In the not so distant future Pepsi has won the cola wars....
In this episode I had a blast building a cyberpunk themed diorama using miniatures from Titan Forge.

The video's just starting but I wanted to say, yes I've been waiting for videos like this.
From Davewoodrum- Thank you so much for the credit and the AWESOME transformation that you did on this! The whole diorama looks amazing and I showed my wife the lighting effects- I've bought the color changing strips myself in hopes that if I can ever get her to paint (as I'm lousy) as I'd like to do something similar to this. If you ever need anything from my non-free Fishwife Games brand (on Drivethru) for a presentation like this just let me know and I'll comp for you.
That diorama isn't for sale, is it? :D
Nerd Musk sure! $2500 😛
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial Tempting.... but no. :D It is super awesome, though. Kudos.
Hell yeah! Thanks for using the bits my dad and I made Jeremy. The result is unreal and I'm jealous I didn't make it.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours ever! Cyberpunk really doesn't get enough love in the terrain department.
Part of the reason Cyberpunk does not get much terrain love is just how much work it takes. This build had alot of parts to it, and to do Cyberpunk justice you need alot of it to create that crowded urban environment...which then creates the problem of being hard to move minis around in.
The small details are the most difficult. Hirst Arts makes silicone molds for plaster. This diorama can be easier if you incorporate Hirst Arts molds 325 and 326.
Jeremy i think this might be my favorite build you've done! Love it!
I use those same transparencies with my scifi stuff to create energy shields. They work really well for glass in my 3d printed buildings too! Especially when I put a tea light behind them
OK, I know I'm not the brightest, but I cannot find where Staples does transparencies on their website and my local Staples' employee looked at me like a whelk doing a math problem.
Where's the option for these wonderful transparent prints?
@@jonathantillian6528 I can only speak for this site: staplescopyandprint.ca so I have no idea about Staples in USA.
But when you create a file for print, you need to select paper type. One of the options available to me was transparency. So it wasn't an option right on the main page like printing photos or something, just an option for general document printing.
This is a really cool build! It's really amazing to see how you leverage a broad array of techniques to get some really cool effects!! I also love how passionate you seemed about this build too! The end result looks fantastic!
Sadly I'm looking at this super sick build and my mind is stuck on "what font is that? That totally works for that build!"
You could always try a font finder, like the one dafonts has, from a screenshot of the video. Good luck!
Interesting ideas at play here. It's given me an idea for a project of my own, especially since there's going to be a licensed miniatures range for Cyberpunk RED later this year. There's a particular scene in the novel "Neuromancer" that I would love to be able to capture in miniature form.
Wait there will be cyberpunk minis soon!?
Cool! I use Infinity figs for my CP2020 campaign, and had an eye on some of zombicide invasion ones, as they're much much cheaper (plastic vs metal...); but an official CP red range can be nice!
OG cyberpunk...! And what scene is that???
Dude. This is a masterpiece.
This is a gorgeous piece, it's giving me a lot of inspiration for the future!
I love the gritty, grimy feel you've achieved with the weathering and Graffiti, and the colour changing light effects really sell that 'cyberpunk' ambiance immediately.
Top quality build, I love seeing these dioramas you create and the freedom it seems to offer you - you really seem to enjoy them and that comes through :)
The nice thing about the diorama videos are regardless if the project you build is impractical for a gaming table there are vast amounts of techniques that are transferable to a gaming use build. I really dig building dioramas as well. Probably more so than practical game use pieces so I love what you did here. I can tell you really get into these as well so I hope you continue to return to these. Again tons of useful information in the two dioramas you’ve presented for anyone’s project regardless of its intended use. Great work!
Excellent results! EL Wire can be real hit or miss, very rarely have I seen ultra bright ones (which is a shame), good compromise with the LED strip though.
I don't have a lot of experience with el, but red tends to be brighter. Probably same reason red LEDs were big for so long.
I've admired your work for years! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE!!!!! WOW!!!!!
That came out really amazing, worth all the time and effort. Funny, when you teased this a few days ago I immediately thought "Blade Runner" but I didn't realize why until you mentioned the billboard sign being from the movie!! Oh duh!! My subconscious knew even if I didn't .
The things that stop cars from driving onto the sidewalk are called "bollards" (at least, that's what I know them as thanks to Cities: Skylines)
Sweet build!
from spanish "bolardo" (wich means "ball on top")
@@donquijotedegranada Yes, that's the word, but it doesn't mean that. In fact, most of them don't have a ball on top. The etymology is different.
@@AlbertoDsign it was originally
Wow! You did such an amazing job! This turned out so cool. I hope you do more cyberpunk in the future!
The pothole was no mistake, only an happy accident.
Killer dioramas btw. Looks great.
