I enjoyed your first video and look forward to your next one. I have started so many projects and a dozen or more that I can't wait to begin. I keep telling myself I need to finish the ones I started.
New subscriber, new Quilter too, I'm on a small square dinning table, with an old sewing machine, looking forward to learning and trying to make a quilt, for my daughter xx
How exciting - how old is she? Quilts for daughters are special I think. I've just given mine the Carpenters Star and she's already requested another one!!!
saw your beginners quilting video on Lovecrafts and I love your vibe! Subscribed and I'm hoping to make my first quilt this week - so please keep making beginners videos, I definitely need them!
Have you got a wip wednesday or something like it set up? Could you finish 1 a month, or maybe 2 per year? Be honest with yourself, the quilt pllice don't need to know. Set your sights lower, you may surprise yourself? Do you make small gifts between big quilts? That keeps the "I did it" buzz going? Do you use leaders and enders, so you can do the last few blocks, in between seams, while you get your current project done, with the same cotton colour? Or is it easier to put in 10 mins on a wip, each day or so you eventually get there? Have you got stacked design boards like Lori Holt? Ready to grab and get on with when you have a bit of time? Do you list the steps, so you can do the next one, tick it off and put it away neatly for next time? Do you fill multiple bobbins, before you start. Do you have a list of wips, you have everything to finish off with, pieces all cut, that you want to finish off first? 1 of the oldest? The most interesting, the near to done? One for a friend? Can you remember them all? Or do you want to clear one shelf at a time? Completely up to you. Do you make pillow cases or storage bags, for cut out quilts, and all bits, until done, then sent off to be used with them. Do you make fat quarter storage bags for projects, that fit the fabric, pattern etc. to keep it together, until you start it? Or do you have flat plastic bins? How much you want to get organised is completely up to you too, it may help or be a total waste of time. Have you heard of potato chip blocks, made from bricks of scraps? Great leader ender idea for easy blocks and quick finishes? Do you web piece, so things don't get lost once you have to stop, until next time. Do you want to make small handy things with a project's scraps once you are done, so they don't end up in a bin? All the best, don't keep thinking on it if you think it's not your thing.
Your sewing space looks too neat !!! lol 😂
Excited to find your channel. Rough and ready…best way to do them!
Thank you for joining us. Yup exactly, although you don't need the endless minutes of me staring at the camera thinking what to say 😂
I LOVE starting new quilt tops before I finish the one I’m working on 🤣🤣 The fabric just speaks to me, telling me what I need to do 🤷♀️🇬🇧
It's a problem I suffer with as well. Hence all the unfinished projects. Too many ideas and not enough time 😂
Looking forward to seeing what's next!
You and me both !! Heheheh x

A lot of quilters are great starters. I include myself. There are so many different quilts we want to make. Will we ever get to them all?
There is just so much choice isn't there? And I really do not need any more quilts - the house is full of them! Thank you for your comment x
