Like the Comparison of the Turf Tiger and the Cheetah. A bunch of good information. Have a grass cutting business and bought a Cheetah a few years ago. Has been quite the workhorse. No issues with working it to death. Looked at the Turf Tiger and definitely heavy duty. Liked the drive shaft addition. Went with the Cheetah due to the couple thousand dollar difference. Have not regretted it so far. I have 2 zero turns and 6 walk behinds that are all Scag. By far the best commercial mower I have owned with my business. Again, nice comparison.
I have a 2004 turf tiger. These things really are built tough. Since the fuel tank is under the seat, it gives great weight distrubution down low for mowing hill sides. If you keep up with maintenance, these things are damn near bulletproof. One downside I found with the driveshaft is, tall grass can get wrapped around the driveshaft if mowing too quickly. Im talking like 2-4ft high grass. The newer Turf Tigers may have shields to prevent this from happening. If you are not sure which to get, ask yourself, "What kind of property am I mowing?" If its overgrown fields and hills, Turf Tiger wins. If its flatter open grass fields, Cheetah wins.
Thanks Scag is what I own now I've had it for Nine years going to upgrade this year. I wish you would remake that video I can't hear what your saying. Thanks
Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
I am a huge TT fan, but the truth is- the shaft drive is not a true shaft drive. It is run off two small belts at the rear of the engine that drop down from the crankshaft pulley to the rear of the driveshaft. They can slip just like any belt drive system can.
WHAT ABOUT THE PTO OGURA CLUTCH DIFFERENCES ? SCAG USES 2 TYPES BASED ON MODEL AND HORSEPOWER .I HAVE THE TURF TIGER WITH 61V DECK AND BRIGGS 40 HP VANGUARD AND THE OGURA GT 5 CLUCH RATED AT 350 FT LBS
That vanguard engine has a huge problem with oil filter backing out just saying if you buy one keep a eye on it. I will say that foot brake is a waste should just be a pull brake but good cutting mower
Why would you put an engine other than Kawasaki or Kubota on a machine???? Kohler and Briggs have a long history of poorly engineered disposable consumer grade junk.
@@ozarkliving7263 The Vanguard engine is made in Japan by Dihatsu which is owned by Toyota. The Kawi engine is assembled in the US out of Chinese parts. The Kawi's drink oil. My Vanguard won't burn a drop. I've owned both. Never a issue with the oil filter backing out here.
Will you buy new or used. I see a guy selling a Cheetah for $7900 with 430 hours on it that's a 2021 I'm half tempted to get it. I only do a Farm with a couple acres or so, but I'm trying to cut down on cutting time.
I really appreciate your videos. But the audio on this one was almost unbearable. Not trying to be mean. Just pointing out that the audio left something to be desired. I'm shopping for a better mower. Thanks for sharing. Might try a finish mower on my little 2601 this season.
Y .r .u .not selling the mower I have work my ..... Off for that mower saved a very long time and you have discontinued the sal a had to by some else I fell like trader (gravedigger)
Tough question, I personally think the Kubota diesel ZD1211 series is an amazing machine, and the Z400 series is great bang for the buck for a gas machine. SCAG makes some of the best commercial gas mowers in the market though, and the SCAG Velocity deck is unbeatable. So, it all comes down to your price range, gas vs. diesel and small options. Without comparing 2 direct models, I won't say one is better than the other.

If you really won't the best then try the new Husqvarna Z560ZS or Z572XS with the 38.5 hp. Kawasaki, you won't regret it.

The fact you're still using a model from 2004 says alot about their durability and build quality that's awesome
Why not both? 🤷🏻♂️
Nice comparison.
Thanks for the video would you remake it so we can hear what is being said. Thanks
good day where can i buy one of the Scag cheeter2

What about this vs a John Deere 900 series?
What do you recommend for tire pressure on the turf tiger?
Between 10-14 PSI, depending on conditions.

Kubota zd1211 is a true shaft drive.
Which Lynchburg is that? Couldn't tell by the voice accents.
We are in Lynchburg, Virginia!
It's Pete from Dunnder Mifflin

How can the filter "back out" if it's spun on tight?

We apologize for the quality on this one! We didn't have a dual mic at the time this was filmed, but we now have one for future videos with guests!

Absolutely nothing weak or bad about belts, the shaft is there so the deck has greater hight adjustability , also tiger hangs on slopes better
Another video where you can't hear anything that is being said.

I can hear perfectly fine. Maybe start wearing your PPE ear protection while mowing
Aside from the road noise, I heard everything just fine.
