Great video. I recently sorted out my collection and have started adding to it. I started back around the same time as you, but hadn’t bought any more vinyl between the 90s and a couple of years ago. My first aim (in between getting anything that takes my fancy) is to get all the UK single releases. I found after sorting my collection out that I am already halfway there. 😃
Wayne, I did a similar thing and only bought cds for about 6 years. Then I catalogued my vinyl and filled in the gaps. So much to buy and not enough money!
@@tcbsince73 yeah money is the problem. For me, being based in Australia makes money an even bigger problem as shipping is expensive. I just have to remind myself that it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
That can’t have been an easy choice to make. I collected British campaign medals for 30 years and sold them last year. Letting the first few go was tough, but then I just wanted them gone.
@@tcbsince73 yep, I collected Elvis records from the beginning and had a full UK collection, I decided to sell and replace on CDs about 20 years ago, but I do miss them sometimes, now I concentrate on the Elvis FTD collection, and the odd CD!
what about just cant help believing & my boy weren't they singles back in the '70's. not a big EP fan, but do you know the best place i cxan get a list of all uk single releases in chronological order wikipedia is crap discogs is just too time consuming, thanks
As with the Elvis albums, there seems to have been zero thought put into the covers for the Elvis singles, the images often bearing no relation to the song (relentless concert images, Elvis smiling happily on the cover of sad ballads, tacky design). Given that Elvis was so photogenic, his 'packaging' was nothing short of criminal. The cover for "Merry Christmas Baby" is a joke, making a mockery of the music.
Wonderful collection. I lost some of those as I went to college. Darn it
Great set of picture sleeves 45's a very nice collection.
Thanks, I was always envious of the picture sleeves. In the U.K. we didn’t get them, just RCA company sleeves.
That’s a wonderful collection!
Nice collection many thanks 🙂

You have a superb collection, can’t wait to see more!
almost 50 years of collecting. My wife thinks I am insane... I'm not going to argue with her.
Nice one, brings back many memories for me i had all the UK releases until I sold my Elvis vinyl collection many years ago!

Great collection! I love the poster on your door. Where did you pick that up?
I had it printed myself.
@@tcbsince73 Very nice. I would purchase one of those!

RCA took no care over Elvis, they just milked as much as they could for as little effort as possible.
