- Arrowhead Hunting on the Ohio River. May 2019. We found quite a few awesome artifacts during these hunts! Going just a bit further is often rewarded! Both the first find and the last 2 finds were found by going just a little further.

@@pinebeltrelics8055 Tis the season! River is up a little now and we have rain for the next 3 days, its not quite at the right time of year for the rain not to raise the river level up too much, those days are always fun though!

Countless times! Just going a bit further has produced some quality finds. That big one that Joel found (the first one we filmed here) was about 15 feet past where someone turned around from the other direction.
Beautiful arrowheads grew up in Maryland And never found them on the banks of the creeks
Hope you do find a honey hole Mike, never know when you're going to come across something! We only discovered this while Joel was wake boarding and decided to stop along one of the beaches, we hunted that one beach as our only spot for quite some time before realizing that there were many more places to look at. Takes a little bit longer to focus but I think it is working great, the other lens was not made to focus that well on close ups unfortunately. Glad we stumbled across this lens!

We've found quite a few Big Sandy points here, but there are some that look similar to it as well. Found a killer big sandy (we think) from the same beach a while back and it is just as stellar. its at about 4 and a half minutes: ua-cam.com/video/zF9i4EeSurU/v-deo.html

Here in North Carolina we call that a big Sandy the paper-thin one it was just laying there on top beautiful point.
Perseverance will always pay off. But you guys know that. Great video. And that little smokin thin side notch is stellar as they come. For your area might be a Knight's Island. Don't quote me though lol.
Thanks Brooksy! Watched quite a bit of your live stream, you have some awesome wall decor there! Knights Island, Intrusive Mound, and Racoon Creek are 3 that we may have found in the past but aren't able to quite type them right. We're just happy to get within the right time period and cluster!

I grew up in battleground Indiana searching for arrowheads and stuff... U ever been to the area?
Its not sounding familiar, I pulled it up on Google Maps and its a bit Northwest from where I've traveled. Some good looking waterways in that area though.
@@mudstompers oh yea the rivers cut rite thru the the area and I used to find points all the time when I was younger ... Never tried the riverbanks honestly I just hunted fields and stuff... I'm sure theirs tons still left to be found

We've heard about them, similar to Racoon Creeks and Knights Island. We haven't gotten it down to a science yet, but that is one of the best parts of uploading for us, everyone is very helpful. Thank you!

When you find one like that and the ears are squared it's a big Sandy when you find one that's got the rounded ears it stay out maybe an eighth of an inch more sometimes longer that's a Rowan point.
Can you look at this video?: ua-cam.com/video/zF9i4EeSurU/v-deo.html at about 4 minutes and 30 seconds, we've assumed that is a Big Sandy as well but wasn't too sure.
Rowans and big sandys are the same. There are many variations of the same style.
That first one looked paleo as heck
