CBDC is a welcome and timely step by RBI. It will take sometime to be mainstream but we are on track. There is no need as of now to talk about super powers of CBDC except the reduction in remittance time and cost as well as being free of settlement system in domestic area. Other benefits will follow in due course. Over a period of next 5 to 10 years, we shall realize the full fledged CBDC with all its benefits.

Thanks for bringing out this much important content. India needs an able Govt like today for next 10-15years at least to see ourselves as a global power.
The intention is clearly to develop a system that is self reliant, made and owned by India, so that we are not held to ransom. IF That is going to replace something else, so be it. But destroying somebody else's "swift" was never the intention.

In hands of good govt this is blessing and in hands of corrupt govt this system is a weapon. Through this system Govt can get access to all you financial transactions and records. Don’t. You don’t know what’s going on in this world. He’s explaining the sugar coated version of cbdc. Not the reality what it is going to do to you when you hit your 30s.
@@draviaartistwithbat5756 centralised digital currency isn’t crypto or Bitcoin. It is a programable money meaning government can program your money as they want. The currency cancellation was a pretext to introduce cbdc. For that everyone needed to be on a digital platform (banks ) that’s what currency cancellation did. 92% Indian population were using cash but now 96% using paytm and has got a bank account. Once fully implemented (the individual retail cbdc ) you will never be able to go back to any other payment system. Government will or can put a cap on the amount of money you save , use on entertainment, can tax based on your income and usage of it. They can even turn it off at will. Eg: if you post against gov (doesn’t matter who’s in power ) in social media you are out of money for weeks or hefty fines etc. do your due diligence and learn yourself. Like he says there isn’t any race to “crack the code of cbdc “ 😂. 180 countries are on the process to start this India is one of the 1st after China. USA in July 2023 Australia Canada etc in few months. In a nut shell they will take all your freedom in 10-15 years which you are taking so granted for now.
Excellent video, I personally think the decentralized clearing system is the most efficient and promising. Black money GDP in India is almost equal to official GDP, if this can be solved using CBDC, it would be a game changer.
Having lived in Canada the past 4 years, I can proudly say that the digital infrastructure here is at least a generation behind India. A simple money transfer from person 1 to person 2 here involves sending an email with a secret question. To bring something like UPI transactions in India, canada will take another 2 decades.
India will benefit from CBDC currency more than China would benefit from it. This is because in China everyone has been using digital payments for many many years. So moving to CBDC is not such a big deal. It improves things for the govt. But for the normal citizens, nothing is changed. However in India, most people use physical currency. So moving to CBDC is a HUGE step in improvements.
U r correct since 20 yrs back...now our digital transactions surpassed USA & China...just Google & update your knowledge...& i suggest u to update your knowledge first & forward your any comments if any
@@sathyanarayana887 Relax, I'm not making a statement against India. Ok, I'll do a comparison, and please free to correct me if I'm wrong. (1) In China, no-one carries cash. That's a fact. But I guess most people in India has physical cash in their pockets. Am I right? (2) In China, most young teenagers have NEVER used physical cash in their entire lives. I'm guessing your kids in school carry cash. Yes? (3) In china, if you are a tourist, and you go to a non- touristy place, sometimes shops don't even have the correct change to give you if you buy things. That's because locals don't use cash. And if a place has no tourists, shops have no use carrying cash. I guess shops in non- touristy places in India all have cash change when you buy things. Yes?
It's weird why you didn't go into the drawbacks and concerns. For example the government literally tracking and having access to all transactions and being able to lock anyone out of the system at a moments notice.
@@gadar6439 heck even Canada tried to block payments during truckers protest and that's a democracy when we have banks as intermediary with cbdc's the government can control the protestors and their money with just one click of a button. You can't criticize the government even if they're wrong or they'll literally vanish your money coz it's all digital and centralised

CBDC might be interesting. But ultimately it's bitcoin that will have clout. It's not centralised, public, very hard to hack, runs to a good extent on renewable energy, global.
The whole problem starts with regulations. If there is no one to back Bitcoin (or as a matter of fact any other crypto currency) it becomes completely useless. At the least, useless as compared to full fledged fiat currency backed by any govt.
Modi is a blessing for India. ❤️ I only wish we had someone like him from the 70's. Our lives would be much better. Oh well, people deserve the leaders they elect. Only the new generation of India deserves a dynamic leader.
They are massive disadvantages that come with CBDC. And I believe it's important for you to explain this issue in another video. This initiative was not founded on the basis of protecting citizens but rather tighten control of the masses.it will become apparent, because government will have enormous powers to do exactly what they want at any given time. Why! Because they can exclude you from all economic activities altogether indefinitely if you do not do what they want. And that is maybe a price we have to pay unfortunately.

Indian Rupee is not pegged with Gold as described in @2:39. It is a fiat currency and floats with the market.
He said “Digital currency is similar to physical currency issued by central bank and is not backed by Gold or Siver”
Writing this comment while watching your video. Firstly a big thank you for putting up such knowledgeable videos and making them in a way even a layman can understand. Ever since I have started watching your videos.. geopolitics has become one of my favourites. A huge thank you @ThinkSchool 🙏🏻😀

