you know whats crazy , obviously have noticed the weightloss and glow in alex but until that clip from november popped up i didnt realise how much had changed , ive watched for years and tbh all ive ever seen is bubbile sweet caring christmas loving alexandra, beautiful inside and out no matter the size, you have always been the same person so its kinda surprising to see that much of a outward change side by side , im so happy its working for u and that ur feeling better, keep shining angel :)
Alex, I know this is kind of personal, but would you ever do a video on your mental health journey and being on medication? I just started an SSRI and I've noticed people rarely share these stories and it would be so helpful.
My biggest advice is to not give up if the first ssri you try doesn’t work for you, or causes side effects! There are many different ones and they all effect people differently. I tried 4 different meds until I found the one that works perfect for me.
You will rock it! And here's my main tip: One thing that is really helping me to stay consistent and not fall off track is keeping a journal. I track everything every day, starting from the pre-op times. When I feel the temptation to revert to old habits, I take a look at my "book" and ask myself, "Do I really want to undo all my previous efforts?". I have my journal from etsy, because I dont have time to setup it from the scratch. i took mine from etsy shop Cortadowitch i think for 5 bucks
Girl the Fairlife is where it is at!!!! I had to start them for my 2 week pre-op diet (FINALLY got my surgery date! Next Friday 03/18/22!! 😬😍) and I actually look forward to having my protein shakes! I was able to find the Fairlife High Quality Protein shakes at Walmart of all places (and I went to 4 different grocery stores!) and those have 30 grams of protein and they taste just as you described. Chocolate is my fav - tastes like Chocolate Milk and the vanilla does absolutely taste like a melted vanilla milkshake. And the timers! I have been doing that for a while as well to remind me to get my water in! I am so ready for this - but also still so so nervous. I have tons of vitamin and calcium chew samples as well as protein powder samples from my nutritionist from Celebrate! And Bariatric Advantage, and Unjury. Also I was an Aleve person as well but take it rarely. Good tips on the alternative though! I hope you know how much these videos have helped me the past few months. I went through a year long process to get my surgery and waited a month after to get a date (insurance was being difficult 🙃). I am also primarily doing this to have children (PCOS and failed fertility treatments) just married my husband October of 2020 and turned 31 this past October. I'm ready to be a heathier version of myself and start a family. Here's to us and our future! 🥂
Omg, I’m so happy for you and I’m enjoying watching your journey you really are so amazing. Your makeup is literally flawless, I really love this look on you. It’s lovely to watch you come out of your shell more and more like the Alex I started following years ago. You are a beautiful person inside and out and you just keep doing you 💖
I am getting my surgery in about 5 months and I’m trying to be proactive and research products that will help me. Your video is the most helpful! I’ve been a long time viewer of your videos and I’m so thankful for you!
Yes, please! Had my WLS consultation earlier this month & am scheduled for my initial follow up appointments. Would love to hear more about this part of the journey❤️!
Thank you for posting your updates about surgery. As you said, theres not much info about gastric bypass and you just inspire me so much! Best wishes for you always.
I've commented this before but I'd really like some footage of your actual portion sizes. I've seen it written down but I've never actually seen what a post gastric bypass meal kinda looks like. Just an idea 💗
@@AlexandraIreneRodriguez that's so awesome! I'm so excited. I took notes of all of these for me when I have my surgery. I'm just struggling quitting smoking. Its an emotional attachment for me and it's hard. It's tied to my nieces murder and I'm struggling. But you give me so much hope. Thanks for sharing your life with us 💗

