Love all of these tips and encouragement - thank you! I try to thank God for all of the little things throughout the day - nice weather, good parking spots, peace in my home...all the little blessings I see. It keeps my heart grateful and connected.
I moved out of California to Arkansas in August 2022. Havent even gone to church since i got here. I was watching the service from the church i use to go to on youtube. However its a hit and miss on if the youtube people will let the church be seen. Calvary in San Jose has been under fire by the corrupt government. So i am gonna start tomorrow with churches and finding one that i connect to. Thank you for this learning lesson for us all!
So glad you posted this! California to NW Arkansas summer of 2021 !! Looking for church home as well. Calvary Costa Mesa, CA was my home church. So blessed to have Pastor Chuck as our leader. He was an incredible teacher and started Calvary Chapel. God bless your pastor from San Jose,, what a warrior!
It's been about 8 years since we have attended our local church. My husband and I watch church online. He has one he favors and I have one. Most Sundays we watch both. But I do miss having the fellowship. My husband works 12-hour days 4-6 days a week and I'm on disability so I spent a lot of time home alone.
Hi Diana, Wonderful lesson! I also love your Christian fiction booklist! I married a wonderful Christian man in my early thirties . What I remember about one of the prayers God led me to pray is that I turned over the choice of the man to God. That He exceeded my expectations is beyond being an understatement! One environmental prayer I had as a young mother was every time I nursed my baby , I would pray. One time I put on the TV instead, and the line that met me was, She doesn't do anything but pray! That was my cue! TV off! Today we pray for our grown children to marry. His choice, in His time. Thank you for the tips!
I feel your pain! I found my husband at 30yrs old after praying for him for 13 miserable years. Strangely, I never think about those years. Like childbirth, once you have your baby you don't think about the pain.
I love the picture of the vine! He is holding onto us and we are holding onto Him!!!! I find such comfort in that!!! Prayers that are refreshed, connected and intentional....sooooo good!!!! Being still single at age 48 I was so inspired and encouraged when I heard about your declaration regarding your future husband!! I have been saying a declaration over myself that God is preparing my husband for me and me for him!! The wait is hard but God is and will be faithful!! I also do this on my way to work in my car! Speaking the truth of God's Word is life giving!!!! I agree with saying what you are thankful for!!! I do mine in the morning!!! I have been reminded that the enemy wants to steal our joy and get us down! Im trying to make the effort to choose peace, joy and be thankful and not give the enemy any space in my life!!! I love thinking about different promptings to trigger your mind in prayer!! Oh I got a prayer board Diana!!! Im sooooo excited to get it up and put it into action!!! Thanks again for inspiring me in this too!!! Man I am so thankful for you listening to the voice of truth and being obedient to the calling God has on your life!!! You are such a blessing!!!
You are such a blessing, Diana. Typically, I pray in the car and in the shower. I read the bible everyday with The Bible Recap. During the week, it's the first part of my lunch break and on the weekends, I listen when I'm eating my breakfast. Today though, I decided to watch you first. I'm going to do The Bible Recap in a minute. I have the most beautiful study bible that I'm also using this time with TBR (the one your sister uses) so this year, TBR is taking me a little more time because I read the scripture, I listen to TBR, and I'm reading the study bible notes on what we just read. It's interesting because they don't always agree with what TLC says so it's a different perspective which I appreciate. Have a blessed Sunday!
Diana I thank you for planting a seed in me I had distance myself from the Lord Jesus for a while but listening to your videos I began just reading my Bible each day using the little booklet “Our Daily Bread” has exploded into my going back to church, reading, joining a Bible study, a gratitude journal too ( by the way you are mentioned in that journal)you and your sister dawn have changed my life for the good, I am so very grateful, again 😇thank you both
I appreciate this kind of content. Thank you. Lately I’ve been using the acronym BAM by Beth Jones to get into prayer. B: brag on God (exalt Him) A: admit your dependence on Him, M: make your requests known. Simple and easy to remember. BAM!
Thank you Diana for this message! It has really ministered to me. I realize I am in a stagnant place and need to seek Him on a whole new level. I know the Lord has something great and abundant for me just around the corner. I have been experiencing resistance in my prayer life and this message has inspired me to fight through the block! Again, thank you and God bless you 💓
You have been a huge blessing and encouragement for two years now. Since just before my Mom passed. I had always wanted to get up earlier in the mornings. I have been doing this since early 2020. I know The Lord gives me the grace to do this, as I am not an early riser. I love this quite time with the Lord. Also, I put a recliner in my sons old room and it is my study and prayer room.
