I'm fortunate to have a '22 Hayabusa and an '06 ZX-10R and I still want this bike. Gotta start saving money for it. I started on an '04 ZX-6RR, so I'm a 600 guy at heart! Rowing through the gears near redline is so satisfying versus the blitzing fast acceleration of literbikes and up.
Hello, thanks for the video. Do you Know, what's the loading capacity for this bike. i mean, what's the driver and passenger weight limit? Thank you in advance!
And….that costs extra money. I think he was hinting at how the bike comes stock. I guess I could pay extra and throw on an exhaust, air filter and dyno tune to anything to make it faster. Loving the color though…
Great review! I definitely like the new design. Especially the front end and the windscreen. I have the 2022 KRT. But out of all the new 24’ colors, love the white and red wheels. They need to do something different with the seating. Too much space for the rider and not enough for the passenger. Keep up the great content!!
I have the 2024 anniversary edition zx6r. The power loss is at the top end speed BUT the acceleration is better than the last generation. IMO this is the most powerful zx6r if you race tune it.
I thought I liked the black more but after seeing this white I think it really pops. Hard for me to tell if the wheels are red or purple but if they're red I think it's a winner! I like gloss more than matte anyway
I been riding for over 20 years all crutch rockets. Current bike is the Cbr1000rr current gen. I’ve played with windscreens and I can tell you having a higher windscreen poke up a bit give you way less turbulence. May look cheap to you but it serves a great purpose.
Got a subscriber after that idk if I’m a fan of the front end I got a 2021 krt before that I had a 03 636 the more buttons they put on the the slower they get I can’t stand it doesn’t start out in krt mode does the new one and do you have to be stopped to engage the full krt mode I miss jumping on and full power from the 03
a tune should fix that if its the same as the year before, they can change the redline.A stock 2021 falls to like 90 hp before redline till you get it tuned .I got a 2021 tuned and its a beast .I will consider getting this one and swapping all my upgrades
Sucks that is has a lower redline at 15k instead of 16k. Also that it’s 6lbs heavier, 6 less horsepower, and 2lbs less torque… still a nice refresh tho. Won’t be upgrading until they integrate the autoblipper. Prob not until the next refresh. Another thing is you won’t be able to buy impaktech crash cage or race rails for this bc the new plastic fairing on the side is covering the bolt where the cage screws into. Just another thing to consider. Making it hard for stunt riders. Going to have to cut the fairings…. Also making it hard for frame sliders without cutting fairing
i suspect the neutering is from the ecu restrictions that many manufacturers are taking upon to reduce the emissions to meet harsher standards of today.
What are people doing for a USB phone charger on this bike. I miss the OEM charger on my 2023 650. And when the handle bars being so close to the fairings there's not much room to cut one in.
the zx6r has adjustable cam gears, can degree it a little wider on the LSA and BOOM top end pull is back, for anyone on the track. yes you will loose low end. pick your preference
Everyone asking why they dropped the redline. It's to get through the emissions regs, or they can't sell it. At least they are still selling an I4 supersport unlike others. ECU flash will sort your worries anyway. It's not like the engine can't handle more revs.
If you owned a 23 but upgraded to the 24 my buddy says you will absolutely feel the differnce in the 5 HP on the top end if your someone who does freeway/back roads whatever and gets upwards of the end of 6th. He also stated that you will feel “maybe, a slight difference in mid range torque/peppyness. Not as noticeable as the loss in the top end with the 24 model from the 23 though so in his opinion it doesn’t compensate for the difference in 5 HP loss on the top end as your sure as hell aren’t getting 5 HP more during the mid range. Somebody that is purchasing or upgrading to a brand new 24 though this won’t even be a thought in the mind, they’ll never know unless they know someone and rides a 23. Also, if they are a first time super sport purchaser or have previous owned late model motorcycles 2021-22+ (R3/N400/N500/N650/CBR650/R7) the new tech is going to stand out to them more than the older tech (analog) on the 23 zx6r most likely. Also the new tech like the cornering traction control on the 24 and obviously the new TRT screen looks more modern so IMO the 24’ not just because a it’s “newer” but the better features would be more appealing to a first time buyer or again, some upgrading but coming from a late model bike that may already have the TRY/LED screens besides the CBR650.. even though I’m fairly certain the new 2024 CBR600RR now has a TRT as well. Also the better clutch system than the ZX6R as they still have not put an auto blipper on the 24 zx6r. Cbr600rr is about $600.00 more usd if I recall than the 24’ ABS zx6r but both of those bikes have they’re pros and cons as well but that’s another story… Now.. buddy has already pre ordered his 25, and will trade in if not sold private before he takes delivery in late feb/early march for his 2025.. 137 supposedly HP… I haven’t read up or got the scoop on the differences from the 24 to the now 25 but 15 more HP FACTORY? How? Other than tunes, full system, air intake etc.. but than again.. that’s not factory.
Great review dude. Looks awesome in white. Here in Australia, we only get the KRT colour. Just had one question. Does it come with an up and down quick shift or just up shift like previous years models?
Both 2023 & 2024 use a 3 part exhaust, headers/cat, mid muffler bread box, rear muffler. Looking at pictures I think at the very least the rear muffler by itself will work for sure, and (again judging from pictures) mid part will most likely all be the same too. Sure someone will try it soon enough.
i saw on the website atleast the UK version it says the zx6r comes with the KQS for up and downshifts is that possible because everywhere i look all i see is that its up shift only and an absolute nightmare to install a auto blipper P.S i dont care if its up shifting only im just curious if they made it being able to do both
It's only upshift because it still uses a cable driven throttle, not an electronic throttle. FWIW it is possible to add auto blip to cable throttle bikes, but it's pretty expensive and involved quite a lot of labour also.
i have the z650 and i am planning on an upgrade my first choice is gonna be zx6r 2023 but ultimately i changed my mind to cbr650r then i saw the that new zx6r 2024 and im having doubts again im 5'6 so both of the bikes im gonna be tiptoeing

got my hands on the black one and it’s honestly the best bike i’ve ever gotten a chance to ride i love it
ECU heavily restricted from the factory, so a proper flash and tune is a must.
Thats a great looking bike. Its looks classy, almost like a Ducati. I love the color scheme too.
Thats the 1st thing I said to myself as soon as I saw it! looks exactly like a Ducati V2
Right! and this color scheme seems to age better unlike the krt graphics from every different year.

I was about to buy one last year I’m so happy I waited.
Exhaust, air filter, dyno tune and you can easily make up the difference in power loss which is not really much at all.

@@2wheelsonly614 flash or dyno, both will achieve notable results.

Those headlight looks so beautiful. Even way better than previous.
What a beautiful beast ❤
What frame sliders will fit on these or a 2024 specific one will be made by the various manufacturers, as the fairing has changed.
I like how the 2018 looks the best for the ZX6R and ZX10R

Wouldn't an ECU flash and tune with an aftermarket exhaust fix the issue with it being down by 5hp?
yes i don’t know anybody who buys a 636 and keeps it stock
With the same mods from a '23 model, it will make more HP.
Sucks that is has a lower redline at 15k instead of 16k. Also that it’s 6lbs heavier, 6 less horsepower, and 2lbs less torque… still a nice refresh tho.
