Dumb question: trying to understand if this is correct: any hunting weapon, archery or rifle, they shoot straight already but the scope must be set to tell you where the weapon is firing. Right? Basically you want the scope to snitch?
That is one way to put it. Basically the projectile comes out of the xbow or gun the same way and you are adjusting the scope so the scope is looking at the spot where the bullet or arrow hits.
I love the laser bore sight for the crossbow because arrows are not cheap so if I spend a little on laser bore sight that saves me a lot of money in the long run because I am not losing or damaging arrows..... Great video thank you
Great video :) my 1st crossbow in coming in the mail any day now! In the field I use “flags” and set up a circular area from my stand. Different colors for different distances. Less movement from me having to use a range finder.
I keep trying to sight my crossbow in with a laser bore sight at 25 yards and when I set it to the reticle it changes and goes off from where I had it set at. I don't even have to fire the crossbow any idea what could be causing this??

I have a titan bore sight and I’m having trouble at 20 yards using the top cross hair and it shoots to the right every time even though it’s on the bull what is going on is there something wrong with the bow
@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I'm sighting in a crossbow for the first time. I leveled the scope with the crossbow...which made me think...should the crossbow be level when sighting it in? It seems that would be important for the arrow drop...otherwise, if you are aiming up or down when sighting it in, that would throw off the adjustment needed for arrow drop. I hope I'm making sense. I've watched several videos, and none seem to cover this...they go straight to adjusting the scope. Maybe I'm overthinking it? Thanks.
Well, ideally you hold it pretty level when sighting in and shooting game. But I know what you're saying, again I think we just need to try and hold as close to level as we can.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors Yes, I just figured it could be mounted in a gun rest/vice and leveled fairly easy for sighting it in...rather than just eyeballing it. One less thing for error. (But I do recall seeing a comment somewhere saying those angles at 20 yards don't make a big difference...so maybe it's overkill.)

Two, three shots tops is all you need. You can take a shot from a fixed position and then look through the scope while adjusting and put the crosshair over the bolt, re aim at bullseye next shot usually dead on.
When purchased a crossbow and target, I had also purchased a range finder so when I go out to the hills I’ll set the range finder to the distance I want then set up the table and start practicing

You can do it like a rifle. Lock it in a vise and adjust the scope to point of impact. Three shots at the most.

Well the bore sight is only to get you in the ball park. After that you will need to make adjustments to the scope to get it dialed in.

For £15 you can just buy a Archery Laser Sighting Tool Crossbow / Bow Arrow Sight Bore Sighter Bore Sight. And be done with the long maths

Yes, that works. Just need to keep the crossbow perfectly steady from the shot all the way through to making the adjustments.
