Mate…..that is a hell of a lot of work for one day and quality maintained too. Bravo sir.
Thanks for the support as always mate
Great work tom, love watching your videos , the way you put your customers first you deserve a medal mate.
Thanks for the support as always John
Nice work👌, I'm glad you didn't have all the other trades in there with you, nothing worse than a house full when your under pressure and got all your gear spread out on a first fix
It certainly made my life easier, thanks for watching mate
Fantastic work Tom.
Man after my own heart, the feeling after a day of grafting is what keeps me going sometimes.
I certainly does keep you going, I find being busy is good for the mind, thanks for the support Tom
I love how Tom says you can only do what you can do and then does a perfect job every time!
Thanks for the support as always mate
You powered into that Tom......great thinking on your feet and workmanship....first class job. Like the look of that shower base system. Well done buddy.👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Eddie, the impeys are fast to install, they are a bit more money than others though
Tom, I really love your attitude to plumbing and quality, you're a credit to the trade keep em coming mate
Thanks so much for watching, it is greatly appreciated
That's a heck of amount of work for one bloke in one day.👍
I certainly had to get a wiggle on, thanks for the support as always mate
Hi Tom , this video made me feel like i had done all this work , im worn out , think im going to take the day off tomorrow to recover !!!
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I could do with a day off as well, I did have a customer buy me an ice cream today which was nice
Well done mate great job lovely bit of first fixing 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate
Hi Tom, wow that was a lot of hard work on your own mate. Well done, I’m sure it will look great when you have finished.
I have never fitted an Impey tray etc, but I do like what I have seen when you have fitted them on numerous occasions. Have a great week Tom and as always take care. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, the impeys are my preferred choice as they are quick and easy to fit, they are a bit more money but the fact you can spin the waste certainly helps on a lot of jobs
I’m with you on the filling loop round the wrong way! Amazes me how people get that wrong so often
It does annoy me, it takes no longer to do it right either, thanks for watching mate
Well, the filling loop is for filling, not really for draining the system. Please check these toolstation units: 35419 - if you fit it the other way round (check valve on the filling line) and you remove the braided flexi (as we all should and do, lol)..you would get very wet. Sure, you could add an extra valve just before it, but that's extra work. You could buy 83963 - but it's £5 more expensive - so I would have to spend my money for your convenience of draining the system via filling loop. :-)
Well done Tom you got loads done on that job, there’s always somebody chasing you to get done, you’ve got more patience than me 🤪 are you going to film it to its conclusion as I always like to see your jobs finished, all that attention to detail first fixing pays off. Take care 👍🚽
I hope to film it to a conclusion, I have filmed connecting the hot and colds up onto the existing pipes, it just depends what time I have and how I feel if I film the second fix, Thanks for the support as always Peter
Awesome work mate, crazy you managed to get all that done in a day
Thanks for the support mate 👍
Tom you are without doubt a bloody good plumber. Nothing seems to faze you which is brill! Keep it up.
Thanks for the support as always Max
Fantastic effort on this one Tom, that’s some amount of work in one day , hopefully you get the drain for the WHB in the place you need it to be.
Thanks for the support as always Andy, I'm hoping it's in the right place, I haven't been back yet to fit the sanitary ware so I'm still not sure
You have done a brilliant there so far Tom ..there was a lot to do .👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always John
Smashed that out tom fair play mate
Thanks for the support as always Ashley
Great video Tom. I’d want 2 days for all that work easy. Not sure why you’re coring out for the extractor, let the lazy spark do that!
I always do the extractor fan holes whilst I've got my core drill out, I had it years ago on a job where nobody did them and it ended up causing a big issue. I'm not one of those to say not my job, if I can help someone out I will always try, thanks for watching 👍
Bloody good days work there mate. Hope the builder appreciated it…..
Thanks for the support as always Andrew, I doubt it gets appreciated, I think plumbers sometimes get looked down on as most of our work is hidden
Quality jobbing Tom.
