If your are leveling a necro you will succeed :) (mesmer can be a single target powerhouse obliterating any target with a combo burst out of stealth) necro was my fav class and was the class i started as well, when people would gank my condi rev i would swap to condi scourge even used the sand portal as a gap to hit on most range classes it was so fun and easy vs against several players they raged alot hahahaha but that is the balance of the game lol.... i assume that has been nerfed quite a bit atm since i dont play the game anymore, oh btw for fun check gunflame warrior i belive Anet will never fix that gimmick build you can one shot alot of players with decent damage setup and players cant block the damage as well :)
If core necro seems forgiving to you, just wait until you unlock reaper, which has recently been buffed some more. Insane survivability and great damage too. Also scourge is nothing to sniff at either. Mesmer is fairly difficult, especially core mesmer, but it's quite good too, shatter greatsword was always my go to dps. Virtuoso is a great single target dps, be it power or condition damage and Mirage is a good dps choice too, with the option to go support dps, currently running condi virtuoso for dps and double staff alacrity mirage for support dps.
I just started playing for the very first time 2 days ago and I chose Engineer as my first class in this game... I am loving every second of it until I saw this video and now I am scared to continue the class XD
You shouldn't be. Engineer has a lot of skills because of the kits, which might make it daunting for a beginner, but there are a lot of builds that are incredibly easy to use and still perform great. Let me know if you're still struggling with engineer.
Thanks this was useful. I played on release for a month or two, and maybe 3/4 years ago played for another week or so, but not since. Played GW1 a lot back in the day, played a lot of WoW from vanilla to cata, recently picked that back up and having a blast in dragonflight. BUT, have an itch in the back of my mind to give GW2 another go for a while, so this video was useful as i literally remember nothing!
Thank you for the video! I just have been returning to gw2 and have been figuring out what classes i like. I created my first character 9 years ago now, but i dropped the game shortly after the fall of Lions Arch. At the time I played a Norn Ranger, which was a great intro to the game and allowed me to play solo even though i had no idea what i was doing. Then i returned after 2-3 years and created my Sylvari Mesmer.. this is when i got OBSESSED with gw2. I played through all the expansions, cried during the story, and got really into chronomancer builds and group map and world boss events. I sadly dropped it again because my computer broke and I was starting a new job in a new city... but my icon in some social media is still of my mesmer. And now im back with a human revenant and sylvari necromancer (though i return to my mesmer often). I cant leave this game forever, and so happy that it still has such an active community. Ive gotten my FFXIV friends to try it out and get into it. They introduced me into high tier play there, and now we are learning together in GW2. Ill send this vid their way when they start asking about classes.
For those that want to try elementalist but are thrown off because of the difficulty. As a newer player who's starting endgame content and going throw the expansions right now, here's my take. I've always been a fan of Magical dps classes in MMOs and I love games to be somewhat challenging. The ele caught my eye because it seemed to fit the criterias. I found that it's difficulty depends entirely of yourself. I had a lot of success early in the game using the staff and just maneging distances (also using ele summons) and It honestly wasn't even hard. As I got to understand the basics of the class I swapped to mid-short range weapons and a faster paced gameplay (and I continue to do that since I'm loving sword/dagger Weaver spec). Yes, it's hard, but I chose it. So the moral of the story would be: don't fear the ele, just make it easy at first and go as far as you are confortable. The ele is a dope class, best magic type class i've seen in any mmo
downloading the game right now, just played wow till level 15 on the massive free trial they give lol, saw a video of hunter on it thought it looked cool then watched one of your videos where you show the top 3 played classes and saw the ranger so I'll start with that. subbed btw
Hey I appreciate it! I played hunter in wow for a long time and for sure enjoyed it but the more I've played gw2 the better I've enjoyed the systems and the gameplay. Welcome to the game!
Thanks man! Feel lucky I got to start now because I see you have so many amazing recent videos! I ended up changing to a charr necromancer after trying archer in pvp, (tip from one of your videos :D ) The game is now downloading on my 2nd computer because my wife saw me play and like the look of it, Woohoo!
You do need the expansions to go to the related zones but you can play with anyone regardless of what expansion level they have. In that meaning the zones you both have access to
I was downloading the game and I came across your video thinking it would help me choose a class... man I'm even more confused now, all the classes have a little something I like about them...
