“Laser” love it.
Oh yeah ! U'd win The Dancing Carpenters !
Stephanie does a great impression of Jason. "Where's my tape? Where's my stand?" LOL!
Lol
That concrete post u found in your last hole is probably an old property mark when there was that road.
I would highly recommend putting a vapor barrier below the gravel to keep the ground moisture from rotting out the camper underbelly. Thank you for the inspiration!
Would have been a good idea!! A little too late! Lol.
@@Building_Jays_Way *puts hand on forehead*
The Film noir narration of Ray is top notch - A+
Roto-hammer with chisel and spoonbill bits would work well
Yeah I will keep that in mind!
@@Building_Jays_Way you guys are great and the PBB vids wouldn’t be the same without y’all. Not to worry, I’ve been sure to tell them that ;-)
It's hard to be the boss, you can tell a difference in Jay's attitude when it's his money and he's calling the shots.
I’ve How the trailer just like that with two big bundles of OSB that sucker was heavy I can’t even stop with that on there lol
From the guy calling zip tape duct tape...this should be interesting to watch
Lol!!!
Yummm Bojangles
Witching works, take it from a old timer it WORKS 😀
No-one knows why, but it does.
Love the video caught Rona watched all your videos in 5 days thanks so much been laughing so hard it makes my headache go away
Put the load under the axles
It does work. I've done it, I don't know how many times. lol
Whoah, thats sketchup you're using there for the augmented reality?!
Yeah, there’s a sketchup app for it.
Like the friendship definitions !
Love it when all the tips from Jamie make it into these videos, it shows that they’re listening to Jamie. #letjamietalk
Water witching is the real deal. Hard to argue with magnetism
WTF wait what?!
I didn't know you two guys have your own channel :D
Yeah man!! Tell all your friends!! Thanks for watching!
Good work guys!
The Dancing Carpenters! 🤣
Trying to get Ray on board! Lol.
ha ha! you guys are too funny.... burpp
4:48 haha! Ray is hilarious!
Also during the 11 minute mark, they literally witched the water line and it worked! Wow! I have heard stories about that. There must be some changes in the electrical field around the water.
Ray really need to do a video on how he use sketchup!!!! I want to be able to do plans like that!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Water witching was the old way to find water before the use of the technology that we have now. To have more accuracy, use a drinking straw where you're going to grab the wires.
😊
As a family. Good words there Jason.
I just got into watching The Perkins Brothers channel recently and I love it! I just found out that you two have your own channel so I thought I'd give it a shot....totally worth it!
Yeah, they learned everything from us then stole it to create their own channel first. 🤣 glad you found us both!
@@Building_Jays_Way keep up the great work guys. I can tell that you have a great chemistry and fun together
I've been watching The Perkins Brothers channel and noticed that it was mentioned that both You and Ray have your own channel. I've really been enjoying the hilarity on this channel along with the genuine way that even us DIY'ers have to deal with regarding our own projects. One thing I've learned regarding foundations is to always use a vapor barrier in addition to relief cuts and reinforcement if possible. Love what all of you and construction channels are doing. Keep up the outstanding work and keep building.
😊
Water witching….I used to watch my grand pa do that. Worked every time
Ray you are amazing with the sketchup.
You guys are my favorite channel rn. Chaotic construction...and I like the good humor.
Thanks.
Let's build boys!
Z Axis moves the object up and down in sketchup's augmented reality. Keep it going guys!
Wow good job guys
Appreciate that!
Nice one, guys! This channel is starting to become more and more like a serious DIY channel
Water dowsing heck ya. Nice to see it in action. wonder if its something to do with magnetic fields.... I've been introduced to those rods before- you can use them on people to see how big their aura is ;-) check it out.
Whaaaa I need to know more about this
I'm still laughing when Ray said "hey what is this Ray mart" when Jason was loading up with all Rays mountain due 🤣😂🤣. Keep up the good work guys!!
That copper trick is crazy!
Blew my mind!!!
