Yoo ZT is that a bells of steel bar? I've got a little home set up and I'm trying to find a good oly bar that isn't too expensive, liking bells of steel as an option bc I'm in Canada. I know you were using their industrial bar in earlier videos, just wondering if the b.o.s is a better option. Love your content big boy!
Dialled animal of the day: Capybara. the largest rodent in the world who befriends literally every other animal. they've been spotted riding on alligators across huge rivers etc.
Lift Companion is probably my favorite content and it always fires me up to go weightlift. Thanks for what you do. I love this community and it makes me excited about the sport.
My take on a dialed animal, Chameleon. Dude is SO dialed, color change, mega eyes, giga-tongue. Out in the wild so dialed in he doesn't even need to be able to run, whether they can or can't I've never seen it.
Team 230 checking. Tried belt squat for the first time today at a new gym and blasted the ever living shit out of my legs and my "bad" knee felt fine. Can definitely relate to Dylan on that one.
@@taylorg8509 Hell yeah! Oddly enough there is another machine that kinda looks like a mix between a pendulum squat and a standing calf raise, Must pretty close to your variation!
Hey Zack, I've loved this video and this session, I probably rewatched this video like 5 times while working because, for some reason, it clicked for me. That's it, my dude. I hope you have a great week. Much love from an OG Brazilian fan who never commented, lol
Started my lifting journey at 14 years old and 5 foot 9 inch 145lbs Bodyweight. When I was 18 years old I hit a 585lbs Deadlift, 365x5 High Bar Squat, 305lb Bench Press, 20 reps Pullups at 5 foot 11 inch 210lbs and jacked. Got up to 6 foot 250lbs and lean at 25 years old. 405lbs Bench Press, 600lbs Squat in sleeves, 715lbs Conventional Deadlift, 480lb Front Squat in sleeves, 180lb Weighted Chinup, 185lbs Standing Strict OHP for 10 reps. Got to my heaviest at 6 foot 1 inch 275 to 285lbs my later years. Around then I did a 750lbs Beltless Conventional Raw Deadlift for 2 reps, 615lbs Squat in sleeves post knee injuries, 515lb Front Squat in sleeves post knee injuries, 450lbs Bench Press, 385lb Incline Bench Press, 315lbs Seated Military Press. Natty to boot. Especially as a natural mass moves mass. Up to Spring 2023 I maintain around 260s Bodyweight at 6 foot 1 and pretty jacked with some fluff. Hit 300lbs Bench Press for 17 reps, 405lbs Squat for 17 reps in sleeves, 17 reps Chinups, 185lbs Seated Military Press for 18.5 reps.
People need to understand how true what Dylan said is. If you give someone a program and they love/ are obsessed with training and the program is poop they can still progress even if they are advanced as long as there is some form of progression.
This is why I set up my gym in my garage so I can just open the garage door when it's raining and have the peaceful sound of rain little bit of music and the weights.
@zacktelander So, mentioning dialed animals, look into "carcinization." Term that's been around for 100 years about how there have been so many different ways that crabs have evolved convergently. Like, there's 5 different major groups that have evolved into crabs and 15 different paths that I know of. Wild shit. Crabs aren't dialed. But everything else dials into crab.
@zacktelander love the lift companion! Less is more these style videos are the best the fancy productions are grand but this is by far superior more intimate and feels like wee know you guys personally 👍🏻
Next Dialed Animal of the Day needs to be the Pronghorn. Fastest land animal in the US and the longest migration pattern in the lower 48. Plus they’re the only horned animal to shed their horns, and they at one point outnumbered people in the state of Wyoming. Pretty badass
I vote crabs for the next dialed animal. Scientists have found that at least 5 separate species have evolved to develop a similar body to a crab, suggesting that the crab's body is the pinnacle of evolution.
So before i sqaut i warm up with calf raises because it systemically warms my body up to having the bar on my shoulders and weight on my spine, then i do 2 sets of front squats and 5 sets of split squats staying at 150 lbs, then i go straight to high bar back squats going to my working weight
Dylan isn't wrong about the lobsters. There's a number of animals and plants, that just like lobsters exhibit something called "negligible senescence, which basically means that once they reach maturity, they don't really show any signs of degenerating with age. Mortality doesn't go up, reproductive rate, etc etc, all remains basically the same. A few species have even been observed to be "biologically immortal, such as hydras. There are even some species that exhibit negative senescence, where their mortality rates go down as age increases. It's pretty fuggin' fascinating.
Yes. Personnally being formerly fat and training for years on strength only has wielded good results for a natural. Natural BP at 450+lbs, Dead at 730lbs+. Also I'm not fat anymore, just menacing now, but still at like 270lbs. So people who say that "you can't bodybuild by lifting heavy", Imma say pure BS Actually I've received my best compliment yet two days ago at the doctor : "Can hardly hear your heat well, too much muscle mass on your chest" I had to tell my wife right away 🤣
sort of contemplating whether to substantially go up in weight. how heavy were u at ur heaviest? have u run into any health issues at ur biggest? (these are my personal concerns, not any kind of criticism btw!)
Gonna watch the boys while I eat two lbs of beef and a gallon of seed oils for dinner. Dessert is a handful of loose Monica LeZynskys I found in my gym bag
Tardigrades are pretty much indestructible by any conventional metric that would normally kill any other biological organism. Genuinely one of the most badass and dialed animals.
Dylan is back and we’re on the driveway. In the rain. What a time!
By far the best episode of this series.
great episode, would love to join you guys 🥺
Are you for (t)rain?
I’m shrimpmaxxing and Dylan is bloatmaxxing. We have all our bases covered.
Crushing a pizza this exact moment. All hail the bloatmaxxing.