Picked up gw2 when it first came out. And played it for a few years. And I recently stated playing it again to play the expansions. My very first class was an Elementalist
just picking up the game today, most recent mmos i messed with was a touch of lost ark, new world and wow but i just wanna play something new so gonna try this 2023 is kind of a miss for me for mmos with the new ones I've seen so hopefully it keeps me for at least a year or so 🙂 thanks for the content my dude
Guild wars 2 is the first game where i spawned worked my way to level 45 and then got approached by some level 300+ player who wanted to show me some hidden secrets and cool loot spots and he even did some of the jump and run parts with me too.
Cool and informative video. I got into GW2 at launch after being a player of the original for several years. Thing is, I haven't played in about 6 years. Logged in for the first time today, and noticed that a lot has changed. So I deleted my characters and started from scratch. Ranger and Engineer were the ones I played most, BTW. Although the Mesmer's really cool, too.
Finally someone who says like and subscribe mid video. You make some good content dude, ill gladly follow now that you convinced me to play with the last video about this game changing the game when it comes to mmorpg. 🎉
I've been enjoying engineer recently, I decided to pick Holosmith cuz I convinced myself by just saying "Green Lantern Jedi", once I collect another 250 hero points, I'll probably give Mechanist a shot, I've heard it's the simplest spec because a great deal of what you do is delegated to the robot while you do your own thing.
Love the video! Very concise yet sufficient introduction to the feels and style of each class. Personally, I love the elementalist, it is one of the most fun and rewarding mage gameplays ever. However, if it were up to me I’d have to put the difficulty as a bit easier than the Mesmer. The clone mechanics of sticking only to one enemy makes clones die out too quickly to protect you, whereas for the Elementalist you have more adaptability and AoE damage to survive any situation. Maybe I just haven’t played Mesmer long enough to be skilled, but I like the Elementalist a lot more.
That's a great point! Especially as a new player may struggle to keep their clones alive... admittedly I'm not new and struggle with that too. Also ele main for life!
core engineer may be difficult, but mechanist is one of the easiest elite professions. just equip rifle :) spam few keys and let your jade mech do the rest.
so true, compared to mesmer or revenant , engineer is very easy, maybe endgame with all the tech it might be overwhelming, but by endgame you learn mechanics, thats why i dont suggest newbies go auto max level, play from 1 to 80 and enjoy game
For someone who has been playing MMOs for years and kind of went towards the stealthy classes but good sustain - would you suggest willbender, spellbreaker, or thief?
I was one of the lucky people to access the early closed alpha tests and betas, all the way up to launch. Mesmer main since day 1. I played up till and a few months after launch and tend to play for a couple months at a time, have a year or so break then come back for another couple months. For some reason I find it a little hard to stick to, it could be the fact I get distracted with new shiny things, but no matter what I end up back on board, the game is good enough to keep pulling me back in.
Guardian is my main. I love my virtues, they are my blessing which helping me on my way. Firebrand is the strongest support, i prefered this one untill willbender appeared but now i have a great variation of roles... Direct DPS, condi DPS, quick , heal, alacrity and everything can be combined by changing the proportions and builds.
I haven't been able to find a main in 4 years or so. Every time I think I found one, I see someone playing a different profession and it's like "oh that looks cool. I'm going to play that now". Probably why I have 12 characters. :) Even when you pick a specific profession there are so many different ways to play it that you'll spend a lifetime mixing and matching. I guess currently Guardian is the one I play most often. Even with all the people playing high burning firebrands and DPS Dragonhunters, I still get the most joy playing my little core guardian buff bot with 100% concentration and 8 different buffs running.
thanks for the video... i was tring to understand what class to pick but after many videos i was like "what are those names and itens and everything else ?" also was nice to see it`s yours... i'm a xiv player and started following your adventures through the MSQ
You can play whatever you want.. it doesn't matter. OR you can play guardian, which is anets favorite class.. and always be sure that your class will be META and fun in every single content with multiple specs. The 2nd choice is the correct choice.
personally one of the main reasons why gw2 will forever be the best mmo for me is the way they have perfected the mage class; elementalist. its just perfect. everything about it is perfect.
thank you for this video! i honestly have had this game and all expansions but rarely play. been trying out all the classes except guardian (need to try that) and find i love thief, mesmer, and necro the most but still unsure of if i want to stick with any of them as a main class yet. i never really stay on this game for very long as i dont really know what the story is but the class mechanics and combat and other things keep me coming back wanting to give it another shot.
