- Digging in to the new Warwick 6 string bass. I gotta say they’ve always been good but they’re just getting better. I’m playing through a Fender Rumble 15 cab, Phil Jones Bass C4 cab and an Ampeg PF500 head. Bass is at about 80% and treble is at half. Pickups are even 50/50.
very great sound and great playing ❤
Thanks so much 🙏🏼
Noice!
Sounds like a very articulate bass. Considering this or the Yamaha TRB1006J. Play mostly R&B, groovy, funky stuff. Any advice would be nice.
Both are great basses! They both have decent resale value. Tone comparison would be hard as the Warwick is known for its punchy mids while the Yamaha can dial in a ton of different sounds. It's really about personal taste. I'd say both are great choices but the Warwick will cut through any mix better, in my opinion, than the Yamaha.
@@ChezzOnBass Wow thanks for the insights bro! So funny, I ordered the Yamaha (hope I don't regret the caramel/orange color) last nite because I thought it would cut thru better with the 3 band electronics. Will try the Yamaha and if I don't like it will send back for the Warwick.
Do you know the difference between the Streamer Neck Through and the Corvette that you have?
Corvette seems to have a thinner neck with closer string spacing. That's my feelings on the 6 string, anyway.
What’s the neck like on this?… Does it ever need to be adjusted much ?
Not much at all. Neck is easy to play, honestly.
Did you get this from Thomann or reverb?
Actually, I bought it from zzounds
Is this stock sound?
Indeed, it is!
Is this your main bass?
It was...I just got a Spector Legend 6 Classic and it's been more of my go-to now.
@@ChezzOnBass what do you like about the Spector Legend 6 Classic more?
Its that the cheap one or the expensive one
By cheap you mean the $1400 one? Yes, this is the “cheap” one made in China.