Dog.... That "worms are out" story has me absolutely rolling. Fantastic work on being weird Zack.
Hey really happy you brought back the lift companion. This is my favorite feel good do nothing program
Dylan during the animal segment is how girls react to me when I start talking about Olympic weightlifting
As a father of two young kids these videos are awesome. I consume them in pieces over the course of 2 days.
Favourite lift companion yet, so chill and some of the best conversation to date. Most dialled animal segment is amazing, well done both of y'all
For a dialed animal, check out the Tardigrade/waterbear.. 🙂👍
I second this
Dialled animal of the day: Capybara. the largest rodent in the world who befriends literally every other animal. they've been spotted riding on alligators across huge rivers etc.
It's not that the Capybara "befriends" other animals. They simply are the organismic manifestation of the statement "it is what it is"
You two dudes are the most fucking relatable people on earth and lift companion is the best thing ever
Most dialed animal segment is my favourite thing this week
These driveway lifts are the best vibes. DIALED bro.
“This is the weightlifting version of Bob Does Sports” is the most real assessment of lift companion I’ve ever heard
WORMS ARE OUT 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
Lift Companion is probably my favorite content and it always fires me up to go weightlift. Thanks for what you do. I love this community and it makes me excited about the sport.
These are the best type of ZT videos.
To Zacks point in the video, I wait to watch Lift Companion while I’m working out. Love feeling like we’re all “lifting together”
Such a daily frat guy conversation I love it
Love lift companion and I love the camera angle behind you guys while you’re bullshitting on the bench between sets in the rain. So comfy
Both are your videos solo are pretty good, but when you guys feed off of each other, it's gold
My take on a dialed animal, Chameleon. Dude is SO dialed, color change, mega eyes, giga-tongue. Out in the wild so dialed in he doesn't even need to be able to run, whether they can or can't I've never seen it.
these type of videos are my favorite! keep doing these Zack
Team 230 checking. Tried belt squat for the first time today at a new gym and blasted the ever living shit out of my legs and my "bad" knee felt fine. Can definitely relate to Dylan on that one.
Jealous your gym has that , I can do a ghetto belt squat at my gym , I use the standing calve machine and it works pretty good actually
@@taylorg8509 Hell yeah! Oddly enough there is another machine that kinda looks like a mix between a pendulum squat and a standing calf raise, Must pretty close to your variation!
this is peak content. i have bars and plates in my room and every lift companion notification is a compulsion to lift with my bros on the big screen
Can confirm I'm one of the people listening to this podcast-style on my way home from the gym.
WE LOVE LIFT COMPANION!
13:48 there he said it, he said the thing!
Hey Zack, I've loved this video and this session, I probably rewatched this video like 5 times while working because, for some reason, it clicked for me. That's it, my dude. I hope you have a great week. Much love from an OG Brazilian fan who never commented, lol
Full Bloat for the difficult.