It's tough getting started for sure. Theres all going on and if you don't really find that tie to the game it's kind of like why stay? I'd say find an elite specialization you like and try to grind that out. It's what hooked me
Note to self. Mesmer is light Armor Class/Profession. Someone most likely already mentioned this? You said Medium. But corrected that by putting Light in the text about the Class/Profession on the screen.
I play Elementalist, Revenant, and Necromancer most these days. Though I was a Mesmer main for a while right after EOD, if the sound effects weren't so earapey I would probably play them a lot still, but it got very grating very fast. Ranger might replace Necro for me for a bit though, tried out a soulbeast build finally a couple days ago and really vibing with it so far. Nothing tops my Hammer Tempest though. Love it so much.
I have been playing since release and I am a mesmer main. Currently playing a personal build of virtual so and being able to stack boons on myself with 70-100% uptime of most of the bones and vulnerability depending on how long the fight is 🤤 I feel like a bard with a knife. Or maybe a jester with flying daggers? It's so cool!
Been playing since guild wars 1, mes/sin. Guild wars 2 came out and Mesmer to like level max and I feel like that was 13 years ago lol. Haven’t played it since. I miss this game though. Totally didn’t even know there was heroic specialties now.
A bit of a off topic subject Say that you have a mouse with multiple Marco keys. (Like a Razor Naga series) Any tutorial with it for new player in any MMO.
@@CaffeinatedDad i totaly get that, i usualy try to find my favorite arctype ( ninja/ monk) in mmos. Gw2 does the best job of letting you create your original fantasy character. The class and gear system is just top- notch for my taste. There are other games that let you do that, but than the combat and glamour does not match my taste.

Keep up the great work.
Somewhere around here I have a physical copy of vanilla GW2. Despite that, I don't think I've ever gotten past level 30 or so - hoping to change that now lol.
So is the elementalist the only healing class, if you choose to build as a healer? Or is most of the healing in Guild Wars 2 a self heal done by the tanks, since you mention they have some healing abilities?
you know guild has always been about going down there own path and making a unique MMO that is very successful. I played guild since its early release back in the day, so yeah been playing since the start and its always been fun and so enjoyable
I have found some builds that can be a lot more forgiving if you are playing PvE. I would say every class has something like that. Although others could be more powerful you will still get the job done.
@@CaffeinatedDad yea but on the other hand if you.. just run around and avoid stuff, without contribuiting to the damage, then you're just useless. Yes it's important to do the mechanic, but what i've learned in my .. 20+ years of MMORPG playtime is that Damage is the MOST important thing. If you have good damage, you clear the boss 99.9% of the time. First of all, if your players in your raid are doing GOOD damage, that also means that they are good in the game.. Second, more damage = less mechanics anyway. So by doing damage you LITERALLY avoid mechanics. third , Faster clears which is very important for the mental state of each player as well as people not getting angry during the raid. Even if u wipe once or twice, if your damage is GOOD and u just failed 1 or 2 mechanics, that's fine... you'll still clear it for sure lol Yes sometimes people will "Greed" for better dps, but that downside is very small compared to the downside of having an afk dodger in your raid.
Honestly, I’ve played this game on and off since release, many even a few betas. Played GW1, or rather tried it, never really liked it. But I have yet to finish a story, for a single character, do end game or fractals, which is the part that I am really looking forward to. I love the game play, and the system, had some issues getting used to not having the trinity, but it makes it a whole lot more interesting. I love exploring the game, do jump puzzles and platforming. I really enjoyed the first dungeons, the story part, never got past that. There is such high variety in this game. What I loved about wow was the dungeon aspect of it, 5 man, not raid, did the raid, it was just never really any fun. And everything is in this game, great story, easy to have fun solo, exploration that is rewarding and fun classes. Love my engi, difficult to play, so I take it slowly, I don’t mind that much, not as mind nummingly slow as my holy priest. But his dammit, I can never pull my self together and really play this game, I have no idea why or for what reason. I love this game, and I really do want to play it. Might just be patient friends I lack, to tip me over 😂

I have been playing for a month, mostly open world HP challenges and wvw, I still can't choose what to main, which classes between warrior ele and engi do you recommend?
Hmm well ele is very difficult in many cases because of how little health we bring to the table warriors do a fantastic job and tend to be a bit more simplistic, engineers are difficult at the start but they are fantastic when you learn their ins and outs! I recommend engineer as its a lot of fun and a but more forgiving than ele

"I do believe its time to hit that like button and subscribe" Buddy i did that the first minute already because you explain things so well...
Warrior is the "weapons master" archetype rather than the "melee fighter." Don't forget longbows and rifles, lol.
