I don't about you Birdman. But at 8:06. But I really hope Marvel And Disney stop cowering in the corner over COVID (It won't kill anyone below age 80 for heaven's sake). And Get around to releasing all those MCU Projects they had in store last year. Just so they can finally include The X-Men In The MCU (Would really love to see an MCU version of the team consisting of the Original X-Men, Ice-Man, Angel, Cyclops, Jean Grey, And Beast). And give a more cohesive X-Men series of films that aren't overally dark and do embrace the more supernatural elements of the comics. As well as giving more mutants that aren't freaking Wolverine the spotlight.
I’ve no idea if this was actually sinned, but Mystique’s X-Women speech definitely deserved a legitimate sin. She said the girls did everything, even though Cyclops repositioned the shuttle andKurt transported over there with Quicksilver, which was how the astronauts were retrieved. Mystique herself was the only superfluous member of the rescue mission. The movie should have had Scott lead the team, as is his traditional role.
I disagree with scott being the leader since they build up raven being the leader in apocalipse. raven should be the leader in this continuity. I just wish she actually did stuff.
Qualquer gamer I’m sure fans are frustrated that after the very poor treatment of Scott in the original trilogy (his one thing is that he’s in a love triangle with Jean and Logan), and so to see him be reduced to always talking about Jean in Dark Phoenix must be just as bad. He even wastes the film’s F-bomb sounding like a petulant teen when previous films have used it to much greater effect (Wolverine in First Class for example)
Qualquer gamer I disagree. Sure, you can have her teaching the team, but she should serve more of a mentor role. Heck, that’s basically the role she assumed at the end of Apocalypse: Teaching the next generation.
Give FoundFlix a shot, maybe. Solid channel, and they do the type of 'Ending Explained' videos that literally just explain the entire plot and then do a quick review at the end.
Don't you just love how even when sinning bad movies, Jeremy still only manages to come up with just one or two legitimate sins and the rest are just cringy "jokes" and failing to pay attention?
Cinemasins logic: If somebody is narrating, it means they’re alive at the end. Do they HONESTLY believe that every time somebody is narrating, it means they’re actually TELLING us the story?
that is kinda what narration is, someone telling the story. doesn't mean they have to be alive or even a character, but still... yes, narration is someone telling the story
Qualquer gamer I think what I meant was that Jeremy thinks this is what happens EVERY time there is narration, when there many cases where Thats not the case.
There are a bunch of superhero movies that are a lot worse: Wonder Woman (1974), Captain America (1990), Nick Fury: Agent of Shield (1998), Elektra, Catwoman, Batman and Robin, Batman Forever, Fantastic Four (1994), Superman 4: The Quest for Peace etc. Basically any superhero movie prior to 2000 that wasn't the Tim Burton Batman and Richard Donner Superman movies. Which is weird, because if you can find the superhero serials from the 30s and 40s, which were made on microscopic budgets and with primitive special effects, those are actually pretty good. Batman, Captain Marvel, Superman, and Captain America all have pretty good Saturday morning serials from that era, mostly because they treated the characters seriously and the stories played as light adventures than deliberate camp, which is really hard to do well. The Batman series in the 60s and Wonder Woman in the 70s both did camp well, which sent the message that this was how you do superheroes, and it took Hollywood decades to move past this idea. Basically, it took the first X-Men movie to show Hollywood that taking superheroes seriously can make for good stories. I think Dark Phoenix is perceived as being much worse than it is because modern standards are much higher than before the millennium.
So I remember in First Class that Mystique was told that her mutant abilities to shapeshift actually cause her to age slower as a result, explaining why she can remain young throughout the movies. So either the writers forgot that Mystique is the only one who should still look young, or there's a hidden story in this arc that the X-Men synthesized a longevity serum based on her genome. Or (the most obvious) the studio didn't want to hire newer actors with every time skip, and we're just supposed to accept that.
Well that's why Beast also looks young. The serum he made in First Class from Raven's blood caused him to age slower, but there's no excuse for everyone else.
Well, the MCU is handling Spider-Man far better than Sony are, since from what I understand, films like Raimi's Spidey 3 and Venom had polarising responses among many. Sure, I hear great things about Into the Spider-Verse, but still. Wouldn't be surprised if Morbius gets a polarising response too when it finally comes.
It always makes me laugh when people bring up Into The Spider-Verse when I shit on Sony's Spodermun movies. It's almost like we're talking about live action movies or something... Make all the cartoons you want. Live action is not Sony's forte. They got lucky with Spider-Man 2, as that's the only great film from them. The first Spider-Man movie was decent in its time, but it has aged horribly, and after seeing what Marvel was able to do with the character's lore, costume, personality and abilities, it really makes it look bad. Go on, rewatch it if you don't believe me. This is coming from a far bigger Spider-Man fan than anyone you know, and a fan of the original movie.
