@malobeats after spending more time with it, I’ve found that a more accurate way to do it is after you lock in the pitch/tempo of your samples chops, do a resample of the sequence at the new pitch/tempo and then just check the key detection of the new sample. Then you’ve got the new key and you can start adding bass lines/melodies in the new key. You can purge the resample after that, since it was only used for the key detection

@ Malo maybe it's a stupid question, but with the Warp turned on, does the MPC still detect the right Key of the sample? in your video it looked like, it didn't change the detected key, while you put up the tempo of the sequence...

Resolving MIDI Issues with AKAI MPC ONE PLUS and External Synthesizers After OS Update Greetings from Spain, After updating my AKAI MPC ONE PLUS to the MPC 3 operating system, I encountered MIDI issues. For the Cobalt 8X, the solution was to delete and recreate the problematic MIDI track, as the instruments changed when PLAY was activated. With the Nord Wave 2, while preset selection via MIDI is respected, the volume resets to the original at each song start from the AKAI. Devices like the Waldorf Streichfett and two Arturia controllers only needed channel reconfiguration. Once reconfigured and saved, the system creates a copy of the file ending in "_Import". Great video. I still have a few questions. So wasn't this what Warp originally did in 2.0? Timestretch without altering pitch? Is this just a better sounding algorithm? Also, if I use this feature will it still tell me the new key of the sample once i change the pitch? Thank you goat
Great question, yes, the warping algorithm in standalone is horrible unless you’re using it in the doll. It sounds pretty good but now that they introduce this re-pitch warping algorithm. It sounds perfect, of course knowing that your samples are going to change pitch. And yes, you still will have an updated representation of the key.
