I’m loving the consistency and content of lift companion recently. The vibes you guys bring into the gym is fire, and seeing your full training sessions are exciting
This is so much better than the other video. Handheld cam is fine for when you guys are talking and then cutting to the fixed camera for the lifts is perfect.
Your discussion on adductors and the advantages/disadvantages of knee wraps, all excellent, and have made training points I have heard and witnessed in the past a lot more clear now. Your random discussions in these sessions result in occasional gems that will help someone in your audience. Keep up the good work!
As someone that has beat the drum the last few videos complaining about the camera work, my compliments this time. Much, much better. It's fine to mix in the close up stuff periodically, but the overwhelming majority being close, moving shots was annoying. And the banter with the cameraman was much better and felt less forced this time. It's good to remember Zack and Dylan are the stars but the occasional questions and such worked and flowed this time. Oh, and sweet clean cold (x2) my dude.
@@zacktelander That's awesome. Always working on your craft. :) I love this series. It's just so damn good. I click the link as soon as I get the notification. As a shitty CrossFitter that can't do Oly lifting for shit, I just love to listen and try to incorporate the knowledge you drop. And even if I don't learn anything (which I do) it's still entertaining as F.
hearing all the mobility talk made me really think about just how much oly lifting demands on my body. now i understand why my coach's warm up is so damn thorough, you really do need everything to be firing!
The training traps comment.... my physique was at its peak in my crossfit days and for a woman I have narly traps from the oly lifting. When I spent time in a regular gym I had no idea why people would stand there and do shrugs. 😅
What does doing the side to side steps on the belt squat work exactly? I’m so new to Olympic lifting so I’m still trying to figure out exactly how to structure my workouts now.
Looking for some advice. For someone who isn't a competitive weightlifter is it worth buying an expensive needle bearing bar or is something like a Rogue Training Bar sufficient? I'm looking for a WL specific bar. Currently I'm using a Rogue Ohio Bar. If it's worth spending the additional 💲 I'm ok saving a bit longer. Probably looking at the Rogue Boneyard since I have 2 from their already and their rejects are better than what most companies call first quality.
recently I started training with a WL barbell, I can tell you the difference. First of all they are thinner they 28mm diameter so they can isolate as well what is something important for the jerk when it gets heavy enough, they spin a loooot more they can get more momentum. But if you just do it for fun and not for lifting heavy for a competitive purpose you have no need to buy it
Had 3 bars so far, my next one is an Eleiko. Don't want to hate on any brands here, the main feature to look for besides spin is the springiness of the steel. That makes a big difference on hip contact regardless of weight. You want a steel that bends but springs back, stay away from power lifting bars and make sure you get a springy one. You can smack it with your hand and check out if it vibrates nicely.
The training bar is great, unless you're elite you can't tell a difference. It's a great bar, 28mm diameter, good knurling and spin, and as whippy as the $1500 eleiko I lift on
Shaky cam wasn't as bad this time, but I prefer the stationary camera angles when you're doing the lifts. Keep up the great work boys
Hard not to shake in the presence of greatness
agree. love this, but the stationary 1/2 camera hangouts and just blast are the purest form of lifting companion. where is the driveway zack?
I love the driveway
Shoutouts to Nico power cleaning 100kg cold twice. Absolute mad lad.
LMFAOOO
Impressed with the Calf raise to get it on the rack. I bet he has the biggest calves out of the 3 of them 😉👍
Seriously. I also like how they get him involved in the conversations.

Luv these types of videos! The method and mindset to a session.
One of the best weight lifting videos I have seen talking about all the little things that go into the sport
Best part of the day that intro music
The music is dope 🤘
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
i could fix my Split-Jerk by watching Dylan
Pretty sure I follow the lift companion episodes more closely than any TV show I've ever watched. Top tier content
the consistent content is very much appreciated.
Y’all’s content is not like any others and I love it

@zacktelander amazing how you take feedback. I also commented on the camera angles. This is much appreciated. Keep up your good work!
I love these videos keep them coming! Also the theme tune slaps
Thanks for the advise on CNS response and recovery it really got me thinking breaking up my sessions for optimal recovery 👍
This song in the beginning is so fire bro it gets me screaming in my car when grizzly is screaming 😂😂
I love this new gym guys 👍

Thank you for getting into weightlifting!!
I love this type of video so much as a weightlifter
Love these types of videos!
Great content! The average gym user doesn’t realize how hard weightlifting is and how hard you need to push yourself to even be a mid level lifter.
Yes/no machine, immensely underrated.
These vids are making me wanna weightlift
Love your content pls 🙏🙏 never stop 🥰
Best intro music of all time
These videos are my preworkout
Dylan is the man! puts up a lot
2:52 impressive arms
We love a lift companion
The loft companions somehow become something I really look forward to. Didn’t gaf about Olympic weightlifting before this…😂

Closing thoughts on point
New to the channel, have already learned so much, no hate, it looks like Dylan never stands up 308. Am I crazy?
308 what?
Zack, Barbell Side Lunges will give you all you need in your Hip Adductors. Probably the greatest lift for the legs that most will never do...
What does doing the side to side steps on the belt squat work exactly? I’m so new to Olympic lifting so I’m still trying to figure out exactly how to structure my workouts now.
Hip activation and especially glute mid which is asleep in 99% of the population
would love to get a training session in one day
Did he leave cal strength due to injury?
The boys are back 🐶
Are you on the vertical diet?
These are great! Any reason you're not training at Stonehedge?

get a regular olympic training bar, don't need a comp spec barbell for general training

beats the hell out of an Ohio bar for weightlifting
You mentioned rehab briefly, and I was wondering if you have any advice on how to train while healing from a muscle strain. Thanks !
When your Gallbladder is warm… bars get bent! Remember that kids!
I NEED the intro song. PLEASE
When should I consider using knee sleeves for the first time?
Good session
Where can I buy the Lifting Companion theme to play on my way to the gym?
I really wanted to pay attention, but with Maddy out there lifting in the back... Guess my split jerk is not going to improve much haha
3:33 Clarence???
Camera man strong AF
What do you mean 'until you feel warm'? I thought that that was like a metaphor to just mean you have to do it a few times to loosen up a bit.
😂 Zack wants an uber driven by Mr Meeseeks
18:46 is my kind of energy 😂
Any reason Dijon wears his belt so low?
Mustard
Is tripling 160 a pr??? Did not see that coming
It was 140
@@marcusbaxby6798 okay thanks. Not sure why I mixed it up
Anyone know the name of the song from the intro?
I wanna know, i neeeeeed to know!!
I really need help with my jerk. After 115kg I push the bar away from me. I got the strength to do
Way more than I am now.
Based and Telander pilled
Numbers were off at a few points in the video
Why do y’all rerack the jerk in the front instead of the back?
24:07 that should be 140/308 tho
lock the doors
LETS GO
Nico flores doing work 👍🏻
Didn't know eleiko did fake weights too. The camera man is racking your 100kg with ease and all, twice.
No correction, no direction
LOCK THE DOORS
How many days in a row can you squat 200... I think squat everyday guy is on 24 days... And still improving WTF
🏋
For the algo gainz
you are always w/ a hat. use to the gym to attach the microphone. ❤
Anyone else get motion sick during the last 2 vids?
yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayaya
Chicken legs and yet so strong.. how is it possible?
Is there a leg preference when doing the jerk?
I still cant figure out which one feels better if L or R 🥲