The actual continuity issue at the end is Charles retiring at the end, kinda in disgrace, yet still being in charge at the end of DOFP. The events of this movie make it seem like there's no way he'd come back. Jean on the other hand actually had a way to be back at the school. Edit: Grammar

Fun fact about this movie the stunt double for Jean when she rolls of the roof earlier in the movie had to be switched since during one of the take she rolled her leg in the wrong position. So they switched her for a guy with a wig on. Keep up the videos man.
5:12 Also, Charles hopping from mind to mind looking for someone with the knowledge he needs would take time. It’s easier to get the information volunteered than it is to go searching for it.
it feels like they were trying to do a justice league moment (when the recently revived superman could track the flash in his bullet time) and it just looked sloppy and was used as an excuse to take him out of the fight tbh
10:48 Minor Nitpick, but Mystique is controlling the cells in her body, not the atoms. And yes technically by moving around cells she's also moving around the atoms those cells are comprised of, but Jeremy specifically says "She's controlling all the atoms in her body", which is incorrect.

If my parents even try, I come at them with technical-sounding jargon and force them to reconsider-this applies to every type of “lesson,” effectively turning declarations of grounding me for weeks into mere hours before they relent. One of the things I like about the Birdman is that he doesn't just go after Cinema Sins when he sins good movies. Dark Phoenix, the Star Wars sequels, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, etc. Even bad movies, he's willing to going up to bat for, possibly out of a realization that a bad point is a bad point even if lobbed at a good target. That's commendable.

Love your sense of humor lol, Thanks for the hard work you put in bro.
Fun fact about this movie the stunt double for Jean when she rolls of the roof earlier in the movie had to be switched since during one of the take she rolled her leg in the wrong position. So they switched her for a guy with a wig on. Keep up the videos man.
you have no idea how badly i wanted a channel like this. finally i found you. make video of cinemasin of marvel movies please.
I WATCHED this movie in THEATERS. I deserve compensation for damages.
MJF so did I. Think I fell asleep after Raven died 😅
Th3Birdman I totally forgot she died right after watching the movie.
Let it be known that I still haven't seen Dark Phoenix
The lord has blessed you this day
Pretty sure no one did.
@@seanibarra-loredo7290 I didn't either...personally wasn't interested
Lol I had never fully sat through one X-men movie and this one was the first. I thought I was good, which it is, up until the third act
@@Evets_03 OOF
The mannequin arms get me every time.
The Justin Timberlake reaction with the price is right music was gold
Magneto can manipulate non-ferrous matter, such as wood and rocks, and he can put you to sleep with his mind
5:12 Also, Charles hopping from mind to mind looking for someone with the knowledge he needs would take time. It’s easier to get the information volunteered than it is to go searching for it.
I think Jean Grey reacting to Quicksilver in super speed mode is a sin. Anyone else think the same?
They pulled this stuff in Apocalypse too.
Probably because someone who has reaction times far superioŕ to everyone else would be OP.
@@alexandererhard2516 yeah but atleast apocalypse has a reason he could have some limited amount of super speed
it feels like they were trying to do a justice league moment (when the recently revived superman could track the flash in his bullet time) and it just looked sloppy and was used as an excuse to take him out of the fight tbh
This is something she was always capable of doing in the comics.
10:48 Minor Nitpick, but Mystique is controlling the cells in her body, not the atoms. And yes technically by moving around cells she's also moving around the atoms those cells are comprised of, but Jeremy specifically says "She's controlling all the atoms in her body", which is incorrect.
Im a comic fan, its one reason i love watching you. The books do matter!
I’ll admit the “That’s so Raven” joke got me
A very fantastic installment I can't wait to see!
Trust me
... Birdman is spot on about Xaviers not being called "Zavier"
...STOP IT. Stop it.
Lol it's like nigga no. Go sit in the corner.
@@Th3Birdman yeah man...
I've been correcting folks since kindergarten...lol
This is why the books f*cking matter
He’s called Professor X for a reason
@Deadpool What are you on about
I actually found that GOT reference funny, still not a sin, but funny.
One of the things I hated the most was how they look to have made Magneto more weaker like he was ripping metal out of the Earth but only tried to kill Jane with a Bannister.
I know I'm late, but I love the commentary from you as a comic fan! Really informative :)
Seeing the difference between your subs, and "c.s." just shows the difference in the self motivation in educated individuals to sheeple....the ratio is cring
I'd say 75% of the world's population is borderline retarded.
@@stpbasss3773 if that were the case we'd have technology on the same level as the middle ages, but if the point is that the world has a lot of idiots that contribute nothing to society then I fully agree.