I was taught wiching the water years ago by my grandfather and used it and it worked too!!!
What a great spinoff show really is a good treat to sit down and watch your videos
Hella, I'm actually eating Bojangles right now 🤣🤣
Lucky!!!
Back up the trailer :)
Bout time we start building something big. 😄
The "wiching" as we call it here works for any pipe and you can use copper or other metal . An old water department worker showed me the trick, he was one the guys that go mark their utilities after calling 811. I've used it to roughly locate gas, sewer, water and gutters. I've always used a line locator after "witching" the lines and most of the time it was within a feet. No idea why it works but it definitely does something.
Fun project and a great idea! Thanks guys for another enjoyable vid and good natured humor. Does Jay remember Rondo soft drink??
U r blessed !
12:50 - A hard 'NO' on that one, I don't have a friend for helping with doing what you're doing, and I did it 12 times while building (still) my deck. Thank goodness that part of it is over with.
Witching for water is what a man from my water company in Tennessee called it to find a water line in my yard lol I told my wife this cat is crazy who in the h&$ Did they send out here lol Hey my man I’d probably consider putting a 50amp service in case you ever upgrade your camper in the future. Just something to think about. Can’t wait to see this build bro!!!
Yeah I think I will for sure go with 50 amp! Thanks.
There needed to be an “Also” count…. 😂
Frozen water in hoses has never crossed my mind. Living in mid east Australia we think we have it tough if the temperature gets below 60 deg F.
It's very dangeros... And she brock all pipes... If you are not home its bad!
The water line to my house goes right under the outside edge of a pier on my front room. But it's sitting on bedrock. The foam would've been a good idea. Make sure to add lateral bracing on the posts both ways or it'll be back on the ground when the wind blows 😬 and while you meant it as a joke, having a friend that will help you dig a 3 ft hole is a blessing beyond compare
Yes bracing will be done. And yes Jones is a great friend.
That's kinda nice listening to you guys work thru the math... perkins bros breeze thru it and I'm like wth sometimes ;-) like the content, nice job guys!
Water is electromagnetic and could possibly be why the cooper reacts to it
Thanks for some insight on how it works!
I have that mixer and have put a few hundred bags through it so far with no issues.
That little thing works pretty well!
Run a 60amp service. If you get a bigger camper down the road, you're covered.
Great idea!! Thanks.
Jason, you’ve gotten really good at being on camera.
Thanks!
Great video !
atta boys!
As fence guy who digs holes all the time I can say there’s one good thing about it. You can pretty much eat what you want after a full day of burning calories lol
That’s for sure!! We were spent!
Great job guys. I really enjoy the videos. Personally, I think these kinds of buildings are a waste of effort. Instead of the one slope shed roof, that would build a gable or a hip. Really, if we’re already going that far, I say just built a garage.
@8:30 The moment Martha realized that her husband knows what he's doing! 😁
That’s Stephanie…Martha is Stephanie’s mom.
@@Building_Jays_Way Oh man....Now *I'm" in the dog house! I meant Stephanie but just heard Jay yell "Martha" so it was stuck in my head. My bad....I'll take the L
I use the two bent hanger trick all the time to find underground pipe ,I was told that when you dig the the ground it changes the magnetic pull of the earth in that spot ,and they will always go to the right
Heyyy. That’s how wells are found in mexico man. It actually works all wells are there.
I think Jay will have a place to go when he gets himself in trouble! Well planned sir!
Best video. You guys are very creative and industrious. Not only you guys are valued builders with the Perkins, you work to always improve your properties with the pole barn and Rays total renovation. Keep up the great work. Your friends from Highgate Vermont.
Wow, thank you!
What a TEAM!
Ray and Jay or Jay and Steph?😜
@@Building_Jays_Way - the love birds…
Ray and Jay
Wow!!! Sunday double videos from PBB & the Ray-Jay boys!! It is a great Sunday afternoon!! Thank you for your videos & Keep up the good work!!
Thanks.
