Andrew and his daughters are not senior royals. Senior royals refers to those who work fulltime as representatives of Queen and Commonwealth. Presently, that includes Prince Phillip, Charles and Camilla, and Charles heir William and his family, and Harry and Meghan, who preform official, ceremonial, diplomatic and representational duties on behalf if Queen and Commonwealth. Anne is fulltime also, but is not given support from Charles personal funds nor does she expect him to support her. In this case the non sequitur "senior royals" is not in reference to age or rank. It denotes only full-time working members and Andrew and his daughters are not. That issue was the cause if the rift between Charles and Andrew as Andrew wanted his daughters to be paid by the crown becayse they were blood princesses. The Queen turned that over to Charles who emphatically said no. Anne is a blood Princess too but she's not paid even though she is one of the hardest workers. Why should Andrew expect his girls to be paid? Charles supports his wife, Kate/Will, Harry/Meghan through his personal funds from the Cornwall Duchy. That includes clothing allowances for Camilla, Kate and Meghan yearly. None of that is taxpayer money. To give Andrew what he demands would mean Charles or the Queen would have to pay them from their personal funds or they are supported by the taxpayers and Charles said no to both as the girls have never worked fulltime or even part-time, though they attend a few openings now and then. They do nothing like all the engagements, long trips to represent the crown such as Will/Kate has done or Harry and Meghan are about to do. Presently Eugenie and her fiancee are living in Kensington. That has to be supported by the Queen and is probably a concession the Queen made to Andrew. The only time Andrew and his girls are referred to as "senior" royals is when referring to how close they are in birth to the Queen and that would be her children and their children, but particularly her heir and his family in the line of succession.
Thank you for the very clear and precise definition of what is, what isn’t, and why someone is a member of the senior royals.
How can they work if a position is not given to them in the monarchy? They should be given just as any of charles. You cant prevent the rift between the two...seeing the two princess of andrew getting old just waiting for the guy to marry. Not even sure if that guy will be the right one fir the royalty. Our politicians are generally in agreement that our sovereign is one of the reasons why we have any influence anywhere.

Although a Prince of the Royal House, he only holds the title of an Earl. However, some people (Ladies and Gentlemen) do, out of courtesy, nod their heads at his passing. Remember, HRH Prince Edward is now fairly low on the Succession Order which I believe is now 11th in line and he will slip to 12 or lower if any of the Yorkies have children and H&M have their child in June or thereabouts. His standing in Royal Processions, etc., will change when, upon the passing of our Beloved Queen, King Charles confers upon him the Title of Duke of Edinburgh.
