Thank you for this message. I just love to listen to you as twins. I have a twin sister also. We will be 85 this year. We are thankful for good health yet.
Just wanted to say I noticed you turned down the backgroundmusic. I find it difficult to give feedback because of the various reactions to it. Thank you very much for adjusting the volume. 🙏❤️
I can honestly say I feel like I finally found my calling about 5-6 years ago. I run the office at my daughter’s ‘small’ private Christian school. It’s hard work and I find myself still working when I get home at night sometimes, but I find that I excel at being the first line of contact at the school. My boss was actually my principal for 13 years when I attended a different small private Christian school. I ended up here when my twins were almost 2 years old. I was a stay at home mom who wanted to get them in school part time since they both hadn’t started talking yet. My principal/boss offered me a position working the summer camp and the kids would go to camp for free, so I figured 10 weeks of summer camp then I can go back to being home and the kids would go part time in the fall. That quickly changed when he asked me to work part time in the office with his administrative assistant (who at the time was the only one in the office). We had about 130 students PK4 - 8th grade at the time. I worked Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and stayed home with my kids until one day in March when he called and asked if I could start full time on Monday, lol. The rest was history. My son had just been diagnosed with autism and after 2 more years at school with us, he got into an autism school and now transitioned to our local public school for his needed services. I’m now running the office as our former admin assistant now runs our new middle school building, and we are starting school next year with around 270 students. We continue to grow faster than we can expand our campus and are currently building a new classroom for the upcoming year while also running a summer camp of over 250 campers. I excel with customer service and talking with parents, etc. I love working in a Christian atmosphere along side several people who I’d consider my extended family. 😍
I am a 67-year-old retired accountant. I am still trying to find my calling in retirement. Thank you for this message. The past few weeks I have had the opportunity to do a very small bible study on Wednesday nights. I think my pastor is enjoying not having to prepare. Thank you for recommending the Fire Bible a few months ago. The footnotes and info in that bible have been very helpful, I have even read a few of the footnotes out loud during our bible studies. (My church is supposedly Baptist, but several of us were part of a Charismatic Church 20 years ago. I was a Catholic as a child, so I call myself an Eclectic! LOL.) Diane, I enjoy watching your channel every week.
You have a really varied background. Perhaps you are exactly where Jesus wants you right now and doing what He is calling you to do. At 74 I've wondered too what my calling was but I've begun to realize that He has chosen me to do what I'm doing...encouraging people, loving people, seeing that He is honored and revered, always lifting Him up as the answer.
A car in motion is easier to steer than a car in park. I encourage people to start moving.... help in Sunday school, start a home group, bring meals to shut ins, be a greeter,... the list is endless. If you get moving and it's not the right thing, God will adjust you.
Brilliant video yet again Diana! 😃 I've been feeling lost & fearful lately & now I have a goal again. I've spoken to my hubby about this & he says that I'm a really good homemaker & give good hospitality to everyone😍
Lately I've been re-realizing my passions (there are so many)as I read or serve but as an at-home mom with two children and pregnant I feel very limited in this season. Sometimes you're in a certain season of waiting. That's okay too. Thank you for the timely message! Sidenote: I love the little plants behind each of you--look like crowns 😄
A mother of young children in the home has a full-time calling right in her home! You are tasked with creating a haven in your home for your family and yourself--a haven of beauty, learning, growth, stimulation, protection, provision, wise stewardship, and warmth. You can pour out your love, energy, creativity, and knowledge into the lives of your family members as you create and maintain a tidy, clutter-free environment in which they can thrive. Children need hands-on, face-to-face nurturing, discipline, and care from their mothers. They need to observe the example of a godly woman contentedly serving God and others apart from worldly accolades and rewards. In recent decades, society and the church have undervalued the roles of women in the home as wives and mothers to the detriment of all! We need to recover a vision of all that motherhood, homemaking, and a life of service to others can be! Were I a young woman again, I would look for an older, godly woman in the church that prioritized her marriage, home, and family to be my mentor. I would read a good book like A Mother's Heart by Jean Fleming for a 'vision' of what motherhood can and should entail. I would make Bible reading, memorization, and prayer my priorities. A young woman's love and service to her family are richly rewarding and build the lives of others; they are a great form of service to God!
Right now I’m just doing my best with my little ones at home and I cook and clean and do what I can for my mom who lives close by. My dream job would be a childrens librarian. And I would love to start a food pantry and gear it towards parents who might not have a car and can’t get to the food pantry as often as they’d like to 💓 I’d also like to have a part of it dedicated to everything a family would need to have a little birthday party for their kids who might otherwise go without.
While you enjoy the time of life you are in (loving your children and mother) you can start preparing for the things you would like to do. Librarians need to know about children's literature (and the bonus is you can read them to your children) and about computers (you could do an online computer course.) Also learning about food safety, how to store food, ordering procedures, logistics could be useful to your food pantry idea. Good luck.
Honestly, I was turned off by the title (too many youth conferences or something), but I'm so glad I watched. This was so true and encouraging and gets me dreaming again. Thank you
I've always been interested in psychology, but especially after my brother died from suicide I'm very passionate about people getting the mental health help they need. I believe also that being a Mom and raising kids in the best way you know how and in the Church to grow up and be assets and kindness to the world. ☺
My callings are music - singing and signing during the worship service and mentoring women with exhortation and encouragement. I've met one on one, led Bible study or a small group, organized women's events, or invited women into my home.
This video was so amazing. I am 63 yrs old. Recently I have been wondering about my calling even at this stage of my life. Thank you for putting this into simple terms that can be followed. Thank you for sharing your calling with us. I follow both of you and it had made such a difference in my life.

