Well Logano wrecking Kenseth was discrete enough to seem like a racing accident while Kenseth has 0 care and had nothing to lose so he made it clear he wrecked Logano on purpose

Muscle weigh more than fat, so in his eyes, both fat and muscle are at a loss.
Only toothpicks like him can truly gain the top speed and preserve weight/speed distribution.

They also lose 10-20 pounds each race
Drivers sweat off 10 to 15 pounds a race because it is so hot in the car, so they have to bulk up to compensate.
Their last race at Iowa it was 112 to 117 in thoes cars. Imagine driving in heat like that. Atleast they have cool suits.

I love how the drivers can be 30kg overweight, just shows what a great competition racing around an oval track is, and how disciplined the drivers have to be. (sarcasm off)
Well the reason their weight doesn't really matter is because each of the cars are perfectly balanced to a certain weight with the driver. It doesn't matter if you're 150 lbs or 250 lbs. They will put extra weights in your car if you don't meet the minimum weight requirement.
