@@nanocalderon1997 no it has traction control though if its like the older 2023, but there is nothing that will slip the clutch for you as that is completely manual. It will prevent the front wheel from lifting or spinning the rear though (I think any traction control does that) so in that regards its a near perfect launch, but for a true launch you still need to give throttle inputs while releasing the clutch (after that you can keep it full throttle)
@@nanocalderon1997 They are only upshift. It has a slipper clutch so if you do slam down gears incorrectly and without using the clutch its smoother and shouldn't be as easy to loose traction and wreck. Also note that on any bike (within the last 100 years) you don't need to use the clutch for up or down, you only need it for taking off from first gear and coming to a complete stop. Motorcycle transmissions are continuously meshing sequential transmissions, unlike cars (where you need to use the clutch, with exceptions), motorcycle transmissions don't actually need to use the clutch if you do it properly. Notice how none of the quick shifters have a way to move the clutch? That's because they don't. They only blip the throttle for downshifts (which you can do with your wrist), or they can cut ignition for upshifts (which you can also do by closing the throttle with your hand). Since the ZX-6R is mechanical cable, they only have upshift (cutting ignition), otherwise they'd need a servo or something to move the throttle cable.

@@DavesMotorCars slipper clutch won't allow you clutchless downshifts, it'll just avoid locking the rear wheel when you shift down on higher revs, the gear change itself has to be with a clutch engaged so that the clutch can match the engine speed for a smoother gear shift. You might wanna clear this up with the dealership.
@@DavesMotorCars correct. All zx6r lineup since the introduction of the 2019 and up with quickshifter are clutchless upshifting only. The technique you’re using is well known to clutchless downshifting/upshifting where you let off the throttle and blip it just as soon you do that, it disrupt the clutch plate and gears just enough to easily switch down the gear. The true quickshift and autoblip is control by the shifter module and drive by wire to cut engine at the right milliseconds to allow the gear to shift into place. Autoblip as the name implies, does engine revmatching for downshift to give that smooth gear transition. Slipper clutch is a technology to help ease in the abrupt clutch and gearing during shift and accidental shifting. This will prevent the rear wheel from abrupt wheel spin. I bet there's all the ingredients for a usb socket under that rear seat if you're interested. Its in a little rubber boot, and has a pair of wires that goes to nothing. A little black cap on it. Any of the 2-wire, weatherproof sockets on you-know-where-azon will work. The little cough it gives with KQS, mid-throttle, from like 2nd to 3rd is tremendous. Very subtle, and doesn't do it perfectly every time. You might not hear it if you're not riding the bike. A little puff.
only a couple minor changes really. I had that TFT display on my Z900 and it was cool at first. That is the exact reason I bought the 23 model last week instead of the 24. I do absolutely love the new colors and the projector headlights though. Great choice in colors bro! Also go ahead and throw it in sport mode as the legit only difference is traction control is on level 1 instead of level 2 on road mode. Ride Safe!!
To Open that Back compartment of the bike there is a key hole you can stick your key in and turn to pop it off. You can see it clearly on the left hand side at 4:05.
It’s aggressive for sure but I’ve been commuting on sport bikes for a while. 400 was more comfortable but this isn’t too bad IMO. Just gotta get used to it, definitely needs a new seat though.
If that is true for auto blipper they moved from cable actuated throttle to ride by wire. Otherwise it would be impossible. Here in Europe they do not mention it for 2024 model, they say only QS up like on mine (2019).
thats a big jump tbh, triple the HP, you better ride it at low rpms for the first year because once you go above 10k it will pull unlike anything you expirienced this far, especially with no IMU to keep you safe.
@@iNFiN3 Probably sooner than that. I had a 250cc making 15 HP for about half my life, but after about 1500 miles I started opening up the ZX-6R (got about 2k miles in 2 months with it), and its feeling slow now since I've gotten used to it (by slow, I mean at the top end a 1000cc would be nice, but realistic for street its PROBABLY good it tops out at 150 mph...) The 60 to 120 time is about 7 seconds, and with 15t/43t it basically tops out at 150 mph GPS (160 will be indicated on dash at what looks like 16k rpm but I've seen 162 on the dash before so it must be like 15.9k rpm at 150.3 mph true GPS speed). That said, you have to be VERY selective where you open it up, because you can't just go doing that anywhere, some deer is going to run in front or some car is going to pull out of nowhere. The limit will be however fast you can slow down to a stop (and how long it takes for a deer to get to the road sprinting from the trees)
