- In this Signal Colors: Primer, I'm "super pumped" (watch the video, I'm clearly excited lol) to do a quick demo and rundown of the Replicator D'Luxe tape delay from T-Rex effects. This REAL tape delay is a modern version of the character-rich vintage tape echos of decades past. Follow along while I show off some of the features and sounds, and come back for my full length demo and review soon!

Lovely tone on the bass melody - would you be able share the patch for that? Haven’t had as much luck with organic sounds from the digi : / keep up the amazing vids!
Hey! Thanks for the compliment! I think it's from an Elektron sound pack from Jogging House called Haunted Hearts - www.elektron.se/us/haunted-hearts - I can't be 100% sure though because I actually just sold my Digitone after owning it since release day!

Alberto Balsalm type beat 💯 Man, I do love an elegant pedal. Sounds great too but I never find a use for anything other than very conventional delays. I guess my music is just too norm-core.
Ha! You’re so right! Just need to speed it up lol but most of the elements are there 😅. And yeah, if you’re in need of a conventional delay (that is kinda unconventional in execution anyway lol), this one has some mojo at least haha.
I was thinking of getting this instead of a Roland Space echo. Any comparing the two?
Hey! I've never used a Space Echo (original or modern Boss digital spinoffs) but for me, seeing that the T-Rex units are modern and have easily user replaceable tape cartridges, it just makes them seem like a safer bet. The idea of servicing and maintaining an original/vintage Space Echo kinda scares me away from ever owning one personally haha. I think they're super cool and sound great though, but a little riskier I think!

Yep! Mine is from the latest run! I've seen them around online at the usual spots. =)

I knowww - that’ll forever be a complaint of mine for any mono effect that I like - “if it was only stereo” haha, but after doing these videos I’ve come to understand not everything really needs to be stereo…but would usually be better if it were haha 😆

not everything has to be in stereo things easily get lost in the mix. Mono is necessary to let things in stereo work their magic. Young Jedis.

Oh no! Did you buy it new or used? What happened? Did you replace it?
@@Duskmos New. I don't know, there was some pretty serious distortion in the Circuit & the behavior was just really inconsistent. Nah, I didn't replace it. I still have a Tape Machine & a Mixer though, so I'm not without Tape Delay... in a pinch.

Its finally happening! companies are recognising you! ( maybe they already did, but it seems to catch on now) Also the Soyuz Launcher. Maintain this! it takes years to build a "brand" like you doing!