Hello my guide,
Torch bearer of my knowledge. With BJP in power we are seeing drastic changes in development.
Dear Left liberals may shout as they feel BJP is for Hindu but first accept the fact that the government has to answer the outer world in terms of innovation, technology and development.
Please make videos on why western media hates India 🇮🇳🇮🇳 please sir in English channel
You have an excellent skill in communicating tough macro economics to ordinary consumers. Richly deserve appreciation
I was part of one such CBDC experiment.
I would suggest to cover the risks involved like bank run, key loss - in case you make another video @Thinkschool
Just brilliant explanation as always...Think school never disappoints subscribers..amazing:)
I feel very proud when I see quality in Indian products. Think School is one such product. It's a great manifestation of MAKE in INDIA. Think School make informative society. Keep it up. Jai Hind.
PS: i seee each of your videos and don't comment always. There are many who wait for your videos without informing you in comment section. Keep at it my friend.
Mind blowing explanation if this channel was ter while I was in my school days i would have taken commerce group
Yeah it can because Russia is also developing something similar so I guess it's a coordinated approach between different countries and this isn't something developed in the last hour
And how it enslaves you
Unless it continues to remain free.. already they are thinking of charging for UPI..
on this basis of crypto tech & our ancient coin system i had written in my book “ sakshat-vigyan”& also suggestion given to our beloved PM having potential to enhance indian economy worldwide & surprised that pmo is thinking over
they had dimand reaction from rbi also
We are so lucky to see this much boom in every sector.
In the age of useless trends and reels , here is this channel with one of the best contents!
I think that it can help international trade too, especially when we have said that they can make payments in INR instead of USD
Simply gr8. I had never understood the concept of digital INR till now, although heard about it so often & it was more like" the in_thingto say" without saying anything. Well explained Ganesh and thanks a million for pulling the mask away from this mystery product. Thanks again for the wonderful clip. 👍🙏
one thing i can say abt this present govt is that if we look practically they r truley trying to change INDIA yeah some work some dont
This helped me to do my presentation... THANK YOU !!!
Hey man! You've such deep, genuine knowledge of every topic that you make video on. It reflects in the quality of your content.
And the study material part is highly commendable.
Do you gargle Garg?
Thanks for bringing out this much important content.
India needs an able Govt like today for next 10-15years at least to see ourselves as a global power.
The intention is clearly to develop a system that is self reliant, made and owned by India, so that we are not held to ransom. IF That is going to replace something else, so be it. But destroying somebody else's "swift" was never the intention.
Best explainatory video regarding CBDC on the internet
Hats off to your work sir
Always waiting for such exciting educational new videos , just subscribed a few weeks back.☺️

Eagerly waiting for the Video, 90 min ahead of 8 om Anxiety much more than the trailer launch of big ones. It clearly tells what a content video you are posting.

Excellent Enterprising Extraordinary Emerging Evolving Economic and Financial Endeavor 💐🤝🙏
In hands of good govt this is blessing and in hands of corrupt govt this system is a weapon. Through this system Govt can get access to all you financial transactions and records. If you speak against govt, they can put restrictions on your financial transaction and ability to take debt, which exactly what Chinese govt is doing. We should not blindly obey whatever govt tells us to do. We always have to be vigilant.

Perfection!👏👏👍👍👍
Intoducing CBDC will also reduce the case of printing and using fake currency drastically
@soumya but what about govt knowing every single one of your transactions? And they can disconnect your account whenever they want if you go against govt.

Don’t. You don’t know what’s going on in this world. He’s explaining the sugar coated version of cbdc. Not the reality what it is going to do to you when you hit your 30s.
@@dragonfly1894 Can you please educate us on what it is going to do to us in the next 10-15 year?
@@dragonfly1894 exactly 💯 but I feel crypto will be there to save the day
Very cool explanation . Hats off . Salute
Excellent presentation. I haven't come across any other video which decodes/explains our latest Indian CBDC so we'll! HATS OFF!
U are ultimate bro... I not good at these areas but u r making them so simple to understand ❤❤
We are heading towards disaster as per common man
People in india have become familiar with upi
U r correct since 20 yrs back...now our digital transactions surpassed USA & China...just Google & update your knowledge...& i suggest u to update your knowledge first & forward your any comments if any
@@athribhat2243 How?
Yes?
You are right your presentation is very accurate
It's weird why you didn't go into the drawbacks and concerns. For example the government literally tracking and having access to all transactions and being able to lock anyone out of the system at a moments notice.
That are exception
And one of the most important pros are that that’s how you control terrorism and crime. Nothing to worry if you ain’t a criminal.
@@gadar6439 you certainly don't know what's happening in China
@@gadar6439 heck even Canada tried to block payments during truckers protest and that's a democracy when we have banks as intermediary with cbdc's the government can control the protestors and their money with just one click of a button. You can't criticize the government even if they're wrong or they'll literally vanish your money coz it's all digital and centralised
Please make a video on Singapore's Economic Success 🇸🇬. An island country in one generation went from a developing to a developed economy.
I love the frequency of releasing new videos 🤘🏻🤘🏻 it takes a lot to release a new video every 4-5th day n that too with maintained quality of content!! Nice work 👌🏻👌🏻❤
Nice point
Government should use cbdc in all government schemes and contracts to track money they use
This
Modi is a blessing for India. ❤️
I only wish we had someone like him from the 70's.
Yeh Dil maange more. Keep them coming. 🙂
We are very very thankful for your effort to educate us.
I saw some news on cbdc and knew about it, but your video taught me much more deeper.
Thanks

Ganesh bhai....it's a genuine request to please make a video on petroyuan and it's impact on India and the global economy
Very nice article. But I believe this is more relevant for the cbdc retail which is yet to be launched. Also wouldn’t this disintermediate the banks from the financial system which in turn will increase systemic risk on rbi itself. Banks also help create money supply by giving loans which the rbi will be unable to fulfill. Just my thoughts
Your videos are out of this world. I keep waiting for your new videos always. I wish you best of luck.

Is Individual transfer of digital rupee dependent on mobile apps ?
