Watch as an F-15e chasing the F-22 Raptor!
26th April saw the US Air Force’s stealth fighter, the F22 ‘Raptor’ visit the Machynlleth loop in North Wales for the very first time!
In North Wales there’s a famous U.K. military air training range - technically, Low Flying Area 7 - part of it is known as the Machynlleth Loop.
And now there’s a new guest star-a USAF F-22 Raptor stealth fighter from the 95th Fighter Squadron based at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. The 95th Fighter Squadron sent four F-22s to Europe in April as part of the Pentagon’s effort to bolster NATO defenses amid increased tensions with Russia. F-22s deployed to Europe for the first time in late 2015.

@@fcuagency2163 Take your meds.
I’ve seen them a few times here in America at air shows and it’s always insane. I’ll never forget the first time I saw one take off if afterburner right into a max performance climb followed by one of those crazy maneuvers only jets with thrust vectoring can pull off. It’s almost scary the first time you see it because it looks so unnatural for a high performance jet to come to an almost full stop in the air and then change directions. You think it just stalled and is about to burn in but then it just drops the nose and it’s off again. Bad ass.
Perfect description. That's exactly it and it's totally memorable
Indeed. Only someone with a truly sophisticated knowledge of aerodynamics can understand how the Raptor doesn't actually break any of the laws, but knows that it goes right up to the lines. It is awe-inspiring.

There's (at least) one other ground-hugging route I learned of in Scotland. I was touring by train and someone in my coach mentioned that the RAF practiced low flying in the area. Backing him up on that a few minutes later, two Tornadoes came screaming through the valley a a couple of minutes apart. The noise was unbelievable, and just filled the train with the roar of their engines for a few moments.
I’ve had the same experience a couple of years ago! Not in the train but walking in the mountains/hills over there

It is so great to see Raptors in the wild like this. How majestic!
That is awesome! I'm a Marine. When I was on active duty I used to sit and marvel at the F-18s that would fly low and fast over us. So jealous, I wished so bad that I had the eyesight for that. Being a fighter pilot is still the best job I can imagine. You fly the fastest aircrafts around and your job is literally to blow things up. What could be better than that?
AND - should you survive - back home for tea and biscuits in the regimental mess each day. AND - you get all the girls (was it weird I went for tea and biscuits before the girls? Hmmm...Nah - gotta keep your strength up for the ladies!).
When you're promised an F-22 run but then get a bonus F-15 pass as well... that's a good day!
God damn that Strike Eagle was a beauty.
I was in the air force 2014-2020 and I was SF my job was to provide security for these beauties. Sometime I would just stare at them for hours. Such elegant machines.
Thank you. Brings back fond memories of my NAVY time 85/96 and working with F-14 Tomcat jets during Radar Tracking ops in the IO. When they pass you at 500MPH you remember that Forever. And you Feel it in your whole body straight down to your feet.
I know its not original but the F22 is my favourite jet of all time, was also shocked at how big it is.
F22: I am finesse and dangerous.
F15: Let me show your goofy ass how to do this!
The Raptor is so graceful and effortless, it's hauling at 700kt and looks like a gentle stroll down the lane; no shake, no rattle, no blower. The Eagle is definitely trying, but still makes it look pretty easy, and it's definitely a meaner looking beast.
its way below mach 1
I don't care what ANYBODY says, those F-15's make a sound like nothing I've ever heard and is YET STILL a "BEAST"!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾👌🏾👍🏾❤💯
Yes F-15 is the besy 168 wins 1 lost exelent result, no one else have so good win ration from all world aircrafts 🙂
Haven't had the chance to hear the f22 or f35 live, but I will never forget when I heard two f-15s taking off from St Louis airport. I still get chills when I think of it.
@petrithysaj4529 Yes it does and fortunately I've had the chance to hear and see the F-22's and F-35's right here in Montgomery, AL. Let me say this, the F-15 had a sound like none other buy, the other two I mention sound UNBELIEVABLE too and they are LOUD! 😆 Also, it SIMPLY amazes me to see these things in flight because one would say that an aircraft ISN'T supposed to be able to do the things these two birds of war do!!!😲🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤣🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
Oh I agree absolutely, but I think that the F22 is simply majestic and other warplanes stand no chance against it. Maybe that's why they stopped producing it because there's simply no opponent for it for the foreseeable future, but I may be wrong here. @@orlandoengland9184
F-22 showing off, then an F-15 Eagle shows up. Wish I was there as well. Wearing ear protection is still up in the air
Yes, it would of been great to see them firsthand.
It wasn't a normal F-15, it was the two seat F-15E Strike Eagle multirole fighter bomber variant.
I liked the F15E more. Glad you noticed it too!
That F-15 showed up the F-22. Nothing more impressive than an Eagle.
Noo, no ear protection.
I remember sitting with my wife on a hillside in the Burgundy region of France watching this war jet fly near us for about 30 minutes by and forth. The most amazing experience.
That f15 comes in heavy! Love it!
Thx for being there!