I have a recliner in a room that used to belong to one of my son's. It is my special hang up. I used to call it my "prayer room." I realized I don't spend a majority of my time in there in prayer. So, I just call it "my room." It is wonderful to have that space! Loved this video! I paused along the way and took notes!
💕 Diana Thank you again for sharing your 💜heart, life and wisdom. AGAIN! What a blessing you are🙏 I'm gonna write down a prayer that I can say everyday like you did in your car. I'm gonna keep it short and simple so I can commit do it every day!🕙 I'm gonna pray for my husband and our marriage. My Daughter Sara and her husband (ready to give birth to Valkyrie Rose this month)👶 For my son Eric and the perfect woman of God that Lord has for him! I can't wait to start! 🙏💕
So many great ideas in this video. I try to do a 24-36 hour fast once or twice a month at least. Every time I am having a hunger pangs or desire for food I use that time to pray that I can develop a hunger and thirst for the Word of God and the will of God in my life, that I can desire for Him and His bread of life as I desire for my daily bread.
Hi Diana You got me connected to the Bible recap and that has helped me with a 15-20 read the Bible routine each day. Also Dawn got me connected with the book get your life back. Love you both, thank you for all your ways to help us connect to Jesus. I really get so much out of your videos. Hope your family is doing well and the new baby.
I love to hear your story about how you prayed specifically for Princeton's qualities in a husband. I have known others who did the same. I love your channel! I am always happy to see when a new video is available. You amaze me what you can do on UA-cam even though you have 3 small children!
I have found that being outside in nature is one of the very few places that I can be completely undistracted in my prayer life. Whether it's for a walk, or sitting on a chair on the patio, as long as I can look up into the sky, I can feel God's presence and spend time with him.
Your ideas for using simple, daily cues (like the closet, shower, coffee, car, etc.) to prompt you to prayer has inspired me to look for those daily cues in my own life (like making breakfast, brushing my teeth, etc.). Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.
Thank you Diane. I needed your encouragement. I liked your many ideas on places to prayer, worship, give thanks. My goal this week is to make room for God in my daily life and to stop making excuses. 😊
I usually pray In The morning with my cup of coffee, read, pray, and share a devotion on FB. I am very off and on with my journaling, which tends to be more of a prayer journal, and very interesting to go back and see how the Lord has answered those prayers that I write down. I also do a lot prayer while doing task. I am excited for your Devotion with your sister. Would love to be on the wait list for that. I find inspiration by watching you and Dawn. Thanks so much for the work your doing , your a great role model for our faith.
Wonderful video, Diana. Thank you. A little but incredibly important thing was brought to my attention some years ago. It was the mid-'90s and I was sharing a children's story in church. I said something that I realized was a mistake, and in the phrasing of that era in Eastern Canada, I said, "Oh, I lied"--meaning "I made a mistake" or "mis-spoke". After the service, a gentleman from the congregation took me aside privately and told me that I had just told the children that I had lied. I WAS SHOCKED!! But that is EXACTLY what I had said. At ~1:00, dear Diana, you said "to be totally honest", (and we all use that expression) but I think what we often mean is "to be totally open" or "to be totally open with you". Unfortunately that gives the impression that we weren't being honest before. And I KNOW that you are always HONEST with us, Diana. But sometimes you (and we) are more open/transparent than other times (which is completely right and good). So, I encourage you (and any one else who might be reading this), to say "to be totally open with you" or "to be totally transparent with you", instead of "to be totally honest". Thanks for reading. Hope this helps to sharpen your iron! M
I would love to hear how you used your waiting season, waiting for your husband. I am walking through a particular difficult waiting season and hearing how you talk so positively about it makes me hopeful :) I love your videos, thanks for all you do xx
This is what I’ve been thinking about lately. I’ve shifted from working full-time to my small business full-time and bringing my last kiddo home for homeschool. We are developing new routines and this will help focus our hearts!