I will note, I have the 2023 model with 2 power modes, and 3 traction control modes. The first 1200 miles I was very thankful for low power mode helping ease me into it (and I rarely exceeded 4k rpm in 6th gear which is like 40 mph since that's the break in period for the first 400-600 miles). Also today it was raining, so I actually used the traction control mode and you can tell when it kicks in (its very nice and smooth, not that wheel spin is a big deal if you're used to off-road play, but its nice so it keeps it tame and settles it down on rainy wet roads if you give it a touch too much throttle or shift slightly wrong, makes it much more forgiving)
If you do track or highwaypulls maybe. Undeniably the ZX6R is a better bike but a 600's are just boring on the road. Ok it can go fast and stuff but it's more fun to ACTUALLY hit the revlimiter and use the gearbox in daily use, rather than having to find a good road to actually get out of 1st and 2nd for once.
Same with mine I got lucky . They called me when it was still in the crate and they called two other guys and they didn’t answer I was the next lucky calller lol.
Interesting how the front fender doesn't have a bolt in the top hole on both sides. (Edit, I see you removed the reflector from this area and have yet to find replacement bolts.) The Ninja 400s all came with a toolkit, in the same spot you've folded your manual under the rider seat. Perhaps the dealer removed yours or forgot to replace it after setting the bike up for the first time.
Got the same bike bro🤙 what’s your process for the break in period? I was recommended to keep it 4K rpm or less and I thought that’s crazy, I’ve kept it 9k rpm or less for the past 150 miles that I’ve put on the bike
The 2023 is pretty responsive, and I mean that in every way possible. Almost bucked me off while I was adjusting my backpack (one hand on the bars, when it accelerated more than I did pulling my throttle hand back which meant it it turned right leaning left, then I bounced back and forth cutting the throttle on and off getting bucked around because I wasn't gripping the tank enough), its got more torque than small bikes and inline 4 engines have a lot of engine braking, so it will be jerky if you are not smooth on the throttle. At very low throttle (just as its engaging) is when its the worst, and I was probably bouncing between 0 and 5% throttle. It doesn't take long to get used to, and its not very bad, it just isn't like a 250 where you can whack the throttle open and nothing happens, then close the throttle and barely anything happens. Also the cables from the dealership they had adjusted to spec but the 4mm of twist slop almost caused me to wipe out, I readjusted to about 2mm wiggle which helped a lot (I'm used to very tight throttles). It certainly has a lot more torque than small engines, but its really not a big deal, just slowly roll on the power (unless you're doing wheelies or something)
@@jakegarrett8109 thanks for the input, yeah, on/off throttle which u referred to as the first 5% is what I care about a lot. On my 400, I would never go to first gear for tight turns cuz when I want to get back on the throttle while leaned over, unless I feather the clutch, it is not smooth and that's when u wanna be as smooth as possible. My 23 Ducati Monster does not have this issue, so I can easily go to first and get on throttle while leaning over.
Do your ankles and right above get hot to were it turns it red? Cause mine is blowing out some crazy heat on both sides at the ankles and non one can tell me why
Nice video! Any idea when this bike will be launched in India? I plan on Booking the Ninja 650 2023 in a couple of weeks but I'm more inclined towards the ZX-6R now. I don't mind waiting for this if it releases this year.
Was thinking about chopping in ninja 1000sx and as beautiful as this bike is it’s the cable throttle that puts me off. Had it on my ninja 650 and once I had ride by wire I won’t look back. Also bike looks small like the Ducati supersport. Think I’ll just get another 1000sx and aim for a zx10r down the line.
On your front fender mudguard I see you took off the reflectors so the top bolts are missing. When you install a fender eliminator, the factory license plate holder is held on with those same exact bolts that you have left on it, and you’ll have 4 spares. Use two of the spares to put back in the top of the mudguard!!
I started to look at moto since i wanna be back on 2 wheel, sporty big engine they’re not fit for city driving so no, looked at naked but 1000cc naked also too powerful and too much vibration and wind at high speed…in the end after watching video all over i think this will be my take..good priced, lots power, good on gas still, light for city and commute..the best basically
The quick shift is up only, the zx6r uses a cable throttle, up and down quick shift are only in ride by wire bikes. please don’t break your new bike forcing downshifts without using the clutch.
It’s on Kawasaki’s website that they offer KQS downshifting. But it’s very vague and I’m trying to find out more info, the shifting itself is not forceful and it wont let you if the conditions arent met just like with upshifting. You cant force the gear lever down, when it you do it it’s very smooth and seamless
@@DavesMotorCars Its possible to have it on cable throttle bikes, but actualy according to the spec sheet it says upshifts only, it has a slipper clutch so its not that bad if you roll off the throttle, but I wouldnt risk it before confirming with a certified kawasaki dealer.