Thanks for the support as always Gary
Well Tom I’m sure your customer is very happy with your job-and taken the time to fix his mobility scooter 👍. Glad you still got Henry the bucket’s your getting a good collection of them, hope you having a good week see you on the next one 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, you can't beat a good collection of buckets with holes in them
i enjoyed watching that video Tom, you got a lot done. 👍
Thanks for the support as always mate
Tom- OMG! I am installing 9 of these and didn’t have a clue until i viewed this video - God Bless and The Wonderful work you do
Glad you found it useful, they are nice to install I find, thanks for watching
It's great to see a pro at work Tom. Keep up the good work
I wouldn't say a pro, maybe one day, thanks for the support mate
Great job Tom, that was a serious amount of work done in a day.
Thanks for the support as always Paul
Brilliant job as always Tom,
There a cracking Tray,
The press fit is a much quicker job altogether now 😂
😎👍🤜
Thanks for the support as always Tony, the impey trays are my go to just for the speed of installation, they probably are a bit more expensive though
Great video Tom great content as usual you certainly earn your money with the hard dirty work you do thanks very much for showing us
Thanks for the support as always John
Super Tom as always thanks for the vid
Thanks for the support as always Mark 👍
Great video showing how you have to be multi skilled on some jobs.
Thanks for the support as always mate
Top work as always Tom.
Thanks for the support as always James
Great job Tom I would have fitted that filling loop correctly wile the system was drained all the best Kevin
Fair point mate, I can do it when I go back, I was just under a bit of pressure, Thanks for the support as always
Super video Tom, and super impressive work as always. Thanks again.
Thanks for the support as always Steve
Alway look forward to you videos. The time-lapse was good! Nice experiment.
Thanks for the support as always mate, It is greatly appreciated
Spot on as always Tom. 👌 Them impey decks are brilliant. Be interested to see what you come up with for the waste on that corner basin.
Thanks for the support as always mate, the impeys are my preferred wetroom tray because they are so fast to install
You smashed that one Tom
Thanks for the support as always Keith
First class 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the support as always Danny
Lovely old job Tom
Thanks for the support as always Andy
Great content as always tom .
Thanks for the support as always Gerry
Great job Tom 👍😎
Thanks for the support as always Pb
Brilliant video Tom
Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated
Quick question to the best plumber on UA-cam! If I took an olive off a 22 mm pipe where a previous compression fitting was cleaned it up and pressed over it would it be ok??? (ie an indentation in pipe where olive was would be present). What do you think?
It depends how much it's dented, most of the time it will be OK, I always use paste over the new olive and you will likely be fine
Point proven right there I’ve got 4 core holes to do proceeds to say 1 is the extractor fan
This is why at the top of every tree is a plumber by trade
I always try to look after the other trades if I can, whilst I've got my core drill out I might as well do it, thanks for watching Mick
@@PlumbLikeTom I get it if the whole
Job is yours
Give an inch they will take a mile
nice work mate
Thanks for the support as always Craig
Seems like a canny job for you Tom, well done 👍
Thanks for the support as always Charles
That seems like a huge amount of progress for one day.
Did you get the screws on the trap mixed up? It looked like the countersunk long ones were designed to go in the vinyl trap ring, and the pan heads hold the trap to the tray.
I don't think I got them wrong, the vinyl ones on the top are threaded, more like a bolt, and the others are more of a standard screw, I could be wrong though, I will find out when the floor layers ring me, thanks for the support as always John
@@PlumbLikeTom I think you were right. I (rather sadly 🤣) just looked up and read the datasheet for the SLW2VG/H trap. It shows M5x12 panheads for the top vinyl clamp and M4x40 for the lower drain fixing, though they are panheads too. Maybe they supplied a wrong screw pack as the countersunk screws look like they are from something like a Wirquin SLIM+ to hold down the stainless fixing plate.
I'm sure it doesn't matter one bit, it just stood out to me.
Top job as always Tom, you flew through that. Quick Q - how comes you can't leave those iso valves on CH pipework? I don't put them on but see lots of it all the time, always wondered
Do you mean to the towel rail? Usually used as a temp shut off on 1st fix. If you haven't got compression or plastic stop ends. If they were left and as you say, you've seen lots, will restrict the flow amongst all the other restrictions that come after, ie rad valves, pipework, etc. Helps with 2nd fix when soldering mainly and purging the air out. Not a problem really, just look shite on pipework.