I said they have a few ranged options sprinkled in!
Medium armor Mesmer you say? 😏 Great work as always thou!
Great catch! Lol I made a comment about it lol thanks John!
was searching for an advice like this. ty
Happy to help!
Im just getting into this cause people on Once Human were talking about it. Your video helps with my decision, thank you
11:49 yeah I want to call " The Avatar ” LOL
That's what I'm saying!
This was very comprehensive... but I'm no closer to picking a class than I was before😩
Awesome video ! I really really enjoyed it dude
Misspoke* Mesmer is a LIGHT ARMOR Class!*

10:32 keep in mind guild wars 1 competed with EQ. The Mesmer is just an an updated enchanter with more mage skills.
I always thought mesmer was a super unique spin to a magician class!
Mesmer is unique and beauty
Thanks for the guidance, very useful video!
Happy to help!
Good music choice during necro ! thanks useful information !
Upon listening again I think I made it too loud! Thanks for the kind words!
Great intro to the classes, thank you
downloading the game right now, just played wow till level 15 on the massive free trial they give lol, saw a video of hunter on it thought it looked cool then watched one of your videos where you show the top 3 played classes and saw the ranger so I'll start with that.
I ended up changing to a charr necromancer after trying archer in pvp, (tip from one of your videos :D )
The game is now downloading on my 2nd computer because my wife saw me play and like the look of it, Woohoo!
A quick question. Do I need to buy all expansions to see or play with other people who have those expansions?
You do need the expansions to go to the related zones but you can play with anyone regardless of what expansion level they have. In that meaning the zones you both have access to
I was downloading the game and I came across your video thinking it would help me choose a class... man I'm even more confused now, all the classes have a little something I like about them...
Hahaha that was not the point! I was meant to help you! Lol
Picked up gw2 when it first came out. And played it for a few years. And I recently stated playing it again to play the expansions. My very first class was an Elementalist
Ahh a gamer of class! The elementalist is a great choice!
just picking up the game today, most recent mmos i messed with was a touch of lost ark, new world and wow but i just wanna play something new so gonna try this
2023 is kind of a miss for me for mmos with the new ones I've seen so hopefully it keeps me for at least a year or so 🙂 thanks for the content my dude
It's looking really good right now!
I'm sure it'll hold your attention! Also thank you for the kind words!
General tip. Use the structured pvp lobby to try out your class. Everything is unlocked there
never played it but highly interested to play it!!! ur video sure help encouraging me to try the game
It's honestly a great game and will suck you down the rabbit hole!
Guild wars 2 is the first game where i spawned worked my way to level 45 and then got approached by some level 300+ player who wanted to show me some hidden secrets and cool loot spots and he even did some of the jump and run parts with me too.
Isn't it crazy? I can't find many other MMOs that really do this as well as gw2 has done at least the communities efforts that is!
Hi! I am going to try GW2 after WoW. Wich are the best core builds for pvp?
I would suggest warrior mesmer or necromancer as they still are pretty strong. Check metabattle.com or hardstuck for complete explanations
Dope video. Where do you get your non DMCA music from?
I just got into guild wars 2 and man everything overwhelms me but I’m leaning towards Mesmer thanks for this video!
Happy to help! Mesmer is a ton of fun!
@@CaffeinatedDad so far revenant is giving me the hardest problem lol
Cool and informative video. I got into GW2 at launch after being a player of the original for several years. Thing is, I haven't played in about 6 years. Logged in for the first time today, and noticed that a lot has changed. So I deleted my characters and started from scratch.
Ranger and Engineer were the ones I played most, BTW. Although the Mesmer's really cool, too.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to research. Very helpful.
Been playing since 2015ish. Haven’t played in about 3 years. Getting the itch to come back
It's in a good spot right now! Good content has come out recently!
core engineer may be difficult, but mechanist is one of the easiest elite professions. just equip rifle :) spam few keys and let your jade mech do the rest.
Absolutely agreed! But to get to the mechanist you'd have to fight through a good portion of the stories until you had the hero points to unlock!
so true, compared to mesmer or revenant , engineer is very easy, maybe endgame with all the tech it might be overwhelming, but by endgame you learn mechanics, thats why i dont suggest newbies go auto max level, play from 1 to 80 and enjoy game
Great vid! You just convinced me to give GW2 another go.
Oh by the way, when you mention Mesmer in the video you said 'Medium Armor'.
Oh I know! I only caught jt after publishing!