@@RoyalInfratech-pr6vn ZX-10R will never be supercharged, if you want a supercharger then go for Ninja H2R because it’s still available in India, the standard H2 is out of production except for US, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and few more countries
ZX-10R has already been refresh/has a new design since 2021 so no new look/upgrades for 2024 (2012-2020 same design 2021 new design). Problably just new colorways i think.
Could just get the 2023 model. Unfortunately its geared a little slow (I only saw 150.3 mph GPS at roughly 16k rpm 6th gear with indicated 160 on the dash), but it severely cuts power after 14.5k rpm. In an ideal world, I believe you'd want to go with 18 tooth front instead of 15 tooth for absolute top speed (I think older ones did 160 mph GPS, which according to my calculations is 16t front which perfectly matches the specs), however, its peak power is at 13,500 rpm which if you put a 18t/43t sprocket setup that would be perfect for 160 at that speed and might go a couple mph faster (though first gear would go up to like 97 mph which is ridiculous and you would loose acceleration)
@@DavesMotorCars Nope. Every other Kawi that I've seen with this display has it but the ZX-10R. So fuckin weird. I love mine but it's just one of those weird little design decisions that make no sense. I'm glad you guys are getting that TFT on these new 636s, though. It's really nice to have

Will keep it in sport after 600 mile break in and oil change! Trying to keep it tame right now haha
In europe we can finally buy cuz of euro5emissions
To Open that Back compartment of the bike there is a key hole you can stick your key in and turn to pop it off. You can see it clearly on the left hand side at 4:05.
On the ZX-6R that opens the rider seat. It's the opposite of the ninja 400.
How’s the riding ergonomics mate? Too Extreme?? Congratulations On This Beauty ❤
Yeah I misspoke, it’s still cable and not drive by wire.
Hopefully I'm getting one when they'll become available. I've outgrown my ninja 400 a long time ago 😁
dude same! going from ‘23 400 to this. super stoked, looks awesome
thats a big jump tbh, triple the HP, you better ride it at low rpms for the first year because once you go above 10k it will pull unlike anything you expirienced this far, especially with no IMU to keep you safe.
I outgrew mine a while ago too but for commuting and the price it worked well. I’d never go back though the ZX6R is perfect.
@@iNFiN3 Probably sooner than that. I had a 250cc making 15 HP for about half my life, but after about 1500 miles I started opening up the ZX-6R (got about 2k miles in 2 months with it), and its feeling slow now since I've gotten used to it (by slow, I mean at the top end a 1000cc would be nice, but realistic for street its PROBABLY good it tops out at 150 mph...)
The 60 to 120 time is about 7 seconds, and with 15t/43t it basically tops out at 150 mph GPS (160 will be indicated on dash at what looks like 16k rpm but I've seen 162 on the dash before so it must be like 15.9k rpm at 150.3 mph true GPS speed).
Forget the Ninja ZX4RR, this is the way to go 2024 Ninja ZX6R 636 💪🏽🏍️
If you do track or highwaypulls maybe. Undeniably the ZX6R is a better bike but a 600's are just boring on the road. Ok it can go fast and stuff but it's more fun to ACTUALLY hit the revlimiter and use the gearbox in daily use, rather than having to find a good road to actually get out of 1st and 2nd for once.
@@Nickvdb93 i never found a 600 that’s boring.
next bike for sure...it be great upgrade from ninja400..i dont want zx4rr anymore...this 6r version way to good looking..
Didn't you replace the reflector screw in front?
Thank you for the video, I can't wait for it to be on sale in my country
I’ll get some replacement bolts, but yes I removed the reflectors
Definitely needed the info on the auto blip feature

@DavesMotorCars so NO clutches downshifting?

