I just saw Tom's video and saw Dawn's last night. My heart is breaking for them and the kids....and for the rest of the family. This is so hard, but we serve an Awesome God, and he is able. He restored our marriage (we celebrated our 66th anniversary in October), I saw him restore another UA-cam couple's marriage, and I've seen others restored. I will continue to pray for them and for restoration. Sending love to you all. ❤
I know you have a busy life and I don't want to make you feel pressured to do more; on the contrary, I want you to have a lovely, balanced, happy life! But I also want you to know that these videos are so very meaningful and refreshing and powerful in my life, and I really miss you when you're not around. It was lovely to see you today. I hope you have a happy week.
I really appreciate this! It has been one sickness after another around here… but I’m hopeful we’re back on track! Thank you for the kind encouragement… I miss you too!! 🙏💛
Yes please. I saw Tom's video today and I realy hope he can feel our arms wrapped around him too, just as I do with Dawn. I wish them wisdom, faith and stenght to cope with everything that is hapling in their and their kids live. And ofcourse my prayers are for them and the whole family of Dawn and Tom.❤
This is Golden!! Thank you, Diana for all these gold nuggets to learn God’s truth. My Bestie and I are going through The Bible Recap. She saw it in her local Bible Book Store and asked me about it. I remembered you and Dawn giving it a great review so we started it and are learning so much on our journey through the Bible. Keep up the great work. Your awesome 🎉
Diana, your teaching is terrific. My impression is that someone doesn't even need a faith background to comprehend what you explain and weigh it for themselves. I'm not an amphitheater/laser-show Christian, and I appreciate that you understand your subject matter.
I have really enjoyed your planner and reading plan-ordered it this year. I journal with SOAP every day and it has helped me so much. I started in November, and I feel like it is healing my brain. I used to study the Bible all the time, but after several health challenges I had trouble focusing and haven’t like I used to for the past probably 4 years. The daily consistency and the specificity of SOAP has really helped me. I am doing so much better at focus and my overall thought life. Thank you! Chat GPT- it is such a great Bible study tool. For example, I told it to give me a 3-column table - a list of healings in the Old Testament. First column scripture reference, 2nd column the person healed, 3rd column a short summary. Wow…now I have a great tool to use as I go through the Bible studying each example. It is also really helpful in finding activities to use with a Youth Group I help teach. I had it make me an Escape Room activity with four challenges for Acts 16. It was great! Thank you for all you do. I found you through Dawn, I am a member of her group. Love and appreciate you both! ❤.
Thank you for all the support in helping me better engage in both my bible and my prayers P.s. I would love to see you have Dawn over for a declutter with little ones
In 2020, I did The Bible Recap with Tara Leigh Cobble (podcast). It was the first time I was able to stick with reading through the entire Bible! Each day takes less than 10 min. & she gives good references almost daily for a deeper dive. Now with your Bible reading plan calendar, referring back to the podcast is very helpful for context, references, etc.
Me, too! And I recently treated myself to the Bible Recap book, the teal green leather one. I loved listening to Tara Leigh, and now I love reading the same things from the book. Great resource.
Thank you for standing on what is right and truthful. I appreciate you for being straightforward and not pretending to be someone you are not. May God bless you for having an obedient heart
Yes! Context is so important. I was guilty of choosing passages that suited me, but then I learned how to really study, thanks to encouraging pastors such as you. ❤
Thank you for this video! My new session of Bible study is starting and I am excited to dig into the word again with a community. I find Chat GPT provides many citations for the scriptures to back up the answers it gives and that is my new favorite place to ask scripture questions also! I also found your channel from Dawn’s and she helped me organize my house and you help me organize my heart. Praying for all of you during this time! ❤
I started doing The Bible Recap in the fall. In January a friend from church started a FB group so many of us are doing the plan and can chat about what the Lord taught us or revealed about Himself ❤.
I find that being in a local Bible study “forces” me to pray, do my lesson and reflect. I’m still struggling to read the Bible through. I will use your tools. Love to your family during this difficult time. I’m praying for Dawn and Tom and the kids.
