@@Reject101Personal Perhaps people don't know about his music career before Nightmare... He basically wrote the script. Wrote all the songs before they had a story, all based on how he as lead band member was feeling empty and looking for something more. Just like Jack I think he found his something more, he's been involved in so many projects. Such a magical human. ✨️ I just get so happy everythime we look up the composer for a Movie or Show and his name pops up !! Happy Halloween 🎃

Those classic Danny Elfman faces are making me want to cry. It's almost like he hasn't changed as a performer since Oingo Boingo split 😭 you can tell he still enjoys singing for people. I hope he doesn't retire before I can see him live. All of his music makes me emotional, and- Oingo Boingo is part of what got me through rehab as a teenager.

It’s been almost 30 years since this film has been released and he still sounds like “the original!” ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!
I saw the movie in the theater and fell in love with it. Every October and December I put this movie on.

I fell in love with Oingo Boingo as a kid back in 1981 with their first album Only a Lad.

Growing up in San Diego then Oingo was huge.
But I understand they weren't like that in most of the country.
Just dead mans party and weird science ever got air play.
Plus Danny never really acted like a rock star. I don't recall him ever being in the news for anything sensational or negative. Always came off as a cool humble guy in interviews. Then he sorta vanished by dedicating himself to working his ass off in his studio writing amazing movie soundtracks.
I consider him a musical genius. Maybe that's better than rock star.

I absolutely love seeing Danny Elfman doing these live shows. I don’t know what it is but he always seems so at home on a stage. Is it because it reminds him of his Oingo Boingo days? Who can say. I’m just thrilled to see him having fun and being amongst his fans. As one of your fans Mr. Elfman, this was an absolutely incredible performance. Much love and peace be with you.
He's going incredible charisma on stage. It's clear he loves what he's doing and loves his audience.
I came here after watching an interview he recently did in 2023. He mentions after he began working on the score for The Nightmare Before Christmas how his heart wasn't with the band anymore but he felt obligated to keep playing with them since he was the composer and lead singer. Based on that fact alone I'm going to say he just purely enjoys performing, has nothing to do with his Oingo Boingo days..
He still sings so effortlessly. Every year I rewatch Nightmare B4 Xmas and it's always good! So much talent here!

He is so amazing, he wrote all these songs before they even had a story for the movie. Based it on his exact feelings as part of a very successful band, wanted more and my God did he get to do it. He is an amazing composer. Look up some of the projects he's worked on... It's vast !

AAH!!! As a proffessional singer I admire Danny so so so SOOOO much. One of my biggest inspirations in my entire life. For SURE. He still has those high, AND low notes perfectly, as well as great support, inflection, and very little strain as well as some great vocal technique. I aim to be able to perform like that at his age some day too. I hope I can give him a hug one day:’)

Wow. The thing that I don't understand is why Nightmare Before Christmas was never a Broadway Musical. I would make the trip and would be in costume in the audience as well as most of the audience. It really doesn't make sense.