@@CyberGasty which in my opinion is just ridiculous for a 2024 sports bike ! A lot of sports bikes have auto blipper thesedays.
Your making me want mine so bad, THEY NEED TO HURRY!
Hopefully you get it soon! I was very lucky haha
Same with mine I got lucky . They called me when it was still in the crate and they called two other guys and they didn’t answer I was the next lucky calller lol.
Update….. I GOT MINE! All black,
Interesting how the front fender doesn't have a bolt in the top hole on both sides. (Edit, I see you removed the reflector from this area and have yet to find replacement bolts.)
The Ninja 400s all came with a toolkit, in the same spot you've folded your manual under the rider seat. Perhaps the dealer removed yours or forgot to replace it after setting the bike up for the first time.
I re-used some bolts from the exhaust on the front fender! All is good now.
Thanks for information love from ❤🇮🇳
Beautiful machine
The colour scheme is very different...I like it!
I agree!
I was just about to get the 2023 model but my dealership just got this in stock I’ma get this instead
I was too, had no idea these were out yet. Was considering the RS660 as well
@@DavesMotorCars ouuu the RS is soo sexy . That’s a hard decision to me either one you choose would’ve been a good choice the RS660 is super reliable
Got the same bike bro🤙 what’s your process for the break in period? I was recommended to keep it 4K rpm or less and I thought that’s crazy, I’ve kept it 9k rpm or less for the past 150 miles that I’ve put on the bike
My dealer told me under 6k for 600 miles, but i did more like 8k hahah.
My 16 Z800 had a kit there too
Congrats on the bike, beautiful. How is the on/off throttle on this? Ninja 400 was a bit too herky jerky for me.
Super smooth, everything is so much better than the 400.
My ninja 400 has a toolkit in a pouch under the seat next to the battery.
Been getting a lot of these comments, i guess i never took the front seat off! On my 250 it was under the rear seat
Why complaining about room for storage? That machine is designed to carve corners and not hauling things around.
once you get a real exhaust and remove the servo motor it becomes a real trunk!
Have you figured out a way to mount the helmet and locking it some how?? Thanks!
Could probably loop a metal cord around somewhere and theough the helmet strap ring but other than that no
Do your ankles and right above get hot to were it turns it red? Cause mine is blowing out some crazy heat on both sides at the ankles and non one can tell me why
Yeah my shins get a lot of heat, more than any of my other bikes but I’m also riding in 100+ weather, on cooler days it’s not bad.
Beautiful bike!!

For a cable throttle it’s really smooth on this bike, way better than my cable ninja 400
Throttle by wire is so overrated
NO HATE but I'm so happy i didn't wait for this and got the ZX4RR
Besides a more comfy ride on the ZX4RR I think this is better in most ways for everyday riding and having fun

On your front fender mudguard I see you took off the reflectors so the top bolts are missing. When you install a fender eliminator, the factory license plate holder is held on with those same exact bolts that you have left on it, and you’ll have 4 spares. Use two of the spares to put back in the top of the mudguard!!
Awesome!! Thanks for the reply!!

I’m upgrading it’s official
When coming in India bro
It has launch control?
The quick shift is up only, the zx6r uses a cable throttle, up and down quick shift are only in ride by wire bikes. please don’t break your new bike forcing downshifts without using the clutch.
It’s on Kawasaki’s website that they offer KQS downshifting. But it’s very vague and I’m trying to find out more info, the shifting itself is not forceful and it wont let you if the conditions arent met just like with upshifting. You cant force the gear lever down, when it you do it it’s very smooth and seamless
@@DavesMotorCars nope, it's upshift only bro
@@DavesMotorCars Its possible to have it on cable throttle bikes, but actualy according to the spec sheet it says upshifts only, it has a slipper clutch so its not that bad if you roll off the throttle, but I wouldnt risk it before confirming with a certified kawasaki dealer.
@@iNFiN3Right, it more of the slipper clutch system
This new model didn’t get ride-by-wire so I doubt it has auto-blip. I would recommend using the clutch when down shifting to avoid doing any harm. 😊

It does yes I was mistaken

What about zx-10r? Is it getting a new look and upgrades in 2024?

Question. Does it only rev out to 14.5k now? Did they drop the RPM limiter? As the dash is displaying 14.5 then red

@@DavesMotorCars You can retune it correct??? Also did you get this bike from a dealer ?
@@blizzthebikeof course you can prolly one of the must do things to a 636 from dealer after break in
@@DavesMotorCars thanks for confirming. Does suck tho unfortunately. At least it looks better then the previous tho