One egg, one scoop Isopure, cocoa powder, allulose (or any of the sweetener blends), tbsp of sour cream or yoghurt, Vanilla, avacado oil. Micro on 90 seconds.
I had gastric sleeve 4 years ago and I’m just so in love with the simplicity of the great information you’re sharing! You’re amazing! I adore you and have for a long time!
I was going to get bariatric surgery in 2010 but I backed up and was already in the process of getting it done 😊 I did my research about bariatric surgery, wls, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass for many years now
The constipation is REAL. Oh my gosh. I was regular before and I thought nah I won't have an issue. Had my first BM about 5 days after surgery and it felt like I had birthed a small child (thought about naming it). Started taking a stool softener and got cocky and stopped a couple weeks out, thinking I was past the worst of it, and NOPE...5 days later it was like small boulders...rock hard. Back to stool softeners I go and will most likely take them for a while too.
I added fiber gummies to my routine approved by my doctor and I have been regular ever sense. Ordered on Amazon, and I have been able to stop stool softener.
This is so funny because I just have the gastric sleeve three days ago. I could not find a single shake I like until I found fair life. I say the exact same thing, the vanilla taste like a melted McDonald’s ice cream cone and chocolate like rich creamy chocolate milk. I literally said the same exact thing you said. I also found that I can add things to the shakes to make them different flavored. For instance, I put PB two powder in the chocolate to make it taste like peanut butter cups. I also take genuine orange extract and add a few drops to the vanilla shake to make it taste like an orange push-up pop. This is such a great video so thank you so much for sharing. You’re beautiful, by the way
I had bypass surgery 4/9/24.And I wish I didn't. I'VE lost 37 lbs in 3 weeks . The problem I'm having is my food don't taste the same .I can't eat anything that taste good .I'm hoping that my tastes comes back.
I think you'd be surprised at how many things you shared can apply to people without gastric bypass. I'm looking up the water bottle and protein shakes.
How do you feel? Physically and emotionally. You seem to be doing great. What are some of the things that aren't so great? I am asking because you seem okay in your vid's since Nov?
I ordered your pill organizer yesterday and it just arrived omg it is so beautiful and actually will fit everything thkx so much for showing us the product.🥰
Alex! As someone who used to have THE. WORST. cramps due to endo and fibroids (had a hysto recently so no more for me. yay!) ask for a non-addictive muscle relaxer. I couldn't take NSAIDs because of being on blood thinners and Tylenol did NOTHING for me, but muscle relaxers worked wonders. I had already had a running prescription for them because I have been taking them for chronic back pain from an old sports injury for at least a decade. And now I still take them for general muscle aches and pains because Tylenol upsets my stomach. Chef's kiss! I got sleeved in Dec and every single protein shake has some sort of artificial sweeteners in them which trigger my migraines. Regular Fairlife milk with chocolate and regular PBFit is what got me thru the first month, because, you got it, the Fairlife shakes have artificial sweeteners. I knew this process was gonna be tough, but didn't think finding chewable vitamins would be the worst part. Just like protein shakes they almost all have artificial sweeteners too, but not Trader Joe's! plus they are much much cheaper.
Alex- quiet follower here. You look absolutely wonderful in this video- I hope you’re feeling as great as you look❤️ thank you for your honesty and the joy your content brings!
Hey Alex, I’m in my early 30s and proceeding with wls, most likely this summer. Like you, I love clothing and over the years have amassed quite the collection, probably worth tens of thousands of dollars 🥴🥴 in sizes 2X-3X/20-24, I’m honestly like mourning the eventual loss of my closet, I know how crazy that sounds. Would love to see you do a video about this! I’m also in Mass so have a wardrobe for all seasons too! Edited to change the word worth to spent lolol, it’s definitely more quantity than quality, I’m not exactly shopping designer haha.
PSA: for anyone interested in the semaine capsules Alex mentioned, they have a website, Semaine Health, and you can get a jar with more capsules than the package! I haven’t tried them, but I was looking them up and saw that they were out of stock at my Target so I went to see if they had a site and they do! Alex you look fantastic! Your changes are very noticeable, but the side-by-side is where it really did it for me!
I'm going on 3 weeks post-op for my gastric sleeve & I have to say I'm totally with you Alex on your recommendations, food scale, water jug, pill organizer, small blender definitely make the process easier. You are 100% spot on & so glad you provided recommendations to others. Love you Alex ❤️
Alex, my mom showed me a great regimen for period cramps. Put cinnamon sticks in with boiling water and lower temperature to medium/high. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add sweetener of choice to the cinnamon water and drink. Totally helped me in my younger days. ❤
I used to watch you literally alllllll time. Like way back when. Then I turned into a mom and makeup wasn’t my priority anymore then you pop up with a gastric bypass video when I’m in the middle of my Preop stuff. I was so excited to have something to relate to you with again!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh my gosh you only had to stay one night..lol boy how times have changed. I had my roux-n-y back in 2000 and had to stay 5 nights😳 BTW your looking fantastic!!
I had 2 babies back to back my baby was 6months old when i ended up preg again i ended up vitamin deficiency severely low on iron i have been having to take a ton of vitamins daily already i can get used to taking a bit more especially if it means ill have less hairloss and my teeth will stay the same and i already have to take stool softner so i love most if these things are just things that are not to much hugs
Celebrate now has a sample pack for $10 after trying them all, I've opted for watermelon. I was sure I would love caramel, but it was a hard no for me (merely because I love caramel everything)
Taking notes! I purchased fairlife protein shakes after your recommendation. I LOVE THEM! The best, way better then the premier protein. Started my 2week liquid diet. It's so hard but will push. Surgery is next Wednesday. 🙏
I love the fairlife protein shakes my nutritionist recommend it to i love the core power and the regular 30g ones to i have one for breakfast everyday i love them taste so good only the strawberry one is a bit off but still ok chocolate vanilla and carmel are my favs i really needed this video. Thanks hun hugs n love

I feel ya, that is the only protein shakes I could stand. I know most doctors are approving it now. Bariatric advantage calcium chews in Carmel. Best one I have ever tried. Take iron with orange juice. Helps it absorb better

Exactly. I could tell, but when the clip popped up, I was 😯. You look good girl. I had VSG 4 yrs ago and it is not easy to maintain.

Ashwaghanda and Curcumin are anti inflammatory and work the same as NSAiDS. Please check with your Dr.
How do you handle life, now that you can't run to food? Is that harder or easier than you thought?