Diana, I live in the country and drive into town almost every morning for breakfast and coffee. While it would be much less expensive to stay home, this is my main contact with other humans. After I get the food and the coffee, I drive to a parking lot at the foot of a mountain. There I give thanks for my food and begin my Bible Study. I call it “Breakfast With The King.” It’s a habit I established years ago. The first time I read clear through the Bible it took 10 years. Since I started BWTK it takes a little less than a year to read all the way through. Before I read through all those times with the NLT Version. I spoke to a friend who is a pastor. He challenged me to get a more difficult Bible to read. He asked me what are the most accurate versions. I replied the NASB and ESV. He said so use one of those and read through it. I was reading directly through it again, my 6th time I believe. But the I found some things that really pertain to a calling on my life that I have had since December 2006, but haven’t done much about. So I have been studying for that project. Reading all the verses referred to in the text. I have been having an amazing time in Bible Study doing this. It’s like a light has turned on. I believe I have found a new Church that I want to try. I read The Who We Are and What We believe on the local Churches websites. I have watched several services. And am ready to start attending. Initially I tried another Church, but it was 40 miles round trip through the Mountains. I didn’t feel like I could easily participate in the life of the Church living so far away. So this new Church is right by where I have BWTK every morning. So I hope to become fully a part of the life of the Church.
Diana…Loved your video…such great reminders of prayer, where you talk about prayer in the car that the clip shows a woman who is texting and driving…makes me a little nervous seeing someone doing that even in a video. I remember making prayers into a song when my daughter was little and we drove thru fog on our way to her aunts house. Can’t believe how much your older older children have grown already! So glad your husbands family was able to stay with you for such a length of time. Have. Blessed weekend!
I noticed this also and it goes totally against what we know and are being constantly told through PSAs.....Don't Text and Drive. It is illegal as well as dangerous so please, if you are able, pull this or change this clip in this video.
Amazing and practical teaching. One way I make time to be with Jesus is getting up super early(usually before 3am). I know that no one will intrude on our time and it’s the best way to start the day He’s given me.
@@cherylwebb8340 Hi Cheryl, that’s funny.😂 I normally aim to be in bed by 7:30…notice I said “aim.” Even when I miss, it’s still worth the early morning rising. 😊 Take care.
You’re a wonderful teacher. Our family is in a very hard season and I keep praying for health, finances for a home with space that fits our needs, and peace. Our lives can be quite chaotic homeschooling 4 kids with one child with severe autism. I am constantly going and it’s exhausting adding that to my own health issues. 🙏🏽
Thanks, I’ve been hurt by people in my church. I left 10 years ago and have not returned. I never thought I’d be one of those people. Prayers please for a great Christian community.
Can I ask that you add a wee prayer for the British Royal Family and our new King as he mourns his mother and lead our country and commonwealth into a new future xxxxxxx
I'm always readin my devotion book in me loo I leave it in there lol I also always wake and go straight to my bible app on me phone and do that then again when I go to bed before puttin on charge my friend says talking to myself is a sign of madness lol I said I'm not I'm talkin to God her face was a picture bless her 😅
Hi Diana!!! So happy I get to be one of the first ones to see this post!!! I love watching you (and your sister's) videos. You are so encouraging. Thank you for your wonderful words and bright light!!
Also wanted to say...people kind of laughed at my husband and I, but when we remodeled our master bedroom we purposely designed our bathroom/closet to be a retreat space, so I totally understand about making that the environment to set your day off to a good start! You are guaranteed to be there everyday. HAHAHA!
Thank you so much.. this is God's sent message.. i love the christian fiction reading..i also believe in that, as a way of good escapism from the intimidation of social media.. may God bless you and your family too
I use SPECK… S, sin to avoid; P, promise to claim; E, example to follow; C, command to obey; K, knowledge of God. Thanks for encouragement to pray. I have lists upon lists… if I tell someone, I’ll pray for them, I do it on the spot & that helps me remember to add to my newest list. Thanks again!
I’m so thankful for this video. In the past couple of months, the Lord has been impressing me to pray more. This video was just a shot in the arm and an encouragement to keep going. I really like praying in the car. That’s where I really start praying.
I was really excited about getting the printables for the prayer closet & who we are in Christ affirmations & was so disappointed to see that they are no longer available. I don’t understand how this stuff works, obviously. Oh well! I love you gals & will continue to listen!
