Indian and US troops have been training together near the Himalayas since November 19, 2022, as part of an annual joint military exercise. This year’s drills are taking place only about 100km (62 miles) from the disputed China-India border known as the Line of Actual Control.

American soldiers needed this high-altitude training. Thank you India for hosting us.
Yup we know that, we have seen NATO struggle in Pamir plateau & Hindukush hill area bcs America has 5000-6000 mtr mountains. Himalayas & Karakoram mountain with 8000 mtr accustomed will make it easy in lower heights. That's why british Gurkha army r so efficient warriors bcs they are born & brought up in Himalayas.
It's like training in higher gravity makes it easier in normal gravity. Adjustment to lower oxygen levels of Himalayas increase the stamina in high oxygen levels in plateau & plain land.
US troops needs to learn a lot of new techniques.

High altitude is no joke. Having some experience backpacking above 10,000 ft, I gotta say it’s about the last place I’d want to have to fight somebody.
This is also not counting the temperature and logistic issues that exist in these high altitudes, but yet again this is why mountains create great warriors!
I once went for a morning run in Lhasa, Tibet while on vacation. My lungs were ripped to shreds within fifteen minutes.
It’s also why USA lost in Afghanistan 😂

Ah, the fresh, clean mountain air. A great place for exercise.
17000 ft or more altitude, where oxygen is so low you normally would gasp for breath while you would carry 30 kg or more weight while wearing 10 kg gear and fighting enemy dodging bullets by sprinting also scaling steep 90 degree climb while the enemy hurls grenades and shoots at you. Not to mention assaults on enemy bunker uphill while assisted by artillery fire hitting just 50 meters ahead of you. You got to give these people some medal.

China has been conducting bilateral exercises with Pakistan in disputed pakistan occupied Kashmir for years. Atleast Indians are not conducting those drills in disputed region. China has no right to say anything on what India do inside its territorial boundaries.