A well driller showed me that same trick, he called it witching, he gave me his copper rods as a gift and i played with them all over my rental and my dads house, blew my freaking mind
Yeah it’s pretty crazy!
You have some beautiful land!
Thanks.
It seems so professional you guys.
I know pretty scary!! Lol.
It does work .
You guys are funny to watch keep up the good work
Get your utilities located BEFORE you dig!
I did. Thanks!!
I was just watching the lunch making channel Jason’s mother in law has. It was hilarious when she said the same thing about it being easier to ask for forgiveness as she made your food!
Love watching you guys!
lol!
What's the link to her YT channel?
Water witch. That must be a Florida thing. I worked with someone from Florida that showed me that. I was blown away being from Colorado I had never heard of this before. IT REALLY DOES WORK. amazing!
I'm from Colorado too,. We learned it from my grandpa and my dad. That's how they found water for the cattle. When we went to figure out where to dig our well, we just used metal coat hangers. It works!
Also called dowsing or doodlebugging. 😂
I like your videos Ray -Jay. Great job and attitude.
You look like the guy on the Perkins Bro channel.
Yes Ray and I work for Perkins Brothers and are on their channel.
@@Building_Jays_Way L O L
Wow that looks like the shed I wanna build! I want the 3 stalls like that so it would be sideways from what you’re building, but the same concept! I’ve never used sketchup, could you post your plans on the description?!?? Gonna look good
I didn't want to believe in water witching either, but as it turns out I'm really good at it and I can identify water and electrical conduit. I have done it many times and on properties that I had no idea what was there, and was accurate within a few inches. I also dug a well in Africa and waterwitched the location, and we struck water
Ray: I’m tired grandpa
Jay: That’s too damn bad keep digging 😂😂
You got that right!! Lol.
You can also find phone/internet cable lines by using the witching method. I actually use a wire coat hanger that I cut into pieces. It worked great when I was building a workshop. I had the 811 people come out after I did my witching and, my locations were in the correct spot. My dad used to use willow branches to find water 50 years ago.
Yeah it’s pretty bizarre how well it works!
Great job guys! This will be an awesome shelter to protect the big boy toys!
For sure!!
good job boys good video y'all funny
Do you all not have Miss Utility? We're required to call before digging and they'll come out free and mark the lines.
I’ve used that water line trick before it works !
You have a beautiful place there. And a man shed coming!
This might be the best RayJay video to date! Instead of that never ending kitchen nightmare of a project.
...
...
*"BECCA!!!!"*
It will get done eventually. It's hard having a full time job, completely moving your kitchen, and editing videos.
I think I would move the whole thing over six inches and stay away from the main house water line, that will really suck if it breaks.
Yeah. I will just have nana dig it up!! Lol.
@@Building_Jays_Way at least now, you’ll always know exactly where the line is. Leave Nana alone, she’s already sacrificed her wagon.
Thanks!
Thank You!
I think I would have brought the cement up above grade to prevent moisture getting to my wood, even pressure treated.
Yeah. I have gravel around the posts. But something to think about!
One more thing. Perhaps you should talk about permits. Does your city require or should people investigate that question before erecting such a building?
didn’t you hear Jason say that it was “easier to ask forgiveness than permission”? 😜😜😜
I recommend Jason work on his impersonation of his wife……
Hahahahahahahah
Her impersonation of Jason is on point… she just needs to add - “Whatever dude…”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Make a video on how to use sketch up. I think it’s something a lot of traded ppl don’t even know how to use lol
I think I would have formed up around that waterline
Yeah I am hoping there are no issues but I did wrap it in foam.
Go head lads👏👏can’t wait to watch all it get done. Should b finished b4 ray kitchen 😂🤙🇮🇪🇮🇪
Husqvarna ❤ Swedish power!
Lowes pro!! That’s what they had. Lol. Runs great!
This is gonna be a good project to see yall build. Thanks
Nice 👍
Thanks!
Awesome buddy! I can’t wait for more videos
Thanks.
