's my favorite episode as it greatly affected my life, and even now when people at work get confused and think my brothers and I should just all like the same things and be exactly the same, I'll take them aside and have them watch this episode and it fixes the issue every time. Thank you star wars.

I like to think that Commander Thire didn't try too hard to find Yoda: just worked hard enough to make it look good, but let him get away. I know that's not really consistent with Order 66. I'm sad to see these ends, though it's probably consistent with the tone of The Clone Wars. Still, I got the 3.75' figures of Jek, Rys, and Thire, and they always hang with Yoda in my collection. I understand why Jedi like Yoda wouldn't try to change the future. Other instances showed how preventing it often led to that exact future happening (e.g. Anakin's vision of his wife's death).
However, that doesn't mean Yoda couldn't have created contingencies to ensure the Jedi Order somehow survive.
Keep in mind he still tried to stop Palpatine even though he knew the future was lost. At least, he could've created a secret contingent of Jedi and have them relocated to a secret part of the Galaxy, where they and backups of their teachings could survive, thus ensuring the survival of the Jedi Order. As such, the future still plays out as the Force wills it and Palpatine's plan wouldn't have been devastating as it ended up becoming.
How Ahsoka stopped an assassin from killing Padme is similar. The Force revealed instances of the assassin. Thus, Ahsoka worked around it, ensuring the future plays out while saving Padme in the process.

@@theduke9292 That's why I said it would be a secret.
Basically, it would be a location which only Yoda would know, and he could occasional send signals to the temple. Thus, when he and Obi-Wan went to Coruscant Temple, he could destroy the signal before it's found, thus alerting those secret Jedi that something has gone wrong and they should commence pre-planned measure to restore the Jedi Order.
This is possible since there was a section in the Jedi Temple which possessed certain ancient artifacts that the Empire didn't know about.

& this is one of the reasons why grandmaster Yoda failed as a Jedi grandmaster.
Literally had the force given him a future right there & then yet the man still chose to DO NOTHING ABOUT IT 🤣⛔️.

I’m just team sith brother & im a firm believer that palpatine deserved to win when he did for as long as he did for.
Luke’s new Jedi order in the comics , legends etc did a much better job then Yoda’s for sure ✅.

In revenge of the Sith, when Yoda cuts down the clones with no remorse, if Yoda knew the clones, wouldn’t he be feel guilty for murdering the clones who were forced to obey the Sith or try to convince them not to obey Sidious? The clones were forced to obey the sith due to their inhibitor chips that were in their brains. Yoda never hesitated to cut the clones down. So why would he do if he bonded with the troopers, seeing them as people instead of weapons for the republic?

So, thyre will serve in a unit away from frontlines n by doing jobs that are more security stuff than non stop warfare in meatgrinder style battles as cannonfodder? I see, very zragic indeed.
The first also seems actually not to have followed yoda's advice. He retrained so he can do a job that let's him use heavier guns.
Of course scouts r no jobs for dummies, but quick, sharb thinking is certainly way more often required in highly dynamic n complex combat situations, than as a sniper, who has the peak effort in thinking done once he figured out his target's situation n the one himself will need to hit it. After that it's mostly patience n it seem actually a job, that requires to avoid thinking for long timespans to block out effects of being bored or 4 example in situations, unusual in a normal mind. Like having to lay low n being unable to stay n go doing so, once u need to pee.
Not many ppl would enjoy to think about it deeply when they need to lay in a puddle of their own pee, so they can kill a guy in the most cawardly way possible. Even less if they had the pleasure to have recieved a good portion mando warrior honor, lol.
So we have one that we know to haven't been killed n having shifted to a safer job, one who actually chose a path that he was told to avoid n one who might have died but perhaps in a quick n painless way.
In other words the clip is wrong in 2 of three n has only a 50 50 chnce to b correct with the 3rd. I'd call that false advertizing.

Better to have been killed by Yoda then carry out Order 66 and live life as a lie. As for the others, pretty much the same except in battle.
