Nah just second wave black metal without music behind him. Hard to say if he failed when the audio quality is like that and he's laughing trough it, but you defiantly need to see the whole package to appreciate it, just vocals and out fit won't work. Especially not in a TV show like that :').
I don't have an issue with the vocal style, it's just clear to me by the way he kind of gave up at the end that he was doing something wrong. Either he's inexperienced, or he's straining his vocal chords, which can be damaging. Not saying it can't be done without hurting your voice, it very much can, but I don't think that was the case with this particular contestant.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. The way he does it he indeed doesn't seem to be able to do it for a long time, and I think his vocal chords are not ending well this way too. It's just that many people don't seem to realize bands like Mayhem, Satanic Warmaster and Celestial Bloodshed are a thing too, and that black metal uses higher shrieks more often than low growls, and think they are just horribly failing the deep growls we hear often in death metal. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if many black metal bands killed there vocal chords but didn't care back then. They did more reckless things after all. But it indeed CAN be done without hurting your voice.

I disagree; it just reeks of desperation to me. Riding his own fucking band's curtails to stay famous or maybe just in that era where his band got somewhere, just like they did when they were an actual four piece and pete wentz took them under his wing and gave them the scraps from HIS band, it's just sad. Like fuck man, fucking respect yourself and ditch the band's name; it's not a band anymore; everyone is gone but you. He's like some sad drunk at a party bemoaning the fact that he's fucking single now, two steps away from drunk dialing the ex and try to get back together because he's not ready to let them go yet.

First time I've ever heard of Blood on the Dance floor is when Angry Joe put their music video in his DMC review and I'm still unsure if that music video was actually in the game
NO WAY! Same here as well! I actually purchased DmC before watching or reading any reviews at all and I have to say that Angry Joe gives a very good description of what I would say about it. The gameplay is smooth, the action and soundtrack are both awesome, but it does have a HUGE difficulty decrease and I just manage to look past Ninja's terrible characterization changes. Also if you recall from his review, he typed "DRAMATIZATION" on the Blood on the Dance Floor clip and from another person who owns the game, I am happy to report that no such music exists within its soundtrack - ua-cam.com/video/idnUvBEXD_I/v-deo.html