Thank you for this video! I am in a season of questioning my calling. I've been so sure of it in the past, and I've worked hard to be great at it. I have served children with special needs and their families in many capacities for more than 21 years. Now I am feeling pulled in a new direction, but I don't know what that is! I feel like I made it out on the ocean and the engine stalled. Now I'm drifting along aimlessly, moving where the waves take me but not really heading towards a destination. I could definitely use some help figuring this out!
Diane and Dawn, we love seeing you both together! It really seems like you both have come into your calling. Diana a Christian speaker ; and Dawn, an organizer and a “doer”. You both are excellent at serving others, and we thank you!
You really spoke to me today, both of you. My husband and I thinking of starting a side hustle that is what we feel is our calling. Y’all are encouraging and honest. Also you look beautiful! Happy Pregnancy! ❤️
There’s nothing wrong with making money! That’s one thing that gets under my skin. The thinking that it’s unholy to make money. It’s not as long as money doesn’t have you.

The years in which mothers can nurture, protect, and teach their children are precious and fleeting. A woman has a full slate in caring for her home, children, and being her husband's wife and helper. Because of the demands of these roles, her time for other pursuits, even good ones, will be limited. Women can purpose to give the best of themselves to their families during this season of life with frugality, creativity, commitment, and a contented disposition. A mother's undivided time and attention are greatly needed in her home. Older children and teenagers need their mothers every bit as much as babies and toddlers. My once-busy home is now silent; the children have grown, married, and established families and homes of their own. Young mothers, this day will come to you, too, and perhaps all too soon! Make any adjustments that are necessary to prioritize your marriage, children, and home. You will be so glad for doing so, and 'thank you' on behalf of your young families.
Very well said. I am trying to heed that advice again - at age almost 62. My husband (even older than I!!) and I are raising the 5-years-old-today grandson-now-son whom we have had since birth and recently adopted. I was trying to think about what it is that makes it so hard in our time for mothers of minor children/teens including myself to dial it back to maintain the focus you recommend. Careers before motherhood. Cultural pressures. Lifestyle aspirations/expectations fueled by social media. Multi-tasking possibilities created by technology. Even when you have enough money not to “need” to work outside the home or juggle working some from home, it’s tempting to split your focus and devote some of your time to that!
Thank you @SD Lorah for sharing. This really spoke to me. As a now stay at home mom and wife...my twin girls are now 6 and I'm so glad I made the decision to step back from working outside of the home in Healthcare, which I loved. Some days are very hard as I miss the professionalism and my patients. But God called me out in this season because my family and my home needed my attention. So here I am. I take it day by day. My girls tell me often that they are glad I'm home and that makes it all worth while.
@@sherriturner7669 As society (and often, the church) has little-valued the roles of women in the home in recent decades, we mothers at home need to be self-starters and encourage ourselves. Diana, I just love this message. I am blessed and grateful to be passionate about my field and it uses my unique (and not so unique!) skills. I would not call myself uber-motivated, but I have always kept moving forward and kept my eyes open for opportunities. Thank you for sharing this- and all your other gifts- with us. Love you and Dawn!