@@stpbasss3773 I agree

"What would CinemaSins do?" Pmsl loved that
Jeremy: who Df called the cops
Th3birdman: This bitch
bird love you bruh 😂😂😂
I at least know a little bit about the Phoenix force from the comics
The real sin here is how you only have over 120,000 Subscribers as mentioned in 15:52
Me when Th3Birdman says mutants will join the MCU: Dont, Dont give me hope
They are tho
It wasn't confirmed though was it?
@@23yits6 Disney's buyout of Fox might wanna have a word with you
Ironic that FOXs last X-Men movie starts with the studio logo burning down
Now th3birdman has over 145k what a beast
Endorsement of a harsh childhood “lesson” in the first two minutes. Wow.
I couldn’t even comment on the great radio joke before this bit of overstatement hit me in the ears.
As a generation alpha, I never take kindly to those lessons. If my parents even try, I come at them with technical-sounding jargon and force them to reconsider-this applies to every type of “lesson,” effectively turning declarations of grounding me for weeks into mere hours before they relent. (Kids, do not try this at home unless you are absolutely confident in your persuasion skills. As one of the biggest logic nerds in my community, I have studied more about this than most adults. Even at this age, I am a qualified professional who knows exactly how to talk through my parents; you, most likely, are not.)
5:33 I'd like to add that she can control solar storms as well.
Missed nitpick: the space shuttle Enterprise never went into space; Columbia (RIP) was the first space shuttle to go into space. Enterprise was the test vehicle and she was launched from the back of a 747.
Luna the dog is a Golden Retriever which is literally the blonde white woman of dogs so yeah Dabari DID change into something with "free reign on earth" hahahah
why the hell is Jeremy surprised that Jean survives this movie when her superhero name is Dark Phoenix, "Phoenix" their whole thing is not staying dead
Man, it's been a while since I heard some Freezepop. Good stuff.
8:47 And this is also the guy who was wondering why Xavier didn’t just read someone’s mind at NASA.
I’m so fucking happy you said English not British. THEY ARE DIFFERENT THINGS AND MOST AMERICANS DONT GET IT ITS LIKE CALLING A CANADIAN AN AMERICAN
Three things:
1. Jeremy should never sing again
2. Jeremy should never sin comic book movies again.
3. It’s how I was watching the Deadpool 2 video yesterday and you put out a video on another x men film
I have to admit... "i can lift choppers better than you" was kinda funny.
9:34 Even after his death, Matt ended up having issues with his father as shown with Daredevil Season 3, specifically the whole “keeping my mother secret from me” and “getting yourself killed to make sure your child didn’t think you were a loser”.
Unpopular opinion... X men 3 was a better adaptation of the dark phoenix storyline than the dark phoenix movie
"YOUR ENTANGLEMENTS WITH YOUR LEFT HAND.." IS A GOD SEND OF A JOKE..👏👏👏
2:00 I'm hoping this is a hint that his next video will be Transforners related 😀
I think he’s talking about the animated film, Sing
@@bullwinkle524 Dang 😥😥😥😥😥😥
12:37 Jeremy apparently doesn't know what steel toe boots are either
5:44 Uhhhhh yes. I ABSOLUTELY needed to know this! Lol. Its important information, as it explains quite a lot about his character!
Also, 8:08 yeeeeeah that'll NEVER happen lol. But I uh...I know a guy that could arrange the 'cold, dead hands' situation you're looking for.
I'm watching a Th3Birdman video the other day and it seemed off then I realized it was an EWW video... then I realized that I genuinely forgot the channel existed outside of Th3Birdman.... keep up the good work
what? you pointing out that you have 120k made me realize you ONLY have 120k subs. what the fuck, you should be like at least 10 times that. I've listened to your videos while falling asleep more times that I can remember.
you're awesome birdman
Free day
Popcorn
Birdman uploads.
Perfect day
One if the things I really missed in this movie, though not that important, is Phoenix's hair. It's supposed to be an orange color and when she uses her powers it's supposed catch flames, but in this movie it just looked like cigarette smoke or some shit.
4:10 tbf, we did saw former us presidents or heard from them in previous movies, like DOFP
Well if Marvel Studios really does get Venom, Spider-Man and company back, let’s hope they grow balls and allow R Rated movies within the main line MCU. I mean who wants a PG-13 “Kraven’s Last Hunt” or Carnage?
Oh and they need to keep The Spider-Verse series intact.
I agree. My hope is that they recognize the need for Deadpool to be rated R (OK, maybe not NEED, but the audience's want). If Disney can get a rated R DP3, we're in the game.
Th3Birdman Yeah plus a R Rated movie or Hulu miniseries to establish the MCU James Howlett would be cool too.
It might not have been a sin, but That’s So Raven joked slapped 😂😂😂
I love that channels like yours and CinemaWins exist. CinemaSins literally tries so hard to be funny and make their points that it falls flat a lot. At least you pointed out their horrible tendencies
Thank you for your channel. I was literally watching cinema sins before I stumbled upon you