Very well done, thank you
For someone who has been playing MMOs for years and kind of went towards the stealthy classes but good sustain - would you suggest willbender, spellbreaker, or thief?
Watching this before trying GW2 for the first time.^
I was one of the lucky people to access the early closed alpha tests and betas, all the way up to launch.
This game is absolutely a time sink vacuum! It refuses to let you go!
@@CaffeinatedDad agreed, it's comfortable and open enough to keep you busy but different enough to stand out in the crowd.
Started in og GW2 beta, but been gone sooooo long - looking forward to picking it up again!
If you find joy in a class then play the hell out of it! It's great fun!
Even with all the people playing high burning firebrands and DPS Dragonhunters, I still get the most joy playing my little core guardian buff bot with 100% concentration and 8 different buffs running.
thanks for the video... i was tring to understand what class to pick but after many videos i was like "what are those names and itens and everything else ?"
also was nice to see it`s yours... i'm a xiv player and started following your adventures through the MSQ
Appreciate all this and everything you've shared, I look forward to taking this information and adapting it to my game play. Thank you
Another great video! I have a few 80s but I think I want to start fresh after my 6 year break.
You can play whatever you want.. it doesn't matter.
OR you can play guardian, which is anets favorite class.. and always be sure that your class will be META and fun in every single content with multiple specs.
The 2nd choice is the correct choice.
Loool well said!
Or mechanist^^ still op as fuck.
I am a caffeinated Dad as well, and I approve of this video with a like a subscribe.
Thank you I will download now guildwars 2 thanks for the video guide
Sep 6, 2023
Hope you enjoy it!
personally one of the main reasons why gw2 will forever be the best mmo for me is the way they have perfected the mage class; elementalist. its just perfect. everything about it is perfect.
mastering elementalist is like mastering invoker in dota 2. thats how difficult it is.
Honestly I love the playstle. Up close, fast combat hits it just right!
which is the class that has a polearm? or does that require xpac too
iv now been playing 2 minutes and cant wait to play
thank you for this video! i honestly have had this game and all expansions but rarely play. been trying out all the classes except guardian (need to try that) and find i love thief, mesmer, and necro the most but still unsure of if i want to stick with any of them as a main class yet. i never really stay on this game for very long as i dont really know what the story is but the class mechanics and combat and other things keep me coming back wanting to give it another shot.
It's tough getting started for sure. Theres all going on and if you don't really find that tie to the game it's kind of like why stay? I'd say find an elite specialization you like and try to grind that out. It's what hooked me
@@CaffeinatedDad thank you for the advice i appreciate it!!!!
Whats the best class for minions/pets,the necromancer or ranger?
Hi there! Please, what is that sword ranger is using? it looks like a zweihander. Thank you!
Hahaha I've never thiught of it like that but that I'd a beautiful comparison, a bard with a knife
Been playing since guild wars 1, mes/sin. Guild wars 2 came out and Mesmer to like level max and I feel like that was 13 years ago lol. Haven’t played it since. I miss this game though. Totally didn’t even know there was heroic specialties now.
There's another video similar to this by a creator named kyoshia who covers the elite specs in detail of your interested!
Damn this game looks good
Been playing since 2012. I've never referred to a "profession" the entire time, and it has never caused confusion when I refer to a "class"
Some don't have any confusion but this was aimed at newer players who may get confused at the term profession!
Thief looks good
Fast and Evasive!
Started last night, picked warrior because i play warrior for 12 years in wow but i have also created a ranged for druid as my alt is a resto druid.
Similar idea really, the druid in gw2 is like a mix between resto druid and boomkin, switching between normal state and avatar state
which sword is the one youre using in the warrior clips?
I believe that was the norn greatsword (maybe called the shiverpeaks?)
I picked it back up today. I started it many many many years ago (2015ish?) but didnt jump in heavily.
A bit of a off topic subject
Say that you have a mouse with multiple Marco keys. (Like a Razor Naga series)
Any tutorial with it for new player in any MMO.
I appreciate the video! Just about to return but logged into my lv40 elementalist and don't even know how to begin 😂
Playing this game for 5 years, still watching this hahaha
I watch everyone of these types of videos... lol even if I've never played the game!
I have been playing this game on and off sinds day one 10 years ago and its may most played and loved game of all time. So no this vid is not for me and yes I know every bit of information in this vid but I just like your voice and the way you make your vid’s, I would watch your content even if it was not GW2 content:-).
Keep up the great work.
