Chernobyl was amazing. Watched it twice. Paul Ritter was the best in it too I think. Also... missed the live stream, so congrats on baby Boom boom from Scotland :)
That's so weird. I was about to leave a comment recommending Chernobyl - it's phenomenal TV. Paul Ritter (along with the rest of the cast) is absolutely brilliant in it. Mark Heap is also a brilliant character actor. I'd highly recommend reacting to Spaced - a sitcom with him, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost - directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz etc) Also take a look at The Day Today and Brass Eye (2 spoof current affairs shows with Chris Morris) and Jam (a very surreal, very dark sketch show) They're all well worth a watch. On another note - delighted you're reacting to this and Man Down - you have impeccable taste. You and Embrace The Suck are 2 of my favourite reaction channels. All the best, A Muppet.
My husband loved chernobyl, you have great taste. I watch you reacting to our comedies and you notice things I missed the first time I watched themselves it makes it twice as funny😂
If Paul Ritter did nothing else apart from play Martin Goodman and Anatoly Dyatlov then that would be a splendid legacy - two outstanding performances. Plus it’s not like he was acting alongside poor talent: both shows are brimming with excellent acting.
in the show the boys actually do hit each other really hard😭 i remember during one of the scenes where tamsin had to kick tom and missed the pad to protect his leg now he’s got a scar😭
when baby boomer comes and is old enough to write .......you need to show him this episode just so he knows to keep the diary super secret 😂 it would be cruel otherwise 😂
18:27 I'm watching this for the first time too and I can only imagine it's a Karate belt. I don't know if other martial arts use belts for ranking and if so, there colours but It looks textured, like fabric and Johnny had to tie it on. I know this doesn't make sense since Adam clearly can't defend him self or fight properly, but maybe he just can't because it's spontaneous, in awkward circumstances, like sitting next to each other at the fucking dinner table, he doesn't really want to badly hurt Johnny (but we'll have to wait and see) or he's just forgotten most/all of it from no practicing.
Zebra 'Z' Zebra - went on to become an award winning DJ in the techno circuit of the late 2000s then retired and has not seen in the public eye since. Probably moved back in with Lion and co back in Maryland!

Now there'll be at least one more 'Murican who will grow up to appreciate the British humour. 😉 It would sound weird calling it "Baby Boomer" though so i'll call it "Mini Boomer" instead! lol (i'm only saying "it" as I assume it's too early to determine the sex yet - i'm not trying to be offensive) If your child keeps a diary later in life though, don't read it! 😮
You two are such a happy couple, and if you keep on laughing, I'm sure your kid will be a kid who laughs all the time as well 😂. From parents to kids, we pass it on! @@Whippy99 absolutely, if you read your kids diary how can you expect them to be able to come to you when they need you. Everyone has a right to privacy what ever the age.
You shouldn't read people's diaries, it is a personal thing, and though they're your child, they are an individual. It is their thoughts, and it would be a betrayed of trust to them if you did read it. If you choose to read it without telling them, you're withholding information, and you'll have to keep that a secret until your grave, OR eventually tell them years later and reveal you've stolen their most personal, precious, private thoughts. Why do many people write private things in a diary that they don't want anyone to ever know? Do they think that years later they'll want to read about it? If it's important to their lives, they'll remember it; if it isn't important, why write it down & keep a record of it for years?
Chernobyl is a must see, seriously brilliant. RIP Paul Ritter, his casting was the only reason Tamsin Grieg agreed to do the show.
It was generally great but the whole shooting pets subplot had no relevance to anything.

“STOP IT YOU BLOODY WOMBAT!” As a father approaching middle age I can relate to moments like that. You can look forward to that too, King Boomer!
"Chernobyl was a real downer" Yeah it wasn't the proudest moment in human history.
That stab was real, Tom wore padding, and Simon shivved with a real giant pencil
