  • SE Electronics V7 microphone handling noise test, handling Noise demo. The built in shock mount but using good gain levels and proper microphone technique can cut the handling nose down where you can barely even tell it's there. well also compare the V7 to the AKG D5 and the Shure SM57.

    Thanks for the video. Got your point. For some reason I still prefer how v7 sounds with higher gain)

      i think you really want to find the right balance, if your gain it too high the mic can sound a little hot and it will pick up more noise from the room and what not, if your gain is too low it can kind of get stuck in the Noise floor so you just kind of need to play with it and figure out what works best for you and your equipment. louder can sound better, maybe try to do a recording at higher gain, one at lower gain, match the volume on editing software and than see if you can still hear much of a difference once both recordings are at the same volume.. it's kind of hard to match them perfectly tho
