Hey buddy, good to see another runner. Im going to be pedantic but its said with love. The piston top is fixed in it's position on all strokes. The compression stroke is when both valves are shut and youll feel the compressed air in the plug hole. Of course this is no use when the head is off so you need to mark the cam/cams before removal assuming the last fellah did it right. In the case of a broken chain its a case of trial and error . Suck, inlet valve open . Squeeze both balves shut. Bang valves shut but piston going down. Blow ,exhaust valve open. Basically piston height in bore is fixed unless the bearings are fooked! 😂 . peace and love brother sorry for the lecture! ✌️❤️😉
He's training in level 2 motorcycle mechanics. It's good for me really because I've considered getting some paperwork for myself. But the level 2 is very basic. Cheers Mark
So you forgot to put oil in the cb200 & now you forgot the park plug after head rebuild.... Is James officially your career now 😂. Sorry couldn't resist, great work Charlie 👍.
I don't agree that the piston would rise higher in the barrel on the compression stroke. The piston is connected to two fixed points, it’s impossible for it to change.
It's something I've experienced in the past I believe but yes you have a point. What makes a false tdc then? What makes 1 stroke a compression stroke? Possibly only through valves mayby.
Also in the past we would put something through the spark plug hole to determine tdc. But I guess it could be tdc on any cycle until the valves are connected?

Nicely done Charlie 👍 and so much better for you to be showing someone who wants to learn 😀
Yes James is good. Hopefully he will do some more at the garage.
Cheers Glenn
He done really good comeing on the video I was like who is that lol nice work 😊
He didn't want to be on camera. But he will get used to it in the end I think.

correct
Yes, I'm not sure what I was thinking. Possibly thinking about multi cylinders
@@motorcyclerescuer If that's the biggest mistake you've made then your doing okay Charlie! All power to you mate. take care fella
I regularly make mistakes but your right yes, simple mistakes aren't to much of an issue.
Cheers mate
Nice when it all goes according to plan 👍
Yes true Derek. I regularly myself don't expect things to go to plan.
Cheers mate
Great vid mate and really decent of you helping the young guy out

Nice!! Good to see a runner, but also excellent gentle encouragement also. Top job.
Cheers Ryan. I do like having some people come support from time to time.
Hope your well mate.
@@motorcyclerescuer All good thanks except got Man flu at the moment, but I've got exciting news to share on my channel this weekend (hopefully) 🤞🏻
Hope you feel better soon Ryan

Ha ha ha, I should have lied and said I was circulating oil 🤣
I hope it does 😊
Yeh it's all good Georgie

It must be multi cylinder I'm thinking about. Finding which piston is at tdc for timing.
Nice work! No rabjab ?
He's not around as much anymore, but definitely still around.
🏍👍👍👍
Cheers Stephen
You don't know what you're doing and you're telling James wrong. TDC of a piston cannot change!
Agreed I got that wrong. I was confused thinking about multi cylinder.
