- We have never returned since we added buttermilk and honey to our white sandwich country-style bread. The smoked ham is also from our recent pig that was slaughtered.
Chicken bullion alternative: Onion powder, parsley, oregano, turmeric, garlic salt, basil, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste. I added all ingredients as 1 tablespoon and did turmeric 1 tsp.
Ham soup: 10 red potatoes, 5-7 celery stalks, 5 carrots, 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, and as much ham as you want.
Bread: 6 1/2 cups of flower (bread flower is best)
Yeast 1 tablespoon 1/4 teaspoon ( I add a little more for my elevation)
3 tablespoons of honey or 1/3 cup depending on how sweet you want it
3/4 buttermilk
2 tablespoons of butter (melted)
1/4 warm water
1 teaspoon of sugar
youtube.com/@riveracresfarmstead?si=9KwNYuzvNoqRvomy. Is where I got the honey from

YUMMY LOOKING!
I'm jealous, it"s 95 hot and humid here in C.NY , yummy bread & soup !
Sounds great! 😃👍❤️🚂💨💨💨💨💨🚙
Now that bread did look nice. The lady next door to me makes bread with Raisins and ground nuts which when served with a bowl of thick lamb stew ( no pearl barley ) is just out of this world. Hits the spot good and hard on a cold day. thanks for sharing....
Mouth watering soup and bread. Fantastic!
Thank you 😋
Oh what beautiful bread!!! ❤❤ busy lady,
It was such a busy day. Thank you
I grew up on a farm here in Southern Africa and we used a little knife to peel our veg even though there was a potato peeler
Good morning!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
That bread looks delicious. I will try it over the weekend. 🤤
I could almost smell that bread, baking, and taste it when you were slicing it. Looks like some really good stuff! My buddy renders lard when he butchers a Pig. Not like the ones you have just a normal Pig. I have made buttermilk biscuits with it and used it for bread with fantastic results, as your pigs are especially known for their lard, I was wondering if you ever use it yourself?😊
A peeler and a Suburban. Throw in a Kitchen Aid for good measure. Ain't it great to be alive!
That was good, Enjoyed VL 🙂. Your both sweet hearts . I will try your bread, I cook big batches and freeze meals for hubby as he is on shift work, I don't like him taking Junk food to work. But i will try your bread that's for sure. Bet it smells good.
It’s so good. My honey lady saw the video and is getting me more honey 🍯 😜🤣
❤looks delicious 🙏🙂
It's 7:07 a.m., and no one is up but me! I'm visiting friends and that bread is making me hungry! Mercy! That looks so dang good!
I used to use whey from making cheese because I didn't have buttermilk.
I buy Mangalitza ham, the best
Ola, I peel the old school way. No peelers in this house
Kids don’t know how good they have it hahaha
Trying to get your recipe but for some reason or other I can only see the ingredients(I think all the ingredients are showing). Would love to try it.
I have it in the description check there and if you need more information let me know:)