Love this video! As believers prayer is our power source!💥 I have set up prayer reminders on my phone of people & things to pray for throughout my day.
I love watching you and Dawn. Both of you have your own personal gifts for sharing. I love how you pray. You have a soft gentle voice that is encouraging. I really like the idea of the prayer closet and will be incorporating that into my life. Thank you for all you do !❤
I am so thankful to have found your channel. We haven’t found our church yet, so it’s been wonderful to have your wisdom and love of the lord in my life to keep me connected, and on my path with my spiritual journey. Thank you for all you do. You help so much. Congratulations on your precious baby. ❤️ God bless you and yours. ❤️
I Love this! I love incorporating these important habits into our daily routines. Thanks for sharing ways to worship in every area of our homes and life. I love prayer journaling. And reading scriptures whenever I have a spare moment. Thanks for sharing all this goodness! 💙🙏💙
I just Love Your and Dawn's channels... You always seam to lift my Spirits and remind me to live my life with the lord 🙏.. You are a true Blessing...🤗💗🙏
I’m so grateful for you and Dawn sharing about the Abide app and The Bible Recap reading program and podcast. Those resources help me to have a consistent, focused time with the Lord every morning. In my comfy chair in the quiet corner. Thank you.
Beautiful! And so timely. Thank you Diana. I have a few prompts… a 10 am and 2pm phone reminder to stop and pray, and discipline of 7am study/devotional/reading time just as my husband leaves for work. BUT I love all of these other environmental reminders… thank you for the continued encouragement 💕 You are a treasure.
I love this! Our phones can do so much, let's use them to set an alarm (prompt) for daily prayer/devotional readings. We get so busy it is easy to forget to do on our own.
Lovely, Diana !! Ooooh your new chair in your bedroom looks perfect . My daughter also has a terrific rocking chair bought at a thrift store for a great deal … for her & her baby girl. I’ve rocked her to sleep in it, too ! Such sweet moments ! I like John Eldridge’s app ( One Minute Pause) , & the new Resilience section in it . They have been using that same Bible passage from John that you shared here !! You look beauuuutiful ! Kudos to you, New Mom !! God Bless You ! Liz
Diana, I rarely share here (if ever??) but I am so grateful for you. I get tips and tricks for keeping God and His word in my daily routine, and I always love your prayers. I also love listening to your lessons as you teach. Thank you so much!
Thank you for being you! Also, printables are my favorite 😂 I can hardly wait to print those sheets out!! ♥️ I’m getting my pastor to link me with some women in the church for a Bible study but something is telling me I will lead it and I’m like 🫣 But it’s what the Lord wants so I’m glad to be apart of that if it’s what He wants. I really appreciate your help with this stuff (ideas, printables etc) bc it’s hard to figure this stuff out on my own. Bible studies/devotionals/quiet time & prayer were never explained since I’m the only believer in my whole family (extended etc). Thanks again!!
First thing in the morning, while waiting for the coffee to brew or while drinking it, I pray using prayer cards I was sent and finish with the prayers you provided us for Ukraine. I have people, countries and one dog I am praying for and I've been praying during a cardio workout in the gym and even while swimming. This makes my workouts less tedious and gives me the extra time I might not have in the morning to complete my prayers.
Diana.... This topic hits home.... Discipline has been the holy ghosts nudge for my soul lately... I'm so.... lukewarm right now.... Than you for the practical tips... ❤️
Sunday is a day off work for me. I always try to incorporate something spiritual in this day. Today I'm watching your video. I'm also trying to take time during my work breaks to read my Bible. I don't always succeed, but it is like building a muscle. Sometimes I only read a page, sometimes a verse. Some days I read several pages. It helps that my phone prompts me every day with a daily verse 💟
Thank you Diana. This is very good. I need to do these things. I do read devotion in the morning and right out a prayer after reading the devotion. I try to listen to worship music through out the day with my girls. I think I'm going to print out that bathroom printable. I need to tell myself those things everyday. That sneaky devil gets in my head everyday and tells me lies. Those lies affect me and the people around me mostly my family. I need to stay positive and strong for my family, the kiddos I work with in the church, and the church/friends community.
I'm so glad you are doing this type of video again. I pray for you as your family has grown I understand how challenging it is but you are very inspiring. I will keep this tips in mind for resting this fall. I also appreciate your book suggestions.