Isolation valves shouldn't be left on heating pipes as they restrict the flow and aren't temperature rated, full bore levers are suitable though but the ones I've used here are just temporary to aid me draining down on my second fix
man you work hard top top job Tom question if you don't mind me asking do you work for yourself thanks
I work for my families construction company, my job is to look after the plumbing side. I try not to get involved in anything else to do with the business, thanks for watching Brian
💯👍👍Tom you 🔷geezer 🎉🎉
Thanks for the support as always Paul 👍
I could do with that music whilst working, would drown out me swearing and getting progressively pissed off whilst plumbing 😂. Cheers Tom
I know how you feel, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
#theres a hole in the bucket dear Liza, dear Liza there's hole in the bucket #😀
There certainly is Max, one good thing it never gets full
Great video. The bathroom could do with a bidet
I think it would be a bit tight for space, thanks for watching 👍
Hi Tom if you weren’t rushing home to mess about with that utube stuff you could have easily finished that job in a day.🙉🙈😂😂😂💪💪💪
True that Neil, I tend to spend a hour a night on youtube stuff when I've got all my work done, it's just a hobby really but I enjoy doing it
@@PlumbLikeTom Tom I was joking, love your channel and always do your best💪💪💪
I know you were mate, I probably do spend more time doing youtube than I should though
Is it a lot of work to reverse the loop? (Great vids, thank you T)
It wouldn't be a big job, I might do it when I go back to second fix if I remember, thanks for watching
Nice one Tom, were you tempted to use speedfit in that bathroom? I'd have given it some consideration due to the time pressure. Cracking job anyhow.
Take it back, just watched another bit of the story, too quick off the mark as usual. 😊
Thanks for the support as always Hugh 👍
For me, better without the music, just the high speed work noise is more pleasant. I suspect most will disagree with me though.
Thanks for the feedback Alan and thanks for watching
What make is you drain down tube Tom? Any good?
It's called a plumb tub, they are handy and quite cheap, I've had this one years so they last as well
@@PlumbLikeTom thanks so much for replying Tom, I really appreciate. It was the red rubber drain down hose I was asking - what’s yours? As there are some dodgy ones around. Thanks again 😀😀😀
Sorry mate, I can't remember the brand of mine, I'm sure I got it from Amazon though so it was likely an unbranded one
Currently doing ACS 30 week course, but just got an interview with SGN for an emergency gas responder apprentice 🙈 bro what should I do?
Go with SGN mate. Get the experience, let them pay for your ACS or contribute to it with college. Then you can do what you want after a couple of years.
@@56ty78ui thanks mate I’ll see how I get on tomorrow!
Best of luck with the interview mate, I would defiantly be going for it, you tend to get looked after really well at big companies, like the comment above says, you can always get the experience and qualifications and then move on
Did you pass your ACS Tom?
I did mate, I was disappointed with the course though, some of the questions were at least 2 years out of date, I have emailed them but they haven't bothered with a response, it does beg the question what's the point in paying all the money only to get out of date questions.
How did you manage all that in a day! Looks like 2 days work
I didn't quite get the hot and colds connected to the existing supplies, thanks for the support as always mate
Don’t you just love a builder that’s behind on their work then expect you to make it up … it’s constant…. Then they don’t pay !
Sometimes jobs do get behind, I often find it's when they have the next trade booked in and they don't want to let them down, everything always just about works out ok, thanks for the support as always Andrew
@@PlumbLikeTomWhat room did that used to be where your putting the wet room
@@PlumbLikeTom my grandma has a whale gulper in her wet room to pump the water out from the shower it's very good
It was part of the dining room, the stairs in this house are really difficult so there was no chance of a stair lift, a toilet and shower downstairs was the only option
It was a good job but you would not have done all that if you had to solder all them joints I would have fitted plastic piping in the wall where it won't be seen
Plastic could have been an option, the only thing I worry about with it is if a mouse decides to chew a fitting, I've seen it quite often. The pipe has anti rodent stuff in it but the fittings seem not to have, thanks for watching
Buy a bigger trowel or a float lol
I do have one somewhere, thanks for watching as always Tom
So much for a days work, m8
It was always going to be tough, thanks for watching
🤘😎🤘🫖☕️🍪🎥👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Wayne, have a great evening 👍