Ex F-15 mechanic. Love seeing both of these remarkable aircraft. Miss my days on the flightline maintaining one of the most beautiful aircraft ever flown.
You were a f15/f22 mechanic? You ever work on the f15 silent eagle? Those hidden missles just make the f15 look so much better.
If only speakers could translate the sounds of the F-15. It is so powerful.
I like how the F-15 at the end is just lurking like: “104-0 bro, what are you?”

I lived on the South Llano river in Texas and it's extremely remote. The house sat about 60ft above the river valley.
I was sitting on the back porch enjoying the view when 3 F-22's came screaming by at eye level.
I of course missed the first one since it was gone before I heard it but caught the next two. They were around 75 yards away from my porch.
Never saw them before or again but man that was a treat to see and hear!!!

As a proud UA-cam consumer, it truly is an honor to see this video of a jet. It makes me nostalgic for a time where I once watched many other UA-cam videos of similar jets. Absolutely love it
Gosh Elwyn I wish you can stuff me in your camera bag.... 😉This place is on my bucket list and one day I'll get there but in the meantime I'll watch your videos. Ty for all you do.

God damn, the agility on these machines is incredible.
Ive seen an F-22 flip 180 degrees in midflight like a leaf falling from a tree god only knows how the pilot stayed conscious.
The sound of that F-15! I saw one at an air show once and it was just amazing. Super impressive!
That’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Always love the howl of the f15 engines...so distinctive. 👍
An interesting article written by USAF back in 2007 stated the F-22 had 20,000 lbs more thrust than an F-15....:)
It has, but it's 8 tons heavier than F-15 so Thrust to weight ratio is about the same.
@@Nikola16789 I did a quick check on the specs of each. F-15 empty weight 45,000 lbs. Empty weight of the F-22 43, 040...Composites ?
@@Nikola16789 That Raptor weight might be from before upgrades. Various sites vary wildly on both aircraft weights. Pilot reports, mostly on F-16. net say the Raptor outperforms the F-15 in every aspect of the flight envelop on military power alone. I've been watching a ton of these jet videos over the past few days. This is way cooler than being an astronaut in my opinion.
Eh, yea these things are cool and the guys that can drive them this well are badass but. Lots of other jobs can give you an adrenaline rush and they are not nearly as dangerous as flying

Loved holidays near the Mac Loop as a kid hearing and watching the Jets fly over all the time.
Imagine being someone from an earlier point in technological history, standing on this hill watching this. These planes would be quite scary, I would think.
When you see them for real they're pretty scary now
Enter ancient aliens 😂
I am from an earlier technological point in time. Best ever was our dad screeching to a halt on the road at RAF Scampton? Coningsby? Ordering us out of the car, to lie down face up near the fence and experience the four engine scream and sight of 1950s built Vulcans dropping slowly onto the runway.
When they make the turn it's almost like they're drifting the airplane.
F15 just sounds different 😍
THAT F-15 STRIKE EAGLE AT THE END THO! 1😮
This brings back memories of Novalogic's F22 Lightning. Flying low through some random canyon while completely ignoring the mission objective. Good times.
I played that game as well. Good old memories.
Me too! Had to upgrade my PC to a Pentium 3 but I got it running so I could fly my favorite plane.
Indeed I flew in Lightning 3 as well good sht.. even joined a squad and flew with them a while.. good times..I miss it

That F-15 is a dinosaur compared to the F-22.
Maybe it’s just me but the F22 lives up to the Raptor name. It really does look like a predator stalking the skies.
F22: (Makes crispy sounds)
That F15 in the end: (howling intensifies)
Incredible how these things slice through air the way they do!
F-22 goes by: “Yeah, cool... thrust vectoring and stuff, that’s neat.”
F-15 at the end: “Yeah! Old stuff!”
(I know they’re not that old, but nobody flies F-4’s anymore)
actually, a bunch still do, Korea, Iran, Greece, and Turkey still use them, some of them have been modernised heaily aswelll
Allah Gaming Interesting, I was under the impression that Japan was the last country to retire them.
Iran uses F4s still iirc

Id be willing to bet the F-22 (first plane) was fully loaded as well, it uses internal bays unlike the F-15. To give the F-15 credit though it did also have external fuel tanks but in general the F-22 is from my understanding designed to be significantly more manuverable