Accidental hole? Accidental weathering you mean
@@FrigginBoomToys Was talking about the hole that the superglue melted in the styro that he turned into a pothole. And I was making a joke reference to Bob Ross in the same process, that's all.
It's not fantasy. But it still looks amazing. I was in Japan recently and I can totally see that being part of the Shinjuku district.
I love this project, it turned out great! Hope to see you do more cyberpunk in the future!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours, amazing piece of art!
Excellent build. We used to play Cyberpunk RPGs 25+ years ago. You nailed the look perfectly. My favorite bit are the details on the wall to the left. Well done!
Excellent video! Love the subject matter and the execution on it.
So cool! I love these builds that are more advanced where you don't worry about it necessarily being targeted to beginners and just let loose. Fantastic result, very inspiring!
"Hotwire"? Don't you mean monofilament? ;)
That looks so cyberpunk meshed w/Big Trouble in Little China. 👍🏻👍🏻
That wailing 80s solo sets a perfect atmosphere too
This is another masterpiece diorama. Your innovation is the best. I would absolutely use something like this as an integrated GM screen/background for any cyberpunk / sci fi game. It would add such ambience.
Well done, brother.
This was amazing video concept and exicushion love the diaramas that you have maid up to now and look forward to moor you may do in the future
Epic as always! Was wondering when you'd finally make a cyberpunk build
Oooh I love the bending of the q-tips idea! Really a amazing and remarkable build here. I dont know if there are games set in this setting but there should be. Worthy of Rulebook dios.
Don't forget to get your Pepsi paycheck, for the subliminal ad ! XD Joke aside keep up the good work it's amazing !
Reflective stuff inside the lit room would help build a brighter space. Like chrome paint or small mirror tiles. It help bounce light around instead of the black walls absorbing some of the light.
I dont know how comfortable you are with electronics and soldering, but to get those windows/signs to light up you could add a piece of acrylic behind it and wire in a LED below; Using the acrylic to diffuse the light through the sign.
Hey brother, great work--funny enough I'm working on painting up some minis in synthwave style (not too distant from cyberpunk style) a diorama like that would certainly compliment them nicely. As always, very well built and fantastic creativity!
I like the background lighting for the video it looks great. Love the video, super cool to have some inspiration for building different dioramas.
COOL all the way around! If I had the $450, I'd get me a Supa Soda. LOL Loved that name. ;)
I was inspired by your last video and gave it a try!!
I thought why not post it on youtube!!
So I did!
I hope you give it a watch and keep on crafting!
More cyber punk please!
"Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to build!" -Reanu Keeves
That background music is dope!
Love the change in genre. Love the fantasy, but this is soooo cool!
imagine if he made the man-hole cover a button for the lights.. that would be RAD
I been watching Your videos for a while now Jeremy and this diorama is one of My favorites so far. Blade Runner is one of My all time favorite Sci-Fi movies and this diorama really captures the feel of that genre. Excellent job! I can tell You had a blast putting it together...You really seemed excited. Thanks for posting and letting Us out here in UA-cam land see Your talents.
Mi diorama favorito hasta el momento. Hasta podrías poner un letrero en el techo con letras neón usando las otras luz led.
very cool! I love cyberpunk theme, it´s great to see this and I like more cyberpunk in this channel! Thanks for this awesome video!
WOAH look at you using the expensive wash, MR. Moneybags! ;) Time to take a Scrooge McDuck moneybath in Earthshade! Just kidding
All these moments; lost in time...
Adding a UV LED to such a scene could work well with Florescent Paint.
Not hugely I to tabletop gaming but have subbed to your channel for the dioramas. They are attractive, I wanna touch them through the screen somehow. You inspired me to do some statue stuff on my channel. I wanna try something like this though.
Extending the building could be a cool idea. The bottom is already lookin sick but the higher it goes the cooler it gets!
Totally been trying to think up a cyberpunk setup, this really helps!
I love the build! I have one criticism, however: it’s too static.
You have the one warrior’s sash blowing in the wind, but nothing else signifies that motion. With your printing, you could have made custom garbage or posters and notes in the shop window, posters on the walls, etc.
In your next build, could you utilize some dynamic features such as an implied wind or motion? Much appreciated and great work!
I disagree. I imagine it's a very static moment, the part in the movie where the one brave officer walks toward the guy in street, the music stops to build the tension. Just as the officer reaches to grab this guy, shit kicks off.
It is a pretty clean street for the grungy cyber future. Maybe those officers enforce littering laws pretty well?
I absolutely loved this build! I dig seeing you make dios and I love this particular style, even if it isn't something you use in a game. If it's something you enjoy doing, I think it'd be cool if you made more cyberpunk stuff.