Diana I have missed these types of videos. I love all of them but your Bible study/teaching videos are my favorite. I loved "wandering" thru the book of John for Lent and Easter. You explain things so well I can really understand the word. Thank you. Have a great week.
Great video. Everyone of my passwords letters are the first letter of a prayer phase,,,so multiple times a day, I am saying a quick prayer which may lead to add additional prayers.
This is very helpful Diana. The practical tips are what people need…rather than “you need to pray more” I like the idea of prompts and even the prayer you said so often that you memorized it. That would also be a good thing to help me get started praying at a certain time. ❤️
There is much much good information in this inspiring message. I want my husband to hear it with me and I want to take notes. We just started with a small group tonight! We have felt the need to connect with our church community. This message comes to me in a very stressful season of caring for my Mom. Diana what a blessing you have been to me. I love to follow Dawn also! What a great team you make!😘
The speaker in the shower ! Lol. I have trouble sleeping so i take a relaxing bath at night and listen to your or your sister at that time ! TY, so much good info in this today!
These are some great tips, thank you! This summer I got back into reading (mostly fiction) and I worked my way through many of the books that you shared. I have LOVED it! I have 3 young boys, but spending some time doing something I enjoy at the end of the night has been so great!
I’m with you exactly… 3 little ones and a better way to unwind than mindless scrolling and endless shows! I’ve been loving the list too! I couldn’t put “Becoming Mrs Lewis” down 👍💛
Diana I made a commitment this year to read the Bible through and I have been following with the Bible Recap. I love it. I did it partially last year, and then stopped. But this year I started January 1 and have not missed a day. So thank you for introducing me to the Bible Recap. I love Tara Leigh’s Insights. I am also thankful for you and Dawn. After todays video I am making a commitment to start praying more consistently and not just when I need something. I will be printing your attached pages. Thank you again.
Thank you so much Diana I needed this! Tired mom of 2 little kids & small home dweller here. Often I write off this sort off content but you've made these spiritual disciplines realistic and achievable (hmm reminds me of Minimal Mom with simple living!!) I've started the Five days Bible reading plan and SOAP method :) Thanks for all you do, God bless you.
This is wonderful! I've entered a busy season with some family issues. It requires a lot of time on the road and usually alone. I've been listening to the radio but I love the idea of using the time for prayer.
Thank you Diana for the book recommendations. I have been turning to FB to zone out after after a day of homeschooling even though I know it doesn't help me at all.I have downloaded an audiobook from my library to listen too now.Appreciate you taking the time to do this for us.Lord Bless you and your fam. ❣️
I absolutely love all these ways to incorporate communication with God daily! And I appreciate your book list recommendations! You really go above and beyond. I do want to ask though since I've noticed it on a couple of recent videos, could you explain your new silicone ring? I see more people wearing them and just wondered if you had a specific story behind it. I hope you have an amazing day! Lots of love!
Thanks Diana! Very inspiring! My favorite Bible reading system is Grant Horner´s. 10 chapters a day in 10 different parts and when you finish a part you just start over. Takes me less than an hour per day (with marking). Finally all the different books in the Bible show their connections and when I´m reading a certain verse the verses that relate to that (e.g. in the Old Testament) come to mind. It is beautiful and eye opening.
Love all of these tips and encouragement - thank you! I try to thank God for all of the little things throughout the day - nice weather, good parking spots, peace in my home...all the little blessings I see. It keeps my heart grateful and connected.
Getting dressed/ready in the morning is a great time to pray on my spiritual armor for the day (Ephesians 6). I can always tell the days I don't!

M
I'm adding this to my worship playlist. Literally the only speaking video in it, but I need to revisit this often right now
I would love to hear how you used your waiting season, waiting for your husband.
Good grief! What time do you go to bed 😳
@@cherylwebb8340 Hi Cheryl, that’s funny.😂 I normally aim to be in bed by 7:30…notice I said “aim.” Even when I miss, it’s still worth the early morning rising. 😊 Take care.
Excellent tips! Never heard such practical tips for actually working prayer and study into your home and life. Thank you so much❤️
You’re a wonderful teacher.
HAHAHA!
