Dear Franziska, there are some good things in your demonstration, but I will allow myself two remarks: although it is for debutant, the movement is too decomposed, the Degage should not arrive in extension in the Diagonal, because it is 'Melted' in the Quarter of Rond-de-Jambe: the change of Diagonal is excellent, but there is no "Cinquieme". The Left Foot Slips by the First passage to reach the extension in the new Diagonal, the Right Leg will be in "Pointe" in Arabesque. The Pas-de-Basque can stop there, or end with a Cinquieme, closing the Right Foot behind, to chain another Pas-de-Basque, towards the Left (for example). I would like to sign that when you close in Cinquime Position, it is no longer a "Glissade", but a "Temps-Lie". I hope you will take advantage of the advice. Most cordially.
I had to do this tonight for the first time. Funny because I saw your video the other day on this and thought, I don’t need this right now. Boy was I wrong lol As always, thank you! 🥰
I’m back here again! We had it again as part of a long allegro and I had a meltdown and teared up because I’m not getting it all. It’s my fourth class after moving up and my brain is just misfiring. Overwhelmed.
Plus they do it differently. It’s the same for the first part but it’s more like a rond de jambe then a coupe then a sous sus. Frustrated and confused. Instead of looking forward to class I’m dreading it.
@@marianne3024 I am sorry to hear you are feeling this way. Pas de basque can be done in different dynamics so it will look different in a tendu, adage, and allegro combination. You are still new in your higher-level class. Give yourself some credit and allow time until you are able to perform the fast and complex movements. I hope you have a supportive teacher and fellow students.
Herbert's like "that's enough without me, Mommy. Pick me up!" I love his little vocalizations. XOXO
Great tutorial! Thank you, Franziska!
Great break down of the steps. Very helpful! 👍 👍 👍
Thank you, I am happy this video helps you.
Grande pas de basque is one of my all time favorite steps. I love to make it BIG. It must suit my body type because I just love it.