Also, I found an awesome technique for making realistic asphalt. Liquitex makes a Ceramic Stucco texture effect that you can mix any of their acrylics into. I found that if you mix in a bit of black (but not too much, since the only roads that are black black are new or wet) and then paint it onto your surface. It's impressive how well it imitates asphalt at that scale, as the aggregates that make the texture stick up a bit shows color through the paint & picks up dry brushing really well. I've been using this for dioramas for custom diecast and it looks incredible.
BE warned, putting sharp kinks in El wire like you show will crack the phosphor inside. it'll seem fine for a while but it'll degrade quick and then the whole length will die.
Thanks for this. I put LED light strip in resin and half the lights didn't light up when cured.
Ah yes, in the cyberpunk future we all drive on ash fault. But damn does this diorama look cool. I love how grungy the weathering looks and those lights were worth the wait.
Romans used a lot of concrete. 2000 years later...
Old school Cyberpunk 2020 player here. Still my favorite system ever.
I got my Shadow Run core rule book in the car I’m on my way!
You might need some more D6...
@@Owen-pj3ms Even if you own a dice company.
@@angrytheclown801 oh yeah. I'm a fan of d100 systems or the cortex system. But the shadowrun resources and setting is great!
Huge problem with running games is you almost have to run three simultaneous games, the physical realm, the magic plane and the cyber world. It's hard work.
@@Owen-pj3ms One thing that helps me run the magic and cyber worlds is an hourglass. Even if there's no time limit, it reminds those in different perspectives that their time is different than the meat world so they need to think quickly. I also speak faster to them. Not much faster, but just enough to be noticeable.
thank you so much. i've been strugling for month (years?), since we all got hyped for CP2077 and restart a full CP2020 campaign with some friends, to find ideas for CP terrain. i didn't find anything usefull untill now, you gave me a bunch of ideas! thank you guy, keep up the good work!
ROCKIN
Love Your Stuff Ehh!!! I Started This Hobby And I'm On A budget And Your Channel Helps Alot! Keep It Up Pal!
'80s dystopia is always fun!
Best project you've ever done. Amazing outcome.
SOOO COOL. This inspired me to want to make something... I don’t know what, but something..
Brilliant build! I really hated to see it end! Definitely need more Cyberpunk/Shadow Run type builds!
Fantastic build just loving it. But I really like some pointers on Resin and how to use it, and most important where and what to buy
The clear uv resin? I have a video about that product in the back catalog already :)
This was a super cool build. Lots for me to unpack and apply to my underhive build. I have always envisioned my Necromunda board as having a grim-punk aesthetic.
"Grimpunk" is a really good term to describe Necromunda. :D
@@RokuroCarisu I'd love to say I coined that term but I'm pretty sure that would be a lie. 😂
Think it might be my favotire thing you have made ever! looks amazing. Was planning on using some LEDs in terrain for Infinity by Corvus Belli which is very cyberpunky so this was inspiring.
Love this! We have been using your post apocalyptic and modern stuff to augment our cyberpunk game. More please!
Aww yeah, I needed something to watch while I ate these sausage rolls.
amazing project man! So much detail and in combination with the new wave music really took me into a little cyberpunk world! Congrats!
Приветствую Вас! Очень круто получилось! Очень красивая диорама! Спасибо за интересное видео)
Love your channel, I just got a proxxon to up my foam cutting game for Halloween costumes and my Marvel action figure collection displays.
If your looking for a good way to evenly light small areas from behind, like your neon windows. I suggest an "LED Backlight Module" which are essential standard 3v LEDs but instead of little 3 or 5mm buttons.... They are flat clear panels. Usually able to find them in a few sizes. Just add some transparent vinyl to one side for color. The best thing is they are pretty cheap and 2 small batteries can power them for a long time. Also, flat EL Panels are available instead of EL Wire. For color changing in small areas I've used color changing 5mm RGB LEDs with only 2 leads... These ones are available in slow and flash changing speeds, dumb circuit means no programming. They just automatically cycle through each color. And then there are smart RGB/RGBW neopixel type LEDs... If you really wanna up your lighting game!
That looks great, and the lighting choice made a big difference over the first type. Yeah, looks like we might have a lot of extra time for hobbies and gaming over the next few weeks or maybe even months.
I love LOVE that you are doing dioramas! I don't play tabletop games but I always watch your channel for diorama building and painting techniques. So it's SUPER cool seeing you make some dioramas yourself. I always enjoy seeing how your pieces come together but this one was particularly cool! Keep them coming!
HOORAY! I've been working on a cyberpunk diorama that is kind of like a book nook for a while and I really want to use EL wire but I've been having some trouble with it. I love this stuff. The sound they make is also pretty horrible. I am switching to a USB version. The brightness varies depending on what you buy.
