As a fan of both F1 and NASCAR, both have strengths and weaknesses, but I'd say one of the biggest strengths of NASCAR is parity. For example, in the 2022 seasons, F1 had 4 different different drivers win a race, where as NASCAR had 19. On any given race, you could have anywhere between 5 and 15 different drivers with a car good enough to win.
Yeah I’m a betting man and so I love betting on nascar but I always lose on nascar because it’s so unpredictable but when I get low on funds I just bet on f1 because it’s almost always the same winner
The thing about the booing, a lot of sports fans here treat all sports like pro wrestling, you boo your rivals or in sports like nascar the “villain” and these guys kind of relish it because you have to be doing something good to be booed like that
So cool to see you react to the motorsport that I've loved all my life! Joey Logano is my favorite driver. I've been a fan of his since he started in NASCAR!
Since they haven't explained it. When you hear the drivers talk about "Tight" and "Loose" its understeer and oversteer. Oh and the boos. As you stated an oddly American thing. There are only a few drivers who really get boos. For the example in the show with Denny Hamlin, he plays the bad guy role. He has recently had a ton of on track shenanigans with Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott (VERY popular drivers). He also comes off as cocky and arrogant, If ya can't tell. He embraces the boos and plays into the villain role. Americans like to voice our opinions (although some really shouldn't...) and they will boo who they dislike. Although no matter how loud they boo, they still have the respect for him as a driver. Its part of the theatrics of it all. Most of the races i've been to the winner gets cheers.
I get to go to Bristol twice a year and as much fun as this racing looks on TV, being there at a track where from any seat you can see the entire track, is crazy!

One of my favorite Joey Logano quotes is "If you want friends at the race track, bring them with you."

I would equate Boos to the whistles that you hear at European sporting events, especially at soccer (football) matches.
That sword is part of the trophy as well NASCAR we got alot of unique trophies.

Same thing i enjoy racing whenever it's NASCAR or F1.😊
It gets better and better!