"You really should get on..."
"Tren"
"..the stiff bar and do a back squat"
😅😅😅😅

I always love the Lift Companion intro!
I love lift companion
I snatched to this in my garage. Very chill vibe
you irradiate good vibes , thanks
I need more of zack tisming over prehistoric fish
At 19:09. yes Zack thats exactly what i do haha. I just listen to the episodes while i‘m driving
When that 80’s banger comes on at the beginner, you better believe I’m dancing at my desk
"We're lifting in the rain, man ... and no chalk" 🤣 Glad to see you both back at this!
Coelacanth enjoyer right here
such a chill video, the boys are back. the worms are out, its a good night.
Lifting weights in the rain and Zyn = living the fkking life 🔥🔥🔥💯
Love it. thank you!
I am watching the rain and those sweaty plates
Dozer is a beast
I play guitar while I watch yall lift it really is like chilling with the homies
Loving these animal features, also enjoying the thought of college-Zack trying to pull by doing an impression of my grandad.
Listened to this while I cleaned the washroom ✌🏽
Texas Truck Talk is a segment I can get around 👌
Dylan watching Bob does Sports?! Let's go! I was a competitive golfer so I'm all in on the YT Golf area. BDS is the mindless side of it, so good.
People need to understand how true what Dylan said is. If you give someone a program and they love/ are obsessed with training and the program is poop they can still progress even if they are advanced as long as there is some form of progression.
coelocanths are also the last of the lobe finned fishes, i got to look at some of their scales under a microscope this march in AK.
This is why I set up my gym in my garage so I can just open the garage door when it's raining and have the peaceful sound of rain little bit of music and the weights.
Currently listening to this on UA-cam walking to the gym
driveway video is the best
Excellent video. I thought, it's raining, they're not even going to lift. Nope. They lift. Now I want to try asmr rain lifting. Worms out lifting.
@zacktelander So, mentioning dialed animals, look into "carcinization." Term that's been around for 100 years about how there have been so many different ways that crabs have evolved convergently. Seeing this is making me want to build a lifting setup in my backyard.
"Are we evolving today?" "Nah" *remains unchanged for 400 milion years*
Thanks for the ASMR
@zacktelander love the lift companion! Less is more these style videos are the best the fancy productions are grand but this is by far superior more intimate and feels like wee know you guys personally 👍🏻
u guys are the best
I'm new here and lift companion rocks my socks
This is amazing, just some good fucking guy talk.
A few months ago I deadlifted outside during a big storm while it was pouring, actually surprisingly peaceful
Zach, twiggier than last time, presumably stronger than your average ostric.
I failed NNN when I saw this notification
Took me like 5mins to get the joke..... 💀
I think there should be a lift companion live stream so we can just be total bros talk about antlions in the chat while watching you two lift
My gym has a 25 kg squat bar. It's a thicc boy. To me the weight feels the same as a 20 kg bar when I squat with it. I love it.
No chalk, just rain.
No excuses, just improve.
“Worms are out.” 😂
Tardigrades also known as water bears are the toughest animal !! it can survive almost anywhere and survive up to 30 years without food
Next Dialed Animal of the Day needs to be the Pronghorn. Fastest land animal in the US and the longest migration pattern in the lower 48. Plus they’re the only horned animal to shed their horns, and they at one point outnumbered people in the state of Wyoming. Pretty badass
Please make a new Lift Companion shirt that says “Worms are Out” with a worm holding a barbell. I’ll send deposit asap.
I vote crabs for the next dialed animal. Scientists have found that at least 5 separate species have evolved to develop a similar body to a crab, suggesting that the crab's body is the pinnacle of evolution.

This is like watching a sodapoppin stream, maids casually walking around in the background 😂💀👌
Dialed animal suggestion is the immortal jellyfish. Until then, the worms are out.
Nobody tell Zack about the immortal jellyfish
All hail to the bloat lord!
The king of all dialed animals is the honey badger.
Dialled animal, mantis shrimp
My best friends in order are Zak, Dylan (sorry) and my cat. Although he's been dead for a year.
I think people are conflating "stretching" with "warming up"
This shit is inspiring. I want to do this...
Dylan learned the secret. Barely have a knee/knees? Squat! And bloatmaxx
Was 143 when I started bloatmaxing, 240 now
Piping beefs piping beef content 🤌
trying the worms are out line next time it rains in cali (probably never). will report back
Won’t getting the bar getting wet get damaged? I’m asking because my only way for the full lifts is to do them outside lol.
Bloatmaxxing is simply worth it for the food, until you're cruising Walmart at 6pm for 6 hour old rotisserie chicken to stay over 300
We need more of this. Talking nonsense and lifting weights.

@4:38 How tall is Dylan?
Every time I go to a public washroom and there's more than 2 ppl inside I like to unzip my fly to pee and yell "Worms are out"