Really creative build. Maybe you could try some fantasy dioramas with spell effects or source lighting? (Underdark, lava chamber, fireballs)
hey Jeremy!
just played my first game of Gaslands. have you ever considered doing a video of some cool post apocalyptic deathrace vehicles? it was crazy fun doing mine. ps. crafsman has a great and super funny video where he does some.
-Halsey Claar
OKTabletop
Very nice. Imagine having 4-6 more of these and you'd have a great CP cityscape. For viewing or RPGs.
A WTF from the past: Billy Idol released an album titled "Cyberpunk", 27 years ago, when Cyberpunk was at it's hight...or at the backend.
Since then/ a few years before this release, we have expected VR to be a thing. It died and took a kid in 2013-14 to start it all up again.
This is my favorite thing you’ve ever done!!! Probably because I’m excited about cyberpunk 2077. Haha So cool.
I'm a huge Cyberpunk fan as well. This is a beautiful build! I remember playing the P&P Cyberpunk game back in the 90's (cause I'm old) ;). If you like the Cyberpunk genre, I highly recommend checking out: Carbon 2185 . It is a D&D 5E system take, on Cyberpunk and it is really well constructed. I think most people who played Cyberpunk back in the day will agree, the concept was amazing, the system...not so much lol. Check out Carbon 2185, you'll be glad you did :)
Great Diorama....I think Cyber Punk is going to explode in 2020.
The music was giving me Kung Fury vibes, and I loved the nod to Blade Runner!
Hey Jeremy! Do you know about Urban Manhunt, from Spectrum games?! If not, take a look!! This piece would be PERFSCT for this game that is on the rise!! :D
I have no intention of doing cyberpunk minis or terrain..... but HOT DAMN THAT IS COOL!
Cyberpunk is such an awesome theme, i hope you make more builds like that :D
I know this video it's almost one year old, but I need to ask you... will you create more cyberpunk dioramas? This one it's pure gold!
Hi! Thank you for your channel. Great stuff. I'm building a cyberpunk city from scratch, recycled greebles etc. I'm hopefully over the half way point! Yours gave me some great ideas, such as the transparencies. Super cool, thanks again. 👍😎
Jeremy, I have to tell you how much of an inspiration you've been. Having been exposed to the likes of channels such as BMC, Miniac, Ninjon... (Which were the first I found) just to name a few, have practically changed my life. Exceptional work hands down. If possible could anyone tell me the track name for the dope ass 8bit style electronic music ?
If your looking for more great Cyberounk environments, look to the first Deus Ex, Anachronox, Westwoods Blade Runner, The Longest Journey, Ion Fury, and Nomad Soul.
The scifi game Freelancer is also very cool. In fact all the games mentioned here are worth a gander.
Hoi, chummer, that's some swaggy piece of sprawl. If I didn't know any better, I'd believe that you're some chromed-up vatjob with all that craftin' being chipped. I do know better, however, chip truth. It's easy with cyberpunk to go all roke, so it's nice to see such focused build. It's also always a pleasure to see lighting being incorporated.
I'll buzz off now, lest I feel the dump again.
I really enjoy these standalone dioramas. I don't play DnD (or is it D & D?). I'm just here for the entertainment and to learn new skills to apply to making dollhouse miniatures.
It looks great
Amazing work as always. Cyberpunk terrain isn't that far removed from Necromunda, I'm sure many will find a use for your insights, myself included. Keep up the good work!
I know you play Frostgrave. Stargrave just came out. You could build a ton of Cyberpunk stuff for that. Because that would be amazing!
cool, i play a HUGE amount of Cyberpunk 2020 (oddly can't play it this year so far, thanks Sars-Corvid 19) :(
ARE YOU WEARING A CHIMAERA STYLE RING??? Or am I in dire need of some sort of Thrawn detox?
Great Build. I can just hear Priss and the Replicants wailing Konya Wa Hurricane while in the background a Solos EMG-84 punches holes in some Booster gang
Here - have Country Roads - Cyberpunk style - ua-cam.com/video/u1_dy1EmV6w/v-deo.html (Working on a potential cyberpunk campaign, but not until next year at the soonest.I blame that song.)
That Kano-Raiden hybrid is bitchin' as shit. Also: play Necromunda if you want to make Cyberpunk stuff!
This video is mindblowing man... i'm enjoying so much with all your content... real congrats!!
I love the cyberpunk aesthetic. Love the diorama, man!
That's an amazing and inspiring Diorama! :O
Makes me wanna do those kind of things for my futur terrains !
Oh, might be a good thing to know : you could use some aluminum foils (laying flat) inside the enclosed LED space to help reflect more lights !
that's something I noticed when I was doing my cosplays, this might also work well !
That is, if you wanted/needed more light showing through the screens!
Thanks again for all these videos, they're a mine of knowledge and ideas !