This message really spoke to my heart today. Thank you so much for what you both do Diana and Dawn. I am in a season right now where I’m re-evaluating what I should be focusing on next. This really helped today 🙏🙏
That was a very encouraging and helpful message. I love you and Dawn's channels and thank God for you both. Thank you a thousand times for all the content you both always bring to your own channels. xx👍😊
Thank you for the topic today. I have been wondering for years how I can best serve God. How can I be a light to bring others to Christ. You answered my question. Amen
I love to crochet. It's not profitable by any means, and I haven't sold anything in over a year ... but I love it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I got Carpal Tunnel Syndrom and had to stop crochet cold turkey. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't even feel like remaining on earth. What's the point of doing what you love when you just can't??
I hope you can find joy in another hobby. Maybe books or audio books free from the library. Or take walks. Volunteering somewhere. Just don't give up. Take some time to think about what else makes you happy. Best wishes.
My son (a mechanic!) had carpal tunnel release surgery on both wrists, two weeks apart. Back to work two days after each surgery. He hadn't been able to feel some of his fingers for years. Was so glad he finally got the surgery.
? What does FOLLOW PEACE look like? I'm 65 and I'm not sure I know how to follow peace. I'm a devoted Christ follower, study Scripture 2 hours a day, work 8 hours a day, seek out people to minister to, but not sure about FOLLOWING PEACE. HELP.

That was a very encouraging and helpful message. I love you and Dawn's channels and thank God for you both. Thank you a thousand times for all the content you both always bring to your own channels. xx👍😊
I enjoy your videos very much. Good message, especially the “in motion” component. ❤
Thank you for the topic today. I have been wondering for years how I can best serve God. How can I be a light to bring others to Christ. You answered my question. Amen
Great message! Thank you.
Wow! Diana & Dawn, I'm so appreciative of your videos! This one and your last one have really resonated with me. Thank you!
Thank you! I appreciate both of you.
Thank you ladies.

LOVE the painting behind y’all!! May I ask about the source??
Just love you guys 🤗
Amen!
To go along with this message, I'd like to recommend a wonderful book called "Lord, Where's My Calling?" by Teasi Cannon.
Love you ladies!!
What would you recommend for teaching and reaching children and young adults? Bible teaching
Very good advice. 🙂
So good
I love to crochet.
Could you spread your knowledge and teach others to crochet? 💙
My son (a mechanic!) had carpal tunnel release surgery on both wrists, two weeks apart. Back to work two days after each surgery. He hadn't been able to feel some of his fingers for years. Was so glad he finally got the surgery.
My mum loves her craft too. She had an operation in 1981 and is still good.
1 Tim 2:11-12 Gods word is plain as day on this subject of preaching especially in a local church.
Can I recommend a book for you? It’s called On Purpose by Julie Zine Coleman.
What version of the Bible are those verses from 1 Corinthians from?
Unimportant question: at 3:06, is Diana in the “spirit 92.9” shirt, and Dawn is in the plain white shirt?
Bahahaha, yes!! You’re good!!! 🙌 🏆
I am 64 years old and I still haven't found my calling.😢

? What does FOLLOW PEACE look like? I'm 65 and I'm not sure I know how to follow peace. I'm a devoted Christ follower, study Scripture 2 hours a day, work 8 hours a day, seek out people to minister to, but not sure about FOLLOWING PEACE. HELP.
I think they mean live according to how the Lord is leading you. Don’t force something as a “”calling”, be in prayer and do the next thing.