We spend a lot of time on the bathroom/closet… I think that’s brilliant! 👍💛
Thank you so much.. this is God's sent message.. i love the christian fiction reading..i also believe in that, as a way of good escapism from the intimidation of social media.. may God bless you and your family too
I started praying in my car when I take my daughter to daycare based on you saying in another video you pray when you crank up your car.
Loves these rhythms and habits! This goes right along with a book I’m reading that you will love called “Emotionally Healthy Discipleship”.
I just finished reading Becoming Mrs. Lewis that you suggested a few weeks ago on a UA-cam short. I loved that book, thanks for suggesting it.
Thank you for all you do !❤
Awesome… I can’t wait to hear how it goes! 💛
If you haven't seen the movie War Room I highly recommend it.
Liz
Your messages that you share and bring are so encouraging and life giving Diana, thank you.
I pray during UA-cam and gaming commercials. You are such a comforting soul. I learn something new each time I listen to your videos. Thank you!
Diana, I rarely share here (if ever??) but I am so grateful for you. I get tips and tricks for keeping God and His word in my daily routine, and I always love your prayers. I also love listening to your lessons as you teach. Thank you so much!
Thank you for being you!
Also, printables are my favorite 😂
I can hardly wait to print those sheets out!! ♥️
I’m getting my pastor to link me with some women in the church for a Bible study but something is telling me I will lead it and I’m like 🫣
But it’s what the Lord wants so I’m glad to be apart of that if it’s what He wants.
Diana, this is SO GOOD. Thank you for reminding us to be thankful, to be intentional about praying for others, and reading the Word!!
Thanks, Diana. You are a blessing to me. I will be praying for your ministry/channel to grow exponentially! ❤️🇨🇦
This is very helpful Diana. The practical tips are what people need…rather than “you need to pray more”
I like the idea of prompts and even the prayer you said so often that you memorized it.
What a great team you make!😘
Oh my! Diana this was a magnificent teaching! Thank you thank you thank you!
This is a great teaching. Jesus was very practical in his teaching, and this is Christ like.
Diana is a wonderful teacher/preacher/speaker/person. She knows her stuff, cuz Jesus HImself is guiding her.
I love watching your videos. You have a real gift for bringing people closer to God.
Thank you, Diana. You are such an encouragement to me.
Thank you for this devotional! 🤗 I have forwarded the link to my 7 granddaughters! 💕
Such fantastic and practical tips! I found these very helpful this morning to keep myself plugged in! 🔥
The speaker in the shower ! Lol. I have trouble sleeping so i take a relaxing bath at night and listen to your or your sister at that time ! TY, so much good info in this today!
Great video Diana thank you! Where is the link for the fiction books?
I'm learning, for gratitude, it is best to add in your why. Why you are grateful for ___. It seems to get me into a high vibration.
You gave me an idea for my book-thanks! The closet is a place of transition. Love that.
I couldn’t put “Becoming Mrs Lewis” down 👍💛
@@DianaKokku I’ll have to read that one next, thanks! ☺️
Thank you for your beautiful ministry 🙏 ❤️
Thank you so much Diana I needed this! Tired mom of 2 little kids & small home dweller here. Often I write off this sort off content but you've made these spiritual disciplines realistic and achievable (hmm reminds me of Minimal Mom with simple living!!) I've started the Five days Bible reading plan and SOAP method :) Thanks for all you do, God bless you.
Such an amazing tips. Such a great video. God bless you and your family.
Your words are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent tips/ideas!
Much needed
Much appreciated
Thank you!!!
Thank you for your powerful prayer!
Thank you for all your videos Diana!
Good job!!! Love to listen to you. You are inspiring. Thanks.
Wonderful teaching. Very practical!
Thank you!! That was so very encouraging as well as challenging!!
Diana I enjoyed so many of these wonderful prayer ideas! Thank you for being such a blessing!
This is wonderful- you are such a blessing thank you ❤️
And us mothers can also pray this for our children 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Y E S ! ! I’ve already started!! 🙏💛
thank you Diana, I hope you have a lovely day.
I’m really leaning into quiet times in the mornings. He is there all the time waiting for us to notice Him.
Thank you so much for this video! Exactly whst I needed
I have used this before and really enjoyed it. I will definitely use it again when I have more time each day.
Thanks for the great suggestion! I’ll add this to my list 🙏💛
Thank you Diana 💐
