Man this game is hilariously fun. I would love to see this shine as what Reign of Kings could've been and more. I like the omnidirectional combat idea, and increasing mob difficulty / combat. It would be cool if this became the framework for guild wars, PvP, and castle sieges. I'd play endlessly
Oh yeah, second note, I really like that the magic is more balanced & restricted with mana. I think most MMOs/RPS/Survivals tend to make certain classes unfun & unplayable (rogues, warriors) because of how OP magic classes could be. I enjoyed the blink / meteor abilities as well. It would be cool if you can imbue magic features into classes like archery or crossbows.

Open world sandbox MMOesque as a solo dev is a TASK. Love The Butcher being one of the first bosses to see.

This is the 1st video I've seen of this game and if it doesn't already have dragon mounts then that should definitely be added. Also horse and buggies would be a good addition.

If the dev is reading our messages, my friend! You did a great great job as a start, never stop,improving the game by learning from others mistakes aka Reign of Kings and other games that shined then died due to devs not aiming properly, focus on the anti cheat as well in the future as alot of people seem to enjoy finding exploits/cheats to ruin the fun of the game.. ^^
I’m starting to feel like im the weird one for never going out if my way to find exploits 😂 Most of the issues I see im like oh, never would have tried that in 1million years what kind of rat found that 😂😂😂
It doesn't ruin the fun of the game. It makes things easier and faster for ppl. It also can be quite fun to have advantages over the game instead of being treated like a peasant struggling the whole time through... 🤷♂️

I'm less worried about cheats and more worried about good content and private servers and private coop as to I don't want to play with meddlesome hoodlums
Some exploits are ment to find ever wonder how some of those ridiculously expensive legendary weapons wear obtainable some games you were ment to cheat towards end game dragon age 2 is good example

Thanks for pointing this game out to me I just bought it since yesterday and I couldn't get enough of it it's a lot of fun one thing I could recommend is when you destroy your structures you should be able to get some of the materials back when you destroy it and if they can down the road adding more different type of spells that you can use in your inventory too

Reminds me of Oblivion. It would be cool to be able to craft spells and have different types of companions like servants and guards/soldiers.

I love how fluid the game is, seems quite well optimized, the clunky impact and the hit animations don't have a weight to them, almost feels like wow at times. The magic seems cool but there needs to be a lock on system and possibly better animations for the fire, I haven't seen more spells than that but the fire at least looks 2006 level of meh.
Please, reach out to Neebs Gaming. This game is right up their alley. They would bring some crazy stories and antics to this gem of a game. Not sure if Royal is familiar with Neebs, Appsro, Doraleous and Simon but knowing them they're gonna need some guidance.

Yoo idk if you knew, but most of those ppl fought dropped weapons, and u walked right past them. Probably can make some easy money like tht. I love the medieval feel and gameplay keep it up.

This looks great so far for a solo dev game! Lot's of different systems that all work together, it's a good base that the dev can build upon indefinitely :)
Makes me a little excited to maybe see you play my solo endeavor, it's a survival/sim hybrid passion project and i think you'd have fun with it (if it's ever completed that is lol)
Looks great so far and looks like this game can go a long ways. Looks like a game that should be more lile a few people playing it at a time though. Not sure how it will look in a server setting with about 100 people playing at the same time. Kind of reminds me of Reign of Kings, just looks and runs a lot better. Be cool to see everyone building castles though, but either way it will be cool and fun to watch or play.
I’d love to play this game! Only thing is if it goes the rust style route, I won’t be able to play it. I’m a truck driver and can’t keep up with a lobby full of people. If it goes the PVE route, I’d definitely be interested. What Royal said about controllable NPCs would be cool too. Could send them out to farm resources for my castle so I can focus on fighting dragons and such. I’m always interested in taming animals as well. Maybe even hatch a dragon egg or something. Either way, it looks cool.

I had planned on transitioning from console to PC in the beginning of next year. And the one game I wanted to play with vintage story. However, after watching this video I got another game I would like to play. I am genuinely, interested in playing this game.

It looked like almost all the people drop a weapon when you kill them.
this is how they should redue Diablo 1 looking like this and each dungeon..have a complete replicate of diablo 1 just different view looking..and allow you to build a base in the town to build a bed to heal chests ad few more other added things

This game looks so fun, I agree with a lot of your ideas, the only thing I’d add in is maybe a way to learn magic maybe? And possibly having the option to tame/ get your own dragon ( limit it to only one dragon so you don’t have a dragon army. (balance reasons) ) maybe a way to become a king and rule or a warlord and raid/ pillage.
I like how you are a peaceful soul enjoying these games exploring building and gathering but when you encounter an enemy and duke it out your battle instincts from previous pvp games kick in and you just kite and learn their attack patterns almost seamlessly instead of just pure hack and slash.

I feel like this dev is doing a good job on his own, but it should probably go into depth on some features, e.g. return of the dragon riders -> learn to tame and ride dragons like your ancestors and reclaim the land from the British, I mean Barbarians. It needs some kind of hook to make it unique and less of a general fantasy setting with a bunch of everything.

I was thinking this game was just like "conan the barbarian" but then you mentioned AI npcs to craft or guard, and I remembered conan does have those already. Conan also has mounts and guard/attack pet/companions.
I'm just wondering, in the beginning when he's running around in nothing but his bikini briefs, where is he keeping all the stuff in his inventory?

This game is no where near ready for EA, it's pre pre alpha at best. It's riddled with bugs, broken and unfinished content and constant wipes. The dev admits he has to wipe to fix bugs but they never seem to be fixed. The connectivity issue has been a problem from the beginning with no fix in sight. I don't recommend this game, even at the reduced price.

Would love it to be a PVE like DayZ but more focused on individual character development and missions like RDR... would be cool to see a character development tool for being good or bad which could change the different spells and armor classes you are able to utilize. More initiating random attacks on npcs would have your character develop towards an "evil" personality, more defending attacks instead of initiating them could give you a "good" personality, etc. LOTS of potential with this game and looks like a potentially beautiful world. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!!
I would Like me some NPC's that act like real Players If you Play solo. Maybe someone with Higher Level Armor fighting against a Dragon or Something. Makes the World more immersive in my opinion, I would also add a few castles and such with Knights guarding, a few NPCs Walking around and chatting.

Full structure bill should be are you able to do when you’re upgrading the villages in town from the game that you have no control over as a quest to upgrade those areas the other type of building should be for your own personal base

This really does look like the fantasy version of Rust. Since it is a fantasy game, I hope they add fantasy races, specifically beast races like lizarmen, lionmen, and even eaglemen. Would be neat to go around as a bird. All the races just for looks. None of the different advantages thing.

Over all, it looks like a pretty promising game. They seem to take a KISS approach-Keep It Simple, Stupid-in regards to building and looting. And plenty of room to loot before running out of space. I would lengthen the respawn timer of enemies and resources. The character running animation needs a little work but the countryside looks really, really nice.
33:40 That dramatic death moan, made me think that this game reminds me of Two Worlds..... Way better optimised though, I remember having to put in a cheat on Xbox to turn off the grass so it wouldn't lag as much.......
Look really good, bit more moving creatures around would be nice, to give it a more life feel or traveling merchants on the roads / normal village

The game looks good but hopefully as it get's polished the progresion also get's a bit polished because in 1 video without too many cuts i might add he has metal armor, a 1 shot crossbow has slain the "Dragon of death" he become archmage raining hell from the skies and heal at will, enemies drop supplies and potions like there's no tomorrow... I feel like you experience most of the game in like 5 hours if this keeps going.
