It's so frustrating to me that here in Washington state it is illigal on a federal level to pick up any native American artifact. Then I see you guys doing this with no worries at all. People digging huge trenches for them and we can't even pick them up 😡😡
@@pastmasters9591 The stuff Mud Stompers are finding is out of its original context and has no archaeological value. Unlike some places out West where an artifact may sit undisturbed where it was left for thousands of years, these guys are finding stuff that has already been washed out of situ and tumbled down the bank, losing its archaeological value, and they are literally saving it from being broken or swept into the river bottom muck, and they are having no negative impact on the archaeological record at all.
I was recently given three artifacts. Two seem similar to what I see in this video. I would like to send you a video of them or the actual artifacts themselves for possible help by you to classify and or identify them. Let me know if you’d like to do that for a novice aficionado.

We don't dig at all, just surface finds, which are exempted from the Federal Archeological Protection Act.
@@mudstompers we don't dig either but it's still illegal for us to pick them up. Someone was just arrested here for bringing home a mastodon skull
