Princess Alexandra is a hard-working, globe-trotting princess, going to functions, lavish or insignificant. MBEs or poor villagers, she greets every one of them with respect. Hong Kong newspaper wrote, "Princess has left the pier, but her smile lingers." "Prettiest woman in England." Everywhere she went, people were awestruck by her beauty, her class, her presence, and her kindness. 💕

I only just noticed that the last sentence, where the speaker quotes Winston Churchill (without naming him) with the words "we got married and lived happily ever after", is almost certainly an allusion to the fact that the groom's father, Lord Airlie, was actually a first cousin of Churchill's wife (Clementine Churchill, née Hozier, daughter of Lady Blanche Ogilvy). Given that both Churchill and his wife were still alive at the time of this wedding it seems almost certain that the papers would have mentioned this relatively close relationship, and that therefore the speaker would in all likelihood have known about it too.