Context is king! It's important to understand the context of the culture in which scripture was written (like Peter putting on his coat to go greet Jesus). My new favorite tool is my James Method verse mapping journal. It forces me to slow down and really dig into God's word and reflect on it. I look at several translations of the verse I'm studying as well as the cross references for said verse. To understand the vocabulary in a particular verse, I look up the key words in my Word Study books by Spiros Zodhiates. There is one for OT words and one for NT words (Hebrew and Greek respectively). There is also a part for recording what I learn about God and what I learn about myself/mankind.
Yay for this video. I get excited when I see a blue dot by your picture. Thanks for the great reminder that bible time is friend time with our Lord and Savior. Got to pursue that relationship .
I'm studying 3 different Bible related books right now. Its kinda fun. So sorry about your sister and Tom. I was married 27 years, with 5 kids. Divorce hurts all. I still can't understand how my ex husband couldn't let go of anger. I've always had faith that God can take care of anything, and fix it. I'm praying for all! 🙏💜
I love how you explained the scriptures in Matthew. When you reframe commonly quoted scripture in the correct context, they actually become more powerful.
My prayers are for Tom and Dawn. I am a divorced woman as well and I know it is a struggle as a Christian. I pray that God works through them because all things work for good for those who believe in Jesus Christ.❣️🙏🏼
Does reading the Bible on You version count? I have been doing the daily refresh for 61 weeks straight but only this year started to do a chapter a day in the Bible. I started to read Matthew, but it started to sadden me, so i started to read the Psalms. Do you have a video that goes over where exactly to start? I want to understand what i read so I do only 1 chapter a day so I can re-read it till I "get it". Thanks for the references in this video. I know they will help greatly.❤️
The only way I can stay focused to study is to come with a specific question, problem or struggle I'm facing in my life. Even if I don't get it resolved, I always find comfort and counsel in my study ❤️ I use the Gospel Library app when I'm on the go or want to search something, otherwise paper journaling scriptures are my fav :)
I too often play Bible Roulette…”hmm what does God want to show me today?” (Then flips quickly through and stops to point at the “lucky passage of the day.” 😂. Thanks for the tips!
I feel so confused & hurt after watching Dawn & Tom's videos (Tom's is gone now 😢). 2-3 months of smiles & same old same old, while the divorce was already final.
I am praying for Dawn and Tom marriage is meant to be forever i hope the good Lord will help them get past their differences and figure out a way to make it work and be able to live with Gods peace on their lives i love all of you i can't believe how much this has affected me i have never spoke to any of you in person but it has made me just cry and cry i feel so bad for them!!
It’s amazing how we can feel close to a UA-camr and feel for them so much I also cried and couldn’t sleep for 2 days I pray for all of you ,I also think if your a Christian we also feel that connection as they are Christian also Thank you diana
Diana you are a lovely lady ❤ I agree you must read the Bible in context. Reading through a number of commentaries on Matthew 18… I see it is saying this is the last option after all other options have been tried-to put them outside the church fellowship due to an unrepentant heart. A number of commentaries express this-putting out from the fellowship in hopes they will see the error of their ways & repent to be able to come back into the fold. “The idea is not merely to punish the offender, or to shun him completely, but to remove him as a detrimental influence from the fellowship of the church, and then to regard him as an evangelistic prospect rather than a brother. Ultimately, the sin for which he is excommunicated is a hard-hearted impenitence.” It is in hope he will see the error of his ways & come back to the Lord.

Thank you so much, this means the world 🥹
Me too. I never realized how much I looked up to them. Restoration in this marriage. They belong together, and everyone can see that.
Amen! We are, too!
Thinking of your sweet sister and family. She is blessed to have you and your parents as support.
Thank you for your loving support 💛
Love you ♥️Take good care of Dawn♥️✝️🙏🏻
Thank you, Diana 💜

Great video! Thank you for your excellent content.

I was just about to say this!!! 😂
Doing the Bible recap
I thought I was the only one that used chat gtp for Bible study. Praying for Tom and Dawn❤
What do you recommend for a Bible dictionary? I just checked out vine’s expository dictionary and wasn’t impressed. Not a lot of info.
A Hebrew and Greek interlinear is recommended. It uses the original languages to better explain Biblical phrases, words, culture and Truth.
Besides Bible ref and got questions what other tools do you enjoy?
