    I love riding here in Bellingham on my Ibis Ripmo V2, and adding the Fox 36 Grip2 fork has been really fun- especially as I start to get the set up and tune for the fork more dialed. Big thanks to Rob at Motion Instruments for loaning me the fork gauge. You can learn more about this telemetry kit at their website: motioninstrume...

    Ever notice that PNW logo on my handlebars? No, I’m not repping my locale that hard- or wait, maybe I am- but that’s actually a company that my friend Aaron runs! PNW Components makes some high end controls, including bars, stems, grips, dropper posts, levers, and a few other awesome items. I love riding here on Galbraith Mountain, it’s home to over 65 miles of singletrack, and has enough weird optional trails that I rarely have to repeat the same route twice! These trails are the result of the work of countless volunteer trail builders, and are advocated for by the WMBC. They are working hard on getting a legit, safe parking lot built at the moment. This is great, as the current set up is down right scary. If you can, please check out their page here: www.wmbcmtb.or...

    Will send you a handlebar button. Idea is, just hit "auto" record when you start your ride. When you get to the spot you want to start recording, just hit the button, then hit it again when you are done with that section. Then you can easily set a filter between any 2 pins in the recording and isolate the suspension data with out junk data (climbing). will keep you hands on your bars and not on your phone :-)

    Hey Jeff, amazing work as always! Since this video is all about suspension performance, how much does the handlebar clamp size influence the way the fork works? I know the PNW range you're using is 31.8 and after a few years on 35 mm I'm considering going back to 31.8 for my new Ripmo AF. What's your take on the whole 31.8 vs 35 debate? Cheers man, you're a big inspiration. Greetings from Spain.

    Hey Jeff, not trying to pump your tires but I just wanted you to know that Ive been watching all through lock down and hitting the local trails afterward and thanks to the videos Ive been so much faster on the down hill flowy trails. I realized by watching you that the bike can handle so much more than Ive put it through. I finally figured out that if you stay relaxed and keep your speed the bike will perform better than going too slow and riding stiff. Thanks, and keep up the great work. "Speed is your friend"

    Just a point of clarification, that’s data acquisition and not true telemetry.

    • @robprzy
      @robprzy 4 роки тому +1

      By definition, telemetry is remote monitoring of an instrument. Since's he's on the bike, not really remote. Data Acquisition is just a process for periodically recording data. It's literally a list of values . Data analysis is the process that takes the raw data and up levels it to macro statistics. This could be charts, scatter plots, tables, etc. To give you an idea of complexity, we had data acquisition working in 6 weeks, but it took us 3 years to turn the raw data into the analysis provided in the app. Jeff just has a fork sensor but the system is capable of quantifying the bike interacting with the ground. This analysis incorporates the bike leverage curve and head tube geometry. Every commercial system we've seen just quantifies shaft motion, it doesn't abstract the bike.
