Anthony Jackson basically invented the 6 string bass, big mistake to missing him out. Also I would consider Victor Wooten really to be a four string play, an absolutely monster one at that, but this is the first time I see him playing a 6 string bass, and you almost always see him playing his 4 string Fodera. What he is known for is a 4 string bass.
So good, thank you. Steve Bailey is the king of melody along with Jimmy Haslip. I’d live to see them do a duo album. Also Patitucci with Caron. Caron did a nice duo project with upright player Michel Donato which is great. Check it out on Spotify. Dream duo: Steve Bailey with guitarist Pat Martino. Two frickin rocket scientists of music together. :)
John Patitucci, Anthony Jackson, Andrew Gouche

Oteil Burbridge plays 6 string
John Patituchi helloooooo
No Anthony Jackson, THE Six Strings Guru? 🤔
What's up, slappers?
Sami Hinkka of the Finnish folk metal band Ensiferum. An insane bass player.
John Myung is a god, when he’s not playing the bass, he’s studying it.
The cool thing is that he treats it like a classical instrument, he is honestly one of my biggest bass heroes along with Geddy Lee and Chris Squire.
Dominic "Forest" Lapointe, Hugo Doyon Karout, Steve Digiorgio, Jeff Hugell, Jeroen Paul Thesseling, Linus Klausentizer?
Love all these guys, but they are all death metal guys xD not known by a wider audience unfortunately
also gotta add Jared Smith to that list
John Patitucci, Nico Assumpcao
