I'm working on getting my thief to 80 (just hit lvl 50 last night) so I can unlock Daredevil. This video got me SO PUMPED! Melee Staff and Dual Pistols will possibly make this become the best class I've played in an MMO. It will have everything I've ever wanted!
It totally depends how you play really. If you play the Daredevil really well, you will be able to evade a lot of attacks and you will survive longer that way. The deadeye is more based off range combat so in a group situation, you could sit back while your allies take the hits so in that scenario you would survive longer. With regards to Marauder's Resilience, just tried it and it gave me 1,520 extra health 😊
Ugghhh if only they made it so you could run a full hand to hand build with maybe one dagger throw ability for ranged interrupts. That would be my dream class, but just like with soulbeast, they had to find a way to ruin it...
@@wilcovogt7308 I understand that. My point was you only get a few hand-to-hand skills with fairly long cool downs, so it's impossible to play without relying on your 1-5 skills.
@@7F0X7 "so it's impossible to play without relying on your 1-5 skills" Your complaint is that you have to use your weapon skills while fighting? Also so sorry that Anet ruined a class by not tailoring it exclusively to you. How dare they? I'm guessing they didn't even consult you personally... terrible. It really seems like they went out of their way to ruin this for you.
@@creativedesignation7880 Well at the end of the day people play the games that they feel are tailored to them, at least in the parts that are most important to them, and Anet simply isn't delivering for me and I quit the game for this and various other reasons.
This game, I pick a thief for 80 levels just to find out it is not viable, how about monk? I pick a guardian for anther 80 levels just to find out it is not viable, how about a priest? I then pick a ranger for another 80 level just to find out it is not viable (this one a bit less so), how about a druid?
That's what I love about the elite specs, it can massively change what type of character it is 😃 Goes from being a sneaky assassin character to an agile monk with a stick!
@@HeroicFlamingo Ah definitely a great point.. Do you know if the Herold is any good in PvP? So far I'm enjoying Revenant the most (lvl35) and don't like Thief much (Lvl42), but Daredevil sounds interesting. In all other mmos I've always played Assassin, the Revenant has a mix of different classes I feel especially love double swords. However don't like the constant need to have to switch stances to be effective in PvE.. Don't really want to use my lvl80 ticket because I want to enjoy the game from 0 to 80, its my first play trough. Otherwise I would have used it on Thief to get a Daredevil
I can't say I've experienced The Herald in PvP but perhaps look at a build like this which looks decent and incorporates that double swords you like 😃 metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Herald_-_Power_Shiro With regards to the level boost, I used mine on The Thief as I didn't enjoy leveling it but wanted the elite spec so if you feel the same way, that might be a good idea ☺️
@@HeroicFlamingo Thank you! I would've done that already but don't wanna rush to Endgame, I want to enjoy the Leveling process and discovering the world
Feel free to post below any questions you have about the Daredevil 😊

Melee staff if actually really awesome 😃 glad you're enjoying your Thief!
Utility skill sound effects are weird. example;
"Bandit's defence" ; Blocks attacks, * glup glup glup"
Haha they must be running out of sounds to use 😂
Is daredevil more survivable than deadeye? Also, how much health do you usually gain from Marauder's Resilience?

I wish the thief could use a staff earlier
It is really cool but it gives you something to work towards 😃 or you can do what I did and use my level 80 boost on the Thief!
Bruh he's having so much fun with the Bound dodge xD
Dude, I'm a human cannonball! What's not to love 😂
The water sound in the background🥲🥲
Sorry about that 😂
Well done

Distracting daggers is a 900 range dazing attack

Fair enough, that's true

Hi, was just curious why my Initiative isn't show the way yours is displayed, it's like stacked twice versus a straight line?
Also his F1 and F2 keys are farther to the left.
That's the old Initiative UI bar. It was changed some months back in an update to the stacked compact look it has today.
great guide!
Thank you! 😀
I am have question where i am can buy berserker items on worrior
What do you mean by berserker items? 😊

I don't feel like a staff fits an assassin class. Almost like a Monkey Sun Wukong 🤔
