    I’ve been composing music for 20+ years and I just learned more about mixing in 20 minutes than any video or book I’ve ever perused. This was so easy to digest. Thank you.

    I’m still in question tho bro, you having to go in submix, bring the fader of the sounds down still, just for it to show differently on the master bus, I use a way of going into the program edit and turning down the levels of the sounds there that better show on the master bus, but it is a bit of going bk n forth, but it works for me, but mixing on the mpc standalone, that’s the only thing I feel is a flaw

    What about lowering the sounds from the level knob in program edit and not using a limiter on the individual sounds that’s clipping like the kick and snare? Couldn’t you just lower the kick to -9 db and every other sound with the level in program edit?

    • @simonpettersson6788
      @simonpettersson6788 4 місяці тому

      Clipping it with a limiter will reduce its volume and at the same time make it snappier to still be able to cut through the mix.

    The meters on the MPC are not professional VU meters. They don’t measure the actual pressure of the sound. You must purchase actual pressure reading VU meters in order to be real world accurate

    I don't understand why you do this. there is a limiter hidden in the mpc. you kill the sound of the mpc not to go above zero on the master. mpc is different from a daw. Listen the original beat of dark knight gummo made on the mpc by honorable c note on youtube. Dowload the beat and listen. He uses mpc

    • @JaeFreshmen
      @JaeFreshmen  7 місяців тому

      can you share any videos on this explanation?

    • @Vivre-os3ht
      @Vivre-os3ht 7 місяців тому +1

      @@JaeFreshmen It’s clear, brother, that there is a limiter in the MPC. Bolo said it for example. If you exceed zero on the master. when you export you will always be below zero (all formats exept stems) Do your mixing but the -9 db thing for the kick is bullshit. no industry guy on fl does that. the new mpc have sound. in the drum program set the filter to low 4 for all elements and you are good to go. Akai has thought of everything. you even have the tntxd video on the akai channel who was really shocked that his beat sounded good without any processing. on mpc you have to beat up the master track. chopsquad beats her up when he's on mpc. look at all the akai demo projects in your mpc. they are all above zero. it's for a reason 🤷. here is a link where people are talking about it
