    The "amazing stability" literally from the PID tune and not solely from the build. iFlight definitely makes solid bind-and-fly builds though.

    • @poprieh
      @poprieh 11 місяців тому +5

      No bro, not one tuning PID doesn’t happened when you vihecle having weight 0,5kg or different 2kg, prop rotating 5inch so fast, 10inch … very different

      @@popriehI see words, but you aren't saying anything. Please explain yourself.
      @phiveone That, combined with props that are actually factory balanced these days. Balancing props was, for a long time, absolutely necessary for stable flight.

      I think it's both and you're both right. Poor frame engineering and design results in oscillations that can't be filtered and/or tuned out. I just ordered this thing. Once it arrives I will see how well the claims hold up. If I remember I'll come back here and report my findings.

      You need a good quality frame to get a good PID tune.

    Hi from England. You mentioned getting cold hands. If you got an old sleeping bag you could cut the bottom off and add a plastic window so you can see the screen and put the remote control in the sleeping bag. Close the entry hole with velcro. You can make holes for the ariels etc as needed. You can still wear gloves too. You can also buy heating pads that run off a 5 volt battery. Google 5 volt usb heating pads and you should come up with something. I recently bought some bar cycle mits for my bike, which is where I got the idea from. They are like a bag that fits on your handlebars over your breaks and you slip your hands in. All the best.

    Helion is very easy for FC to overheat to temperatures above 70 degrees. Is it true that Helion is not reliable in tropical countries with hot temperatures or is it not suitable in coastal areas because the cover lacks air circulation?

I ordered the Helion 10" with Crossfire from NewBeedrone & mine still hasn't shipped yet but I did go & purchase 2 Upgrade Energy Dark Lithium V2 21700 8400mAh 6S 22.2V 25C Li-ion Batteries & I was wondering what XT60 Lipos your using & where I might be able to buy some? Also is the quad straight forward as to setting it up or is it difficult? I've read some post about this being a little difficult. I'd love to hear your take on this. Looks like a slick rig! I've got a 10" that I fly sometimes, but I find that I can get 20-30 mins of flight time out of a 7", so I haven't found the need for the big guy comes up very often.
    It does look like you need to pick up a transmitter glove of some sort, though! Make the most of those flights!

    • @Philip_Halvorsen

      I do need to try a transmitter glove for sure! Do you fly with li-ion batteries on the 7 inch?

    • @bensonk
      @bensonk 11 місяців тому

      @@Philip_Halvorsen When I need 30 minutes, yes. If a 12 minute flight is sufficient, then I'll still run like a 5200 mAh 4S lipo, to have the amperage headroom without as much weight. The 21700 4S2P packs I run can do 100A if I need them to at 8.2 Ah, but they're quite heavy -- not as bad as running a 5Ah 6S pack on a 7", though! They still feel agile enough for dives and such, even with a li-ion pack and a gopro.
      On my 10", I generally run 10Ah 6S packs; I found it flies a lot better with a little more heft to it, but I think I'm running bigger motors than you are. I really should try upgrading to the latest betaflight and see how nicely I can get that 10" to fly. =D

      10-inch Long-range is not made to do crazy flippy-flops. It´s really perfect for cruising! And bottom mount makes sense for having the most flexibility for all different battery sizes. Top mount can also easily hit a rock if it crashes

      Appreciate that! I do have specific certification, but you can be a member in a Hobby flight club to fly FPV without a Spotter. Just need insurance, register on Flydrone.no and then can fly it on A3 open category

    Hva slags tanker har du om lovligheten av det du holder på med? Du flyr jo langt fra folk så det gjør jo lite skade, men etter reglene er vel all soloflyging med FPV ulovlig med mindre du har spotter som kan se dronen til en hver tid.

    What are you planning on doing for RemoteID compliance? I'd like a module I can solder to the flight controller so I don't have to 'remember' to turn it on or face the consequences when they enforce it next month. :/
