  • This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Tempest, which is an elite specialization of the Elementalist. This video shows off all of the weapons the Tempest can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Tempest has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Tempest and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Tempest build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

    Happy New Year my dude! Quality content as usual! I play all 9 classes and I see that I struggle more with Elementalist than any other, especially the Weaver. This tempest video is giving me some confidence. Good job!

    You're doing a really good job with these videos :3 keep it up! My only suggestion is to turn down the background since you're kind of quiet sometimes

    One thing I want to add is you can use Feel the Burn while charging an overload. Also, while attuned to air, you can use the two scepter skills while charging an overload. Just something I discovered while playing.

    hey, thanks for the guides! i just discovered your channel and your videos are very easy to understand. I'd like to ask your opinion about something. Can I play Tempest for end game pvp or wvw? (not as a support)

      Hey man, thanks for that! Any build is potentially viable but it seems that the tempest is very often used as a support role in those situations and Weaver would be the go to damage dealer. However, don't let them put you in a box and go with what you like the feel of 😊

      @@HeroicFlamingo thanks for the quick answer! yes you got a point, I'd like play whatever I like. Weaver seems a good deal but I'm not actually into sword gaming:p thanks again! I'll be following your videos.

      Very good choice! Path of Fire maps are the best place to farm hero points 😃 you can get all 250 hero points required for the elite spec in just a couple of hours!

    Can the Weaver be a Healer or would the Tempest be the best choice for Healing? Love the content, really helping me a lot, Thanks again

      @HeroicFlamingo  3 роки тому +1

      Tempest would be your best bet! Solid healing capability and easier to learn than the Weaver which can have quite complicated mechanics ☺️

    Hey, huge thanks for the spec breakdown !
    I'm new and have only watched your videos about the ele, but I would like to make a little criticism (hopefully constructive).
    At 14:17 you say "Alright so that's all for .... and the next we wanna have a look at is ..." and just after at 14:26 you say "Alright so now we wanna have a look at ...."
    You've used this kind of formulation multiple times in this video, mostly when there is a cut. This formulation is quite repetitive and long, which doesn't help in reducing this video's already long length, and overall slows down the pace of the video while adding no real informations.
    I like the way you transitioned to the next skill at 14:17 so maybe you should keep doing transitions before the cut like you did there, but jump right into it the subject after the cut instead of re introducing what you will talk about (which you did before the cut during the transition).
    Hopes this is clear enough to help, have a good one o/

    I don't want to sound too critical, because I love your videos and I appreciate them so much, so please understand I am half joking when I say: You structure your videos like I structured my high school essays. First I'm gonna tell you about this, ok I've just told you about that so next I'm gonna tell you about this other thing, ok now I'm telling you about this other thing, ok I've just told you about that other thing NEXT I'm gonna.... lol. These videos would be half as long if you just did the thing without introducing, and concluding every section 2-3 times.

    Not sure if I would really call this a guide...you basically just reworded the toolbar for 30 minutes... I would have liked to see some tips like, this skill is especially useful in x y z circumstance, or this skill is mostly only used in pvp, or these skills combo together well, etc. There wasn't any guidance offered, just a reading of the ui.

    Not really as detailed of a guide if you dont include mages most important weapon, the staff.
