I'm a book reader of the dance of dragons . I do get why they made some changes like the changing of alicents age and some other things. Yeah, i understand, but season 2 lacked depth and plot because season 2 was supposed to be the aftermath of decisions made in the first season . What i hate is them trying to make this rhanerya and alicent ship thing work bffr they have both lost a loved one because of each other either indirectly or directly and you expect them to kiss and makeup . And making alicent just useless just made me raging alicent is very important to the plot , and making rhaenrya to look like a saint is also annoying she was no saint none of them were they were all morally grey .
Exactly The story should not be black and white it should be grey everyone just playing the game to further there own interests they should be ruthless not acting like this is just a simple friendship quarrel the show forgot it’s everyone’s story not just a story about two people’s friendship friendship
You cant tell these stories with only 8 episodes too much has to be taken out and changed to fit the schedule and that fundamentally changes character development and motivations e.g. rhaenyra and alicent being made saints now
Yup that’s another thing that really hurt the story why hbo decided to cut the amount of episodes for a show that did so well in season 1 is beyond my understanding
@@Letstalkaboutit98the final episode has alot happen in the background, there's a blink and you miss it appearance of Roderick Dustin aka Roddy the Ruin in the final moments, and Aemond sends for Otto and then mentions not hearing word and its revealed its because he's a captive, there's more stuff but it's all crammed or omitted, the word was it was the recent turbulence of the industry strikes but its disputable since hotd filmed in Europe.

Totally agree with your series review. HoTD for me was so underwhelming to the point that m not even looking forward to S3
Honestly I was so hyped before but right now it’s turning into something I don’t really care about

You don't often hear so many good points at the same time. I am impressed! Loved this video.
Thanks for the compliments 💪 glad you enjoyed the video👍
Offt you know it looks bad when you struggle to remember anything good or note worthy about the season
For real
Trying to remember anything of note except the battle of rooks rest or maybe blood and cheese
So many things should have been done differently
Honestly it could have been a beautiful story

Yea that’s true those strikes should have not really affected it
I think it’s more studio and writing decisions
