That 1st safe was pretty amazing.. as you own everything in that container, you should have hired a professional lock smith to open both safes as you don’t what your destroying.
Rich or not. That safe looked pretty amazing! For all you know it could have been 1 of a small amount of someone famous. Or had some necklaces that are worth much less in bits.
Then as Paddy and Eddie looked at the beat up old safe, and then back at each other, they realized the real treasure they uncovered that day, was friendship. ❤
As a coin collector those gold coins could be worth a lot more depending on their rarity and collecting ability, get them graded by a reputable grading service. You might find that they're worth more than the gold value. Great video my friend.
Ye they could be worth quite abit depending on the grade and rarity for sure. Like there is American gold coins worth like 100 -200 grand. Lots of stuff depends on wich year they are from, and how many where acculy minted. Then we got another kind of coin collectors that collect errors and all kinds of shit aswell.
That old safe, at auction in Canada... approximately $750.00 -$4000.00, and I've seen some blow over the 10k mark. The one I bought started at $150 & ultimately ended up costing me $1700.00. I sold it for over three times that amount, to a collector in Toronto. She sold it & shipped it to a gentleman in Vancouver, for an undisclosed amount. I suspect it was well over $10,000.00. It wasn't in as good a condition as your safe was. I'm afraid you made a very costly mistake. I hope you can make up for it next time. L
Depends really.. ive seen similar 300 or less, god knows how the valuation works on those old safes ive seen some sell alot more, either way I'd guess it was about entertainment, shame though those old safes are great to refurb!
I'll hope against hope they googled them off screen and decided there'd be more value in creating content by destroying them than paying a pro to pick the locks and sell them off.😅
The car alone could be auctioned for much more if your willing to wait. The tip was it was an antique dealer yet they destroyed the most antique thing there aka the safe.
Meh antique safes don't go for a ton of money. Some by famous brands can be a few grand but you'd be looking at less than a grand each if they aren't anything special. The cost of a locksmith to come out and pick them instead of drilling would be fairly pricey since there's not a lot of real safe lockpickers about. Plus, less video content Just looked it up - They are george titterton safes, nothing special. Similar sized ones from 1900 sell at auction for ~£100 for the smaller one and ~£200 for the larger one
@@TriMarko Right, in most cases it cost more to call in a professional to crack it safely as to not ruin what's inside, but the safe is still rendered useless in the process as it usually involves drilling
Hope there is a follow up with what everything ended up going for. The empty container itself probably had some value as well. Can't imagine a shipping company would turn that down.
I think the smartest thing to do when it came to those safes would have been to hire a locksmith and at least try and salvage the safes as well! Some of those old ones can sell for a nice profit. However… Eddies way was much more entertaining for sure!!! lol keep those videos coming Beast!

Very nice catch, boys! Did you 2 fellas even factor in the proceeds for the 40' shipping container into reconciling the profits? Here in the U.S., a forty in decent, seaworthy shape will easily fetch $4,000 USD, perhaps more depending on location in proximity to a port city or intermodal hub. Apart from the complete set up of knocking the vase off, i enjoyed that video. Congrats on the Bentley. Plus shouldnt underestimate the value in books or the value of the safe itself.
So you thought the knocking of the vase was a setup but believed that the container was an old man's. Been sat for 10 years but looked brand new. Has the normal padlocks but needed 10 metres of additional chain. No dust not mould no rot. Come on its a made for youtube video
That kind of misses the point to be fair. Driving tanks and pile drivers and generally dicking about is what made it entertaining. The same reason we watch grand tour and we used to watch top gear!! Couple of working class blokes who suddenly realise they have enough money to do whatever they like and have a laugh doing it.
All that "dirt and dust" in the safe is actually probably meant to go the smelter. Jewelers create a lot of gold dust as they are sawing and filing material, and it is common practice to collect and save that dust to send it to the smelter. That "dirt" can be worth it's weight in gold, literally! Jewelers typically keep rugs under their stations to capture the shavings and then vacuum them up, save what the vacuum collects, and after they have accumulated enough send that and even the carpet itself to the smelter. You can get ounces of precious metal back from stuff that looks like plain dirt.
@@Mt2pserverGplays I was going to say something similar, the only thing I would add is also for helping with fire damage prevention to whatever is inside. They joked about asbestos, but it is actually quite likely it did have some in those safes especially depending on the age of them
My thoughts too. The dirt will be the sweepings from under the jewellers desk. When they collect so much, they send it off to be melted down. You can even see its gold colour when he kicks it. Probably more gold in that than all the coins!
This whole video is staged. The car clearly hadn't been in storage for ten years. The plates had been conveniently removed to hide the fact that is likely taxed and MOT'd. If you think this whole video is genuine, you are sorely mistaken 😂
@Rich.Saluni car tyres were full and it started first time of asking with an old battery. Also there was no mold in the car. I had a car in a container like this for 6 months and the leather seats were covered in mold.

For anyone thinking on storing anything long time in the shipping container like this, i highly suggest you ether get dehumidifier or very least put few bags of crystal cat litter in the container as well. That cat litter will pull moisture out of the container and things wont mold as easy. Cat litter can absorb air moisture over time and you can reuse it by heating it to evaporate moisture from the material. To check the material, how about going to drift store to get a sieve to filter the dirt trough, or how about calling a locksmith.. he could have gone into those with out wrecking them and one of those sell pretty penny, specially the old ones. Your head, not your muscles, but when you have money to waste like that guess it does not matter... Also when you find vehicle like this in storage that has sit long long time, dont even ATTEMPT to start it. You first drain the old fuel out, replace the battery, check the cylinders and fuel lines, check the brakes and replace the brake fluid since it has to have pulled all the moisture into it and in general for any leaks, check the oil and coolant, REPLACE THE TIMING BELT and then you can start trying to get it running. Trying to start it could cause old timing belt to snap and now you have lovely vehicle with wrecked engine and need to do full rebuild. His fucking lucky belt didnt snap or chain tensioner didnt fail. Not going to check witch it has but in general that is very much possibility. If belt is 5 years old even if it was just replaced before putting in storage, replace it and while at it might as well replace belt tensioner. Also diamonds are worthless, just artificially made valuable by one company owning 90% of world diamonds and very slowly releasing them.
Diamonds are not worthless. This is one of the stupidest, most annoying “facts” that I see people spouting when they have no idea what they’re on about.

It weighed 3,600 lbs and I had a Mosler safe expert change the combination. He asked me what I paid for it and I said I got it for taking it out of the wall doorway. He opened his book and showed me suggested used price was $25,000. After I caught my breath in disbelief he had several books showing about the same price so I had him put new bearings in the hinges to make the door glide open easily. For $2,500 I could convert it to biometric fingers recognition. Maybe later.

Stfu about the safe😂
You people are drama queen cry babies
Meh antique safes don't go for a ton of money. Some by famous brands can be a few grand but you'd be looking at less than a grand each if they aren't anything special. The cost of a locksmith to come out and pick them instead of drilling would be fairly pricey since there's not a lot of real safe lockpickers about. Plus, less video content
Just looked it up - They are george titterton safes, nothing special. Similar sized ones from 1900 sell at auction for ~£100 for the smaller one and ~£200 for the larger one

@@TURNBULL22 Clarkson went to private schools, thanks to Paddington Bear, that's a funny story.
