Beautiful editing, so glad I found this video. I've been curious about a large framed drone for a while and you answered a lot of the questions I have. Your channel will do well.
Amazing content, photage, clear and detailed explenation and postediting. I am starting to pickup on many amazing channels with few subscribers while "influencers" seem to have 100k+ subs. Unbelievable. Keep it up Philip and good luck!
Great shots! And yes...gotta keep those hands warm for sure. So EPIC when you have a buddy who can help create those 'chase fpv clips', which look great! Looks like a beast of an quad...thanks fore the review!
Hi from England. You mentioned getting cold hands. If you got an old sleeping bag you could cut the bottom off and add a plastic window so you can see the screen and put the remote control in the sleeping bag. Close the entry hole with velcro. You can make holes for the ariels etc as needed. You can still wear gloves too. You can also buy heating pads that run off a 5 volt battery. Google 5 volt usb heating pads and you should come up with something. I recently bought some bar cycle mits for my bike, which is where I got the idea from. They are like a bag that fits on your handlebars over your breaks and you slip your hands in. All the best.
really great footage. It's really nice to see what it looks like on the Lofoten Islands now. I was there in the summer and also flew FPV, but with snow it looks incredible too.

Philip! Really nice work you put into your first YT video - well thought through and I enjoyed watching it. Very well reviewed and got me to understand now the Helion even more! :)
This is a fantastic review, Philip. What gorgeous scenery, too. I love this quad, but wish I had some mountain ranges like that here in South Oz to fly it down. Awesome mate! 🙌❤
That is a sweet looking drone. Iflight makes solid, nice looking builds. Almost $1000 just for the drone oooomphh. I would be so nervous to loose it in the mountains haa
Helion is very easy for FC to overheat to temperatures above 70 degrees. Is it true that Helion is not reliable in tropical countries with hot temperatures or is it not suitable in coastal areas because the cover lacks air circulation?
Wow, the most incredible cinematic shots I have ever seen! I am flying 5 inch freestyle quad and after watching this video I must try long range witch some bigger drones. Great job with amazing shots! I was having great time watching them.

Random question, I know, but what gloves are you wearing? I need something for flying FPV in the cold that can keep my hands warm but still allow me to feel the sticks.
Very useful and nice review. Are you using the DJI goggles? Also, what type of range extender are you using on the goggles? Which ones would you recommend to extend the video range for the goggles? I have a DJI Avata and the video quality gets choppy when the drone is a highly wooded area
Hello Phillip, Greetings from Northern Michigan & new Subscriber as of today. I ordered the Helion 10" with Crossfire from NewBeedrone & mine still hasn't shipped yet but I did go & purchase 2 Upgrade Energy Dark Lithium V2 21700 8400mAh 6S 22.2V 25C Li-ion Batteries & I was wondering what XT60 Lipos your using & where I might be able to buy some? Also is the quad straight forward as to setting it up or is it difficult? I've read some post about this being a little difficult. I'd love to hear your take on this. Thank you & I look forward to hearing from you. Happy Flying!
Looks like a slick rig! I've got a 10" that I fly sometimes, but I find that I can get 20-30 mins of flight time out of a 7", so I haven't found the need for the big guy comes up very often. It does look like you need to pick up a transmitter glove of some sort, though! Make the most of those flights!
@@Philip_Halvorsen When I need 30 minutes, yes. If a 12 minute flight is sufficient, then I'll still run like a 5200 mAh 4S lipo, to have the amperage headroom without as much weight. The 21700 4S2P packs I run can do 100A if I need them to at 8.2 Ah, but they're quite heavy -- not as bad as running a 5Ah 6S pack on a 7", though! They still feel agile enough for dives and such, even with a li-ion pack and a gopro. On my 10", I generally run 10Ah 6S packs; I found it flies a lot better with a little more heft to it, but I think I'm running bigger motors than you are. I really should try upgrading to the latest betaflight and see how nicely I can get that 10" to fly. =D
Hello, great, I would like to know if this drone with the DJI Goggle 2 has better video reception in glasses than a Nazgul Evoque V2? video?, thanks!!! 👍
@@Philip_Halvorsen Hello, Yes with O3, sorry I don't speak English, I will use a translator, as I understand you, you say that with O3 the video reception should be better with the DJI Goggles 2 on the Iflight Helion?...
Looks great hate the battery on the bottom when doing flips in makes the quad sling shot, also battery on bottom hitting rocks in a crash is a great way to start a fire on a mountain not covered in snow!
10-inch Long-range is not made to do crazy flippy-flops. It´s really perfect for cruising! And bottom mount makes sense for having the most flexibility for all different battery sizes. Top mount can also easily hit a rock if it crashes
@@Philip_Halvorsen why have a quad that is limited, who doesnt want to do a roll or two, and yes bottom battery is much much more susceptible to a battery being ripped off if your mountain surfing and its the closes thing to the ground or rocks, i like the look of the drone im not a fan of bottom mounted batteries after flying FPV for the last 12 years.

The "amazing stability" literally from the PID tune and not solely from the build. iFlight definitely makes solid bind-and-fly builds though.
