Sweet and tangy. When asians recommend westerners to local foods, please remember this tips to give them the best experience.

What exactly do you mean? Alipay can bind BOTH credit and debit card to it. As long as they have the Mastercard or Visa affiliations. Is that not correct?
@@k.k.c8670 I was told some of the vender only accept transaction from the debit card combined Alipay customer, some of the venders accept both. If you met one of the venders only accept the debit card ones, then it will not work. Some times for me as a Chinese, I prefer to pay via my credit card, but it wont work, then I have to choose the debit card for payment. since I combined both cards with my Alipay.
@@k.k.c8670 It's up to the vender's choice, I think they can preset it, if they want to accept debit card accounts based transaction or both debit card and credit card accounts based transaction
Some street-stalls dont use business Alipay QR code, they use personal QR code. So foreign payments will fail. That's also why you hardly ever fail to make payments in big shopping malls.the small vendors do not need to pay taxes. 用中文总结一下, 支付宝为什么 有时候付款会失败 原因是 有些商户用的个人收款码 并不是店铺收款码,个人收款码是不能收外币的。

I eat pork like that all the time, just salt and pepper though. So good.
The translation app looks cool - what app is this?

How brave to tried stinky tofu,, awesome people😂
Thank you!
Oh my goodness you're visiting my moms hometown! It's amazing how a pair of Scottish couples are making a video about the snacks of my third tier city hometown in China and I'm watching it in Canada. Please see my comment and know that you HAVE to try the old friend rice noodle 老友粉at Shuji 舒记 that's the heart and soul of nanning food with the pungent fermented bamboo shoots that are out of this world
Five spice often added .
Five spice is the western Chinese flavour
While you eating the squid.....he small boy came over to ask whether he can take photo with you!
How comes you guys don’t buy drinks with the food?
We got some juice near the end!
The trick is always to queue up behind long lines. If people are queueing up, that means it's good.
Not necessarily. Many of times local taste buds differs a lot from tourist taste buds. Westerners on the whole like food that are 1. Boneless, 2. Crispy 3. Roasted/barbecued 4. Less spicy 5. Sweet and tangy. When asians recommend westerners to local foods, please remember this tips to give them the best experience.
Yup. That is universal.
入乡随俗,不然去各地旅游是为了什么?
"Have you guys tried having Old Friends Rice Noodles?"老友粉
9:19: The Chinese boy said, "Could I take a photo of you?"
Even though you may eat the same type of food, there's a huge different of experience by eating from the right stall. Maybe you should catch up with Amy, she been in China for quite some time as food explorer and have her own channel in youtube named Blondie in China. Maybe she could give you a tip or two in eating at the right place for better food experience. 🙂
Amy is more adventurous than some local Chinese people lol😂
You know how much would cost for the grilled octopus in the restaurants in US? At least $15 for one of these on the skewer
Pork blood sausage is northern China food (3 provinces), all of them in northern eat pork blood sausage
Alan says he never went to a place that the temperature fluctuates up and down in a few days...I don't think he has counted Scotland, where I've experienced 4 seasons in 1 round of golf! He must have got lucky and was indoors when it happened.
It's always the same temperature tho haha, cold and windy 😂
@@Alan_and_Shannon true that.
hahahah, Stinky tofu. You should try the ones from restaurant, maybe. it tastes better.
I’m Chinese,but I never ever eat choudofu😂😂😂
i mean you don't have to pay electroniclly, they should accept cash.
The food is freshly mad,if you don't want it, it can't sell it to other guests, so it's free for you. Seeing that you can go to the next booth to pay, you should go back and pay the money to the family. It's not a good look at you guys. Business is not easy. Think of others.
It’s because the womans Ali pay was not set up correctly and it doesn’t allow foreigners to pay for items and are not food/drinks or goods.
It happens about 10% of the time, going back to the Lady wouldnt have made any difference
Alipay. Are you guys using Tourist card?
It is our UK bank card we use for it
Hey Alan and Shanon, greetings from Malaysian Chinese who live in Scotland. Glad yous visiting China.
I don't know how this was recommended to me, but I'm so glad it did! Aye, those pork blood chinese sausages are the closest you'd get tasting Scottish. Go for it, ye know. I'm so happy ye found it and like it. Let me tell ye a few of me Taiwanese friends were so fond of haggis and black pudding when they were over in Scotland. Well, just like ye both of course, that's the closest they got that reminded them the taste of home. Nowadays, those pork blood chinese sausages are more for the older generation when you move south towards Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Somehow the younger generation tend to steer away from them.
Bring that spicy chili back to Scotland with yous. Never know, ye can get some side hustle going. Enjoy yourselves and be adventurous.
Nice street food market
It was great!
Wowww £1.5 for that much octopus ❤❤! That is good deal
