I saw Barry Manilow last summer in Cleveland, he’s still fantastic!
Treacle is pronounced tree cull, it's a very dark sticky syrup that is added to rich fruit cakes and deserts in the UK. I don't think there's anything like it in the US but the colour is exactly the colour of the felted tweed.

Treacle is a dark syrup - the same color as that yarn you showed :)

To tell you the truth I would pick purple. It will show off your hair colour. But again I wouldn't do all those multiple squares it's too overwhelming for me. Have a great vacation
I spent 35 years in schools and there was always a problem with the temperature. Either too hot or cold.
In one of my schools it got so hot on weekends in the winter that the wax crayons near the radiator would melt !
I agree with you parents and school board members should spend a week in the classroom. 😂

After I discovered Kaffe Fassett’s stranded and intarsia designs a few years back, I fell in love with Rowan Felted Tweed. I did find it itchy, but I guess I got used to it, because there was no way I was NOT gonna wear the colorwork scarves and garments that I obsessively knit on. Rowan says that RFT can be machine-washed in cold; I’ve always taken them at their word and have no regrets. I’ve successfully used it as a sub for fingering. Love it!

I like the darker gray color. It looks warmer with the violet colorways.
I think Dina should stick with her original color for the Jethro. Don’t get caught up looking too closely at individual squares, when combined they make a unique whole that is its own thing. I have finished my Jethro and I love ❤️ it. My “main” color is a cream and it works well.
Hi Dina and Pam, I thought the original colour on the square looked beautiful and when you held the two skeins up close to your face, the lighter one compliments your face much better than the dark grey. Such beautiful colours both of you have picked for the Jethro sweater!

Great Grey owl for the square. Barry Manilow - go as often as you can. Mammo results should at least be gone over during your annual appointment with GYN/surgeon, depending on how far out you are from your “cured” date. Treacle is a syrup mostly used in the UK both as a sweetener and a baking ingredient … Hoping you have an amazing vacation! And love your vlogs even though they aren’t live all the time❤

The darker grey would be best! I’m going to copy your colors, they are fantastic. You don’t have to do 2 rows between them, just the one to crochet them together… but if 2 looks better, do 2. Crochet is your flexible friend. But those colors make me want to go pick some berries!!! And now I need to make a Silphe in a deep berry too… I might just be wanting some berries in my diet…

Hi! I would keep the color you’re already using. Will make the sweater brighter. The joining will make the outer edge wider due to the joining of the squares as they are each bordered with that. Just my opinion.

Pam, your mam story upset me too. Most women get anxious getting a mam, but when you have a history, the dr should be sensitive to you being given the results. I'm glad you went, and all is well.!
Did you get charged for the Dr?
Agreed, and I think that’s why I was upset bc this Dr found the breast cancer on the sonogram originally so I feel the dr following up after the technician is important.
The hardest part for me once I joined my Nila in the round, was remembering to not do the RT on the even rows. But the 4 row repeat, was easy and easy to know where your at as rows 1,2 & 4 are the same & row 3 is the knit,purl round.
Exactly! We brought that point up in the KAL class last night. Easy to overlook that
I never see the doctor when I get a mammo. I see the technician and the doctor reads it while I wait and then they send me home with a follow up letter.
For me they don't read it right away, the nurse calls a day or two later with a follow up letter.
Where I go they won't make an appt for the next year until u get your current results

Definitely a personal feeling
I think it was Elizabeth Zimmermann who said that you can get used to anything in the service of fashion, and that’s the way I feel about RFT. Yes, I initially found it itchy, but I decided I didn’t care, and now I don’t even notice any prickliness LOL. My kid has an opposite opinion. She loves the intarsia throw that I made for her, but she keeps it draped over a chair on which no one ever sits.