Well I greatly appreciate your kind words and your time. I'm glad I can be entertaining and enjoyable for you!
Pls do one of these for all of the elite specs
Stay tuned!
you know guild has always been about going down there own path and making a unique MMO that is very successful. I played guild since its early release back in the day, so yeah been playing since the start and its always been fun and so enjoyable
I have found some builds that can be a lot more forgiving if you are playing PvE. I would say every class has something like that. Although others could be more powerful you will still get the job done.
I think that's why dps counters were not initially incorporated into the game so you can focus on the fight and boss versus crunching numbers
Even if u wipe once or twice, if your damage is GOOD and u just failed 1 or 2 mechanics, that's fine... you'll still clear it for sure lol
Yes sometimes people will "Greed" for better dps, but that downside is very small compared to the downside of having an afk dodger in your raid.
@@akhsdenlew1861 What / who do u suggest? Do you know Pugna of Dota 2? I'm looking for a profession with that kind of animation Life Drain
@@MangaGamified in guild wars?
I don't know.. perhaps the new thief - specter or necro..
Since day one my friend, since day one. We've seen the end of the world as we know it in 2012, with the coming of Gw2.
Ha! A true vet if we ever had one!
@@CaffeinatedDad Hehe! Btw I like your video. It really summarize the class and the gameplay for each professions in a global view.
저는 학국인 입니다 첫번째로 나오는 큰칼을 든 워리어를 하려면 어떻게해야하나요? 그리고 그것을할려면 무슨캐릭을 해야하나요 제발 알려주세요
That would be the warrior utilizing a greatsword (axe shield) combo!
Might just be patient friends I lack, to tip me over 😂
It's an acquired taste to be frank, it has to fit you where you are in gaming and honestly when you start making head way on a project it gets the ball rolling!
Mesmer sounds a lot like Illusion Control from "City of Heroes/Villains", or Controllers in general.
It has a heavy emphasis on control and illusion magic. I've never played city of heroes but it sounds like it would match
New player, awesome video thank you!
Happy to help! Thank you!
necromancer or ranger ill try out havent played since GW1 came out i think its been what 20 years?
Turned 19 years old about a week ago. Older than me
How long have I been playing guild wars 2? 0 days 0 hours and 0 seconds. Downloaded it today, picking it up with a bud.
Welcome to Tyria!
@@CaffeinatedDad thanks! Appreciate the informative video!
What class you choose ?
Started last night and rolls a thief cause I wanted to be a pistol/sword pirate lol. Now I'm curious about the mesmer
Warrior with Bladesworn Elite Spec, because i like seeing big numbers
I saw like 60k dragonslash hits!
Thanks!
can you recommend me a video to learn how to build diferent classes, (items skills) etc.
Hmmm I don't know any off hand unless you look at specific elite specialization videos.
That's a good idea for a video!
Try the snow crows website or the gw2 vallun YT channel
I have played my tempest elemental for 7 years now...i still find it fun....
It's a fantastic elite spec!
i'm on my way downloading the game and found this video.. i was planning to choose melee class with good AOE damage dealing, which better deal AOE damage is the warrior or the guardian? thanks before
Warrior tends to do fantastic inherent aoe with all of their abilities. Guardian does dome aor but has alot more defensive magic when compared to other classes.
@@CaffeinatedDad thanks ! Currently i'm lvl 17 right now.. just following the main quest at the moment.. any tips beside doing main quest? Someone says to me just leveling up to lvl 80 and start grind for gears, etc
Great video. I have been playing since day two of release. Ele is my favorite always. Ranger a close second.
Ele mains unite!
I’ve been playing since the days of gw1 before factions, nightfall and Eye of the north. That was so long ago now lol
My how time has flew. It's crazy because I was thinking about Guild wars 1 alot recently
been thinking to give this game a try. I love polearms especially spears! So I wonder what would be a good class with a spear I wonder?
Unfortunately gw2 only has a spear as an underwater weapon. The closest thing to a spear is a Staff that looks like a spear :(
I have been playing for a month, mostly open world HP challenges and wvw, I still can't choose what to main, which classes between warrior ele and engi do you recommend?
Hmm well ele is very difficult in many cases because of how little health we bring to the table warriors do a fantastic job and tend to be a bit more simplistic, engineers are difficult at the start but they are fantastic when you learn their ins and outs!
I recommend engineer as its a lot of fun and a but more forgiving than ele
@@CaffeinatedDad Thanks for the reply, in the end I went with hammer cata it feels so fun to play
