I really love this car man. It’s like his best friend! He could drink a beer have his wife sit in the drivers seat just to listen to the motor idle. The motor idle will solve all problems here. Great car!
Making me miss my 83! It was my first car, bought it for $500. It was a black non-SS with brown interior. Body was solid but the engine was blown up. My dad and I built up a 350 from a suburban with a choppy cam and some double hump heads and dropped it in. First time we drove it we realized the P/O had rebuilt the th350 with a shift kit and had put in a posi rear. That car made me so happy, wish I still had it. Now I have a poor 85 that's been torn apart under a tarp waiting for a frame off for the last 7 years.

Awesome. Did your Dad ever put an exhaust system on it ? I just did 454 in my 85 SS and putting in a Pypes 3" X pipe system in . Im gonna miss the Chop of the open headers but im sure my neighbors wont
No we haven’t got the official exhaust yet but we have a 18 inch pipe with a Super 10 flow master muffler coming off the collector of the header! It sounds really good right now how it is but we are hoping to get the exhaust sometime in the spring.

Especially when there's a big fat camshaft in the engine. The rough, lumpy idle sounds fantastic.
