Love the quilt, love the concept of Quilts of Valor, love your blessing request, and love those who served and now serve. Thank you, on so many levels!
Thank you so much! The dog is 13.5 years and follows me everywhere. You can often hear her in the background panting but we won’t have her much longer so I let her hang out with me as much as she wants.
Thank you for all of the information you have provided on the QOV. I have been wanting to make one for my cousin who was honorably and medically discharged from the Army after being injured in Afghanistan. Thank you for sharing! ❤
I wasn’t following a pattern. It was one my mom put together. But here is a link to the Star block pattern. It’s called a Friendship Star and there are several online sites that offer a free pattern besides this one. sewcanshe.com/how-to-sew-a-friendship-star-quilt-block-free-pattern/ Hope this helps.
I had never heard of Quilts of Valor until my cousin received one. Whoever receives this quilt should be very proud of it. 👍🏻
Thank you. It is a wonderful organization

My favorite. Steve has a Quilt of Valor that his cousin's wife made for him and it's a treasure.
They are even more special when made by a loved one!

Then you’re a certified Texan! Lubbock has my favorite quilt shop, The Sewing Center. I make excuses to take a trip up there.
